I just watched the end of Raw and I need to vent. I am sure that some of you probably share my frustration. Let's look at what happened.
Dusty Rhodes was the show's guest host. He booked his son Cody a title match against Randy Orton. That made sense.
Then, the announcers referenced Orton laying out Dusty in the past. Cody, who says he loves his dad, is thick as thieves with Orton. Huh? What, is he passive aggressive with his Pops?
In the main event, Dusty decided to "help his son" by turning heel on John Cena (does that really make him a face?) and playing party to Orton and Cody attacking Cena. Uh, wouldn't his son be better served by, oh I don't know, TAKING THE DAMN TITLE MATCH? As stupid as Ted DiBiase was in joining up with Orton after Randy beat him silly in the past, at least he was smart enough to take the match when he got his chance at the belt.
And how about Dusty, who is now every bit as stupid as Sting ever was in WCW (and man, they did a great job selling that DVD with Santino Marella playing The Shockmaster didn't they ) agreeing to help lowlife Orton after what he did to him in the past? Does Dusty have ALL DAY SUCKER tattooed on his forehead?
But of course, it gets worse. Orton showed his gratitude to Cody and Dusty by relegating The Dream to a quivering mass of, well, mass with an RKO. What did dopey Cody do? NOTHING! He let Orton punk out his dad, again, right after Big Dust did him a solid.
Honestly, do you have to be a barely functioning simpleton to find any semblance of logic in that crap? Many weeks Raw is bad. Many weeks Raw is stupid. But tonight was one of those rare evenings when WWE not-so-creative put together the perfect storm of suck-ti-tude and actually made their viewers stupider and a drain on society just by watching it. Congratulations WWE, job oh-so-well done. Morons.
I apologize for ranting instead of posting news, but I was worried I would have nightmares if I didn't purge the garbage I just saw from my system. Consider this a text enema.
