Germany's WXW announced that Matt Cardona has suffered a torn pectoral muscle and will be pulling out of an upcoming booking for the promotion as he required surgery to repair the injury.
A translated version of their announcement reads:
"Matt Cardona informed us yesterday that he has to take a break due to a torn pectoral muscle and will therefore not be present at wXw Drive of Champions on June 1st. We ask for a little patience until we have discussed the next steps with all parties involved. We wish @TheMattCardona a speedy recovery! #GetWellSoon"
Cardona was slated to appear at this weekend's TNA Rebellion PPV and subsequent TV Taping in Las Vegas.
