WWE NETWORK NEWS AND NOTES

By Mike Johnson on 2017-08-22 15:13:00

Before we go into some WWE Network news, I want to extend our deepest condolences to Dana Brooke on the passing of her boyfriend, bodybuilder Dallas McCarver.  We hope Brooke gets the privacy she deserves to deal with such a sudden loss.  We have specifically not made this story a headline and going forward, will be giving her exactly that - privacy.    Speaking for myself personally (and not anyone else at PWInsider), I am extremely saddened by the fact his tragic passing is being used as news fodder simply due to who he was dating.  This is not a reference to any particular outlet, but just the fact that it's happened in general.  I know it's human nature in the day and age of social media, but I can't help but feel the entire spotlight on it and the angle that it was her boyfriend being utilized for attention in headlines only exacerbates what is already a terrible day and tragedy for Brooke.  We wish her well and again, our deepest condolences to she and McCarver's family.  26 is far too young.

There are plans to air a special on Madusa aka Alundra Blayze in September, timed with the finals of the Mae Young Classic.

We are told that the week the Classic airs live from Las Vegas on 9/12, 205 Live will indeed air following the finals.  It's a good thing they are broadcasting from Vegas.

September will also feature the second season of WWE's animated series Storytime.

The September Collections for the Network's VOD are said to be dedicated to Sting and The Undertaker.

For those of who you have asked about these two series, I was told that WCW Thunder and Sunday Night Heat are both in line to be added to the Vault section later this year.  I am hoping personally they keep adding some more World Class and old school WWE house shows.

There are no plans to add the Table for 3 episode with Ric Flair, Sting and Ricky Steamboat until Flair's health situation improves to the point he is out of the woods.
