UPDATE ON RING OF HONOR FINAL BATTLE PPV

By Mike Johnson on 2020-12-12 02:07:00

Ring of Honor will not disclose the planned changes to the ROH Final Battle PPV until the night of the broadcast on Friday 12/18, PWInsider.com has confirmed.

The current plan is to advise fans of the updated lineup during the free broadcast of the first hour of the PPV on ROH's streaming channel Best on the Planet, STIRR City, Facebook and YouTube.   That free hour will air from 8 PM EST - 9 PM EST.  Fans ordering the show on PPV, FITE.TV and Honorclub will see the first hour as part of their PPV purchase.

Ring of Honor announced yesterday that due to failing pre-travel COVID-19 testing, Bandido, EC3, Flamita and Kenny King would not be taking part in the PPV and upcoming TV tapings in Baltimore.

Ring of Honor talents are required to self-test (under the supervision of a nurse via Zoom) for COVID-19 and submit those samples to a lab.  Once they pass those tests, they are permitted to travel to the ROH hotel, at which point they are sequestered in their hotel room and undergo a series of additional tests over the course of the bubble stay, their performances and even before their exit from the hotel.  The ROH Bubble procedures, the strictest in professional wrestling, were devised in conjunction with the Maryland State Athletic Commission.

The current Final Battle lineup features:

*ROH Champion Rush vs. Brody King.

*Tony Deppen vs. LSG vs. Josh Woods vs. Dak Draper - Winner Receives ROH TV Title Match at FB 2020 later that night.

*ROH TV Champion Dragon Lee vs. Four-Way Victor.

*ROH Tag Team Champions Jay Lethal & Jonathan Gresham vs. Mark Briscoe & PCO.

*ROH Pure Champion Jonathan Gresham vs. Flip Gordon.

*Matt Taven & Mike Bennett vs. Vincent & Bateman.

*ROH Six Man Tag Team Champions Mexisquad vs. Shane Taylor & The Soldiers of Savagery due to Flamita and Bandido being pulled.

*EC3 vs. Jay Briscoe due to EC3 being pulled.
