LOGAN PAUL’S LOGO, TONY’S MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENTS, RONDA’S TIME HAS COME AND GONE AND MORE

So by Ronda Rousey’s own admissions, particularly from her 2nd run, when she doesn’t get her way, she constantly complains about her storylines and promo scripts with childish threats of quitting and name calling because “she just came here to have fun with her friends”. Even by her own version of the Aaliyah-Bruce Pritchard event, Liv Morgan came off reasonable and prudent, while Ronda judgmentally snarls and pouts (as if she thinks this makes her look cool) before Pritchard even told his side. Do you think Ronda was given too much too soon by debuting on top, so she didn’t appreciate her position - causing her to act out? Or do you think Ronda’s WWE run simply validates the criticism from the end of her UFC run - that she is difficult to deal with when she does not get her way, uncompromising, and immature?

I think when she came in, it made sense since she had a lot of star power to her.  As time went on, that star power dimmed and she was used commensurate with that.  She didn’t like it.  She made the right call by leaving.  She can complain all she wants now. WWE doesn’t need her.

A Goldberg retirement tour that culminates in a big money, highlighted, future Wrestlemania match seems like easy money for WWE with a network special, new merch, and the novelty of a big star’s last series of matches to spike ratings. Why doesn’t WWE want to do this? Does Goldberg have heat with HHH or does he want too much money?

First off, he is 57 years old.  That is pretty old for a long tour.  Second, WWE doesn’t need to do that kind of thing.  Back in Vince’s day, when creative stunk, yeah that would have made sense.  Now, with Paul Levesque in charge, they are moving forward so well that they don’t need to go backwards.

Tony Khan and his “major announcements”…. Ugh! At this point is the only one that could truly live up to Tony’s hyperbole that Vince is coming to AEW? I think he’s basically the only person in the industry that would touch that dude. I don’t know him and have a tendency to turn off the TV when Tony comes on, but do you think he’s actually had the idea of offering Vince a platform?

I have no idea how Tony’s mind works so I can’t say but I don’t see that deal ever happening.  I don’t see Vince ever going to the distant number two company.

If you are Logan Paul, do you feel slighted that WWE chose C4 as their official energy drink instead of his product?  Does the situation create any conflict of interest between WWE and Logan?

If it’s me, no.  Business is business.  If you want the spot, pay the price.  Logan was psyched on his podcast that his Prime logo was in the middle of the ring.  I think he’s fine with it.

I really do want AEW to succeed and grow, but with what we know about their lackluster attendance figures, plus their spending on big money talent contracts, it's hard to believe that the company is even close to being profitable.  In its current form, AEW seems to exist only as long as the Khans are willing to spend their money on it.  So, if Shad Khan decided today to stop funding AEW, would that be the official end of the company?

First off, I think CM Punk was right on the money when he said that AEW is not run like a real business.  It’s not there to sell tickets or make money.  It’s there to give Tony Khan the outlet that he wants to be a booker/promoter.  If Shad cut off funding I guess it would depend on how much personal funds Tony would have to put into the company.  I don’t know what his net worth is so I can’t say.  But what I can say is that I wish he would stop running AEW the way he does now, when it appeals to a niche audience, and actually look to appeal to the whole wrestling audience.
