Thoughts on Edge's April 3 Dynamite promo?
The first word that comes to mind is embarrassing. I was embarrassed for Tony Khan that he was such a baby after CM Punk told the truth about what AEW is to Ariel Helwani that he needed Edge to go out there and give him the promo version of a Tony hug. I was embarrassed for Edge that he did it. Maybe he actually meant it, I can’t say. I know he is happy to be working with Christian again and he knew WWE didn’t want him in a full time role anymore. He is probably being paid very well. But again, I was embarrassed for both men. Punk made valid points about what is wrong in AEW and rather than address the problems, those two proved Punk right in what he said makes AEW the mess that it is.
AEW there is a place where every wrestler has creative freedom. However, looks like a lot of wrestlers talk about "AEW is where the best wrestlers wrestle". Several of them state the same. Maybe it's a call from the "Powers above them", to promote the brand in a certain way, like WWE telling the talent "you have to say the Most Stupendous WrestleMania Ever over and over". What do you think?
I think it’s what Tony Khan believes and wants AEW’s message to be. Whether he is making them say it or they are smart enough to give the boss what he wants, I guess it depends on the person. I can’t say for sure.
Is there any chance Jack Perry and Tony Khan are working fans when it comes to his absence and alleged ghosting? What do you think if it was a work?
I don’t think so but if there is any chance it’s literally the lowest possible percentage that it’s a work.
On SmackDown last week, Jade looked like a million bucks. She, Bianca, and Naomi seem like a super team. Do you think when they go to Backlash France they should add Bayley and have an 8-woman tag?
I could definitely see that happening. They have been playing the long road with Bayley and Bianca. At this point, if Bayley does something selfless to help Bianca, I think the beef will be over.
If the Vince crimes hadn't been discovered would we have seen Brock Lesnar inducting Heyman into the HOF because of their history together or would it still be Roman because of storyline related? Also have you heard anything about how their relationship is today?
Honestly, both men mean a lot to Heyman so either would work perfectly. Personally, I think Roman works better because as good as Paul’s run with Brock was, The Bloodline has lifted the business to a new level. As far as I know, Heyman and Lesnar remain super close.
