WILL PUNK SUE AEW, WHY TONY KHAN BOOKED THE ELIMINATOR MATCH THIS WEEK, TIFF AT MANIA IS COMING AND MORE

I know you must be getting bored with questions about Tony Kahn's lack of wrestling sense, but please bear with me.  What is the point of the "eliminator" matches when nobody ever wins one to get a title shot?  Surely in storyline terms a few folk should get the W?  Also, why does he hold "Battle of the Belts" when we know full well that no title changes are ever going to happen on the show?

First off, to me the Eliminator concept is one of the laziest things that AEW does in my opinion.  “Hey, let’s find someone who is not in the Title picture and see if they can somehow get lucky and win a match against the champ so that they can get a real Title match!”  It’s just a lazy way to put a match together that has no story behind it but this week it did have a purpose, Tony Khan wanted to put a Rhodes against a Samoan in the main event of Dynamite.  I wonder where he got THAT idea!  Sheesh, he is such a bad booker.  As for Battle Of The Belts, that is just another show to me.  Not much means anything in AEW because Tony, again, is a terrible booker.

Did I read his comments wrong or did Kenny Omega finally say out loud that Tony and the Bucks are the problem?  If that’s the way you read it, is Tony Khan really so dense that he’s going to wind up with The Bucks and the California crew instead of Cody, Punk and eventually even Omega?

That was exactly what I took from what Kenny said and I have gained a lot of respect for him saying it.  I have been saying for a while now that my take on Kenny was that he was the good friend who was along for the ride when the bad friends did something wrong, but he didn’t have a role in it.  After hearing him talk about the incident, that sure seems like I got that one right.  Some people ask me why I am so hard on hack reporters, like Uncle Dave, who report slanted versions of the truth that fit their narrative.  Here’s why. What REALLY happened was that someone close to Adam Page LIED to him and told him that CM Punk was keeping Colt Cabana off of TV.  Tony Khan did nothing to stop the lie from growing after it was “reported” by hacks and it led to Adam Page being completely unprofessional and double cross Punk on national TV.  The hacks in the media then blamed everything on Punk, because that fit the lie that they wanted to feed the masses, that indy wrestling mixed with the Japanese style would blow WWE out of the water.  Of course, anyone with a brain knew that wasn’t true, but once those hacks endorsed that the ridiculous narrative, they skewed the “news” to fit it. In and of itself, it would have just been your crazy uncle getting things wrong but unfortunately some really gullible, or stupid, people believed him and it led to both AEW losing their top star in Punk but also escalated the tribalism that led hardcore AEW fans to attack anyone that disagreed with them and their vision of what good wrestling is.  I am glad to hear that Kenny had no hand in all of that stupidity and that his main priority when The Young Bucks chose to barge into Punk’s dressing room was to make sure Larry was OK.  I hope when he gets well, he can go to a company run by adults and have a good run.

If what I am hearing about British law is true and Tony Khan needed CM Punk's permission to air the security footage on Dynamite, if you were CM Punk and didn't give it to him, would you sue Khan?

I would have been on the phone to my lawyer the second AEW announced that they were airing the footage to find out what my options were.  If it ends up Tony didn’t have the right to air the footage, I would be suing the hell out of him and he would deserve it for being such a petulant child for airing it in the first place.

How can WWE not find a spot for Tiffany Stratton on WrestleMania?  She was getting some of the loudest reactions pre Mania.

No everyone will make it on to WrestleMania and there was no reason to rush Tiff.  She is so young she has plenty of time ahead of her.  I would rather someone not appear on the show that be forced on it.

After the Mike Johnson controversy that wasn’t, it got me thinking about when it was nearly unimaginable that WWE would have communication with a “wrestling site”. When do you think the opinion of Mike/PWInsider became that of a respected journalist and someone wanted (not banned!) at WWE events?

It lets me know that our work has garnered some respect.  It really started back when Paul Levesque was running NXT so I always looked at it like it was his move.  It’s appreciated.
