GFW-LOW KI UPDATE, GFW AT TRIPLEMANIA, RAVES FOR JOHNNY IMPACT AND MORE NEWS

By Mike Johnson on 2017-08-24 11:54:00

An update on the Low Ki departure.  The financial story that was making the rounds that we mentioned yesterday has continued to be shot down by multiple sources, who all state that it was more a difference of opinion on where he was going to be slotted going forward.  The company wanted him back in the X-Division for Bound for Glory and going forward after that.  Ki, who had been positioned as a title contender for Alberto el Patron, wanted to remain in that realm.  We are told Ki has not been issued a release and remains under contract through October.  He had been a great part of revitalizing the X-Division in recent months.

Don't be shocked to see the company shoot some angles at AAA's Triplemania this Saturday building to Bound for Glory.   Johnny Mundo/Impact, Bobby Lashley, Moose, Jeff Jarrett and Rosemary are all advertised.    Scheduled for Triplemania is:

*Psycho Clown vs. Dr. Wagner Jr - Mask vs. Mask.
*AAA champion Johnny Mundo vs. Hijo del Fantasma vs. Texano Jr
*Pagano vs. El Mesias: Streetfight.
*Team Parka (La Parka, Bengala, & Argenis) vs. Team Relevos Increidible (Faby Apache, Australian Suicide, & Pimpinela Escarlata) vs. Ex-AAA (Pirata Morgan, Heavy Metal, & Villano IV) vs. Los OGT's (Averno, Super Fly, & Chessman) vs. Los Guapos (Scorpio Jr., Zumbido, & Decnnis) vs. Team GFW (Lashley, Moose, & Jeff Jarrett) vs. Los Vipers (Psicosis, Histeria, & Maniaco) vs. Mexican Powers (Crazy Boy, Ñino Hamburguesa, & Lanzelot) vs. Los Perros del Mal (Joe Líder, Halloween, & Mr. Águila) vs. Leyendas (El Intocable, Blue Demon Jr., & Luchador Sorpresa)
*AAA Tag Team champions Dark Cuervo and Dark Scoria vs. Aero Star and Drago vs. Monster Clown and Murder Clown vs. GFW Team TBA.
*AAA Renia de Reinas champion Sexy Star  vs. Lady Shani vs. Ayako Hamada vs. Rosemary
*Big Mami & Dinastía & Estrella Divina & Máscara de Bronce vs. Hernandez & La Hiedra & Mamba & Mini Psycho Clown.

There were raves from all corners about Johnny "Impact" Hennigan's work at the TV tapings this past week.

We've had questions about where Homicide disappeared to as he wasn't at the tapings this week.  We are told he is not injured but the company opted to not bring him in as he wasn't needed to help further the LAX story at the most recent TV tapings.  We are told the company was much more judicious in general with how many talents they brought in for this last set of tapings as there were a number of Northeast-based talents who were not there this week as well.

Pope Dinero is done with the company as the two sides were unable to come to terms financially.  The door is open for down the line, obviously.

Bruce Prichard's "firing" on Impact may not be his final appearance for the company.  There was talk he would be back in November, but obviously everything is subject to change since we are long way away from the Bound for Glory PPV and those TV tapings.

Eddie Kingston will resurface on tonight's edition of Impact Wrestling in the Gauntlet to crown the new GFW champion.
