According to several sources, a change in editors at the magazine ended up killing the Brooks pictorial as the new editor didn't want any association between the magazine and professional wrestling.
Brooks was expected to appear in an issue of Playboy this Fall, one of the reasons she was brought back to the TNA storylines with such a prominent role as a member of the Main Event Mafia.
Fear not, however, as the photo shoot will instead be included within the "Cyber Club" of the Playboy website later this month.
Brooks would have been the first female professional wrestler to pose for the magazine outside of WWE's auspices.
