INJURY LEADS TO LEGIT MATCH STOPPAGE ON RAW

By Mike Johnson on 2017-08-21 20:46:00

Big Cass suffered a leg injury during his Brooklyn Street Fight against Enzo Amore live on Raw, forcing the match to be legitimately stopped for medical reasons.

During the match, which had been completely dominated by Cass, he charged Enzo, who was on the apron.  Enzo avoided him and Cass went over the top to the floor, landing badly on his left leg, which twisted wrong.

Cass returned to the ring and even executed a bodyslam on Amore, after which he presumably told the referee that something was wrong.  Cass went to rebound off the ropes for the Empire Elbow but his knee buckled and Cass went down.

Cass rolled to the apron, where he was met by a WWE medical official.  The referee rang the bell, leading to Amore being named the winner by referee's stoppage.

Live in the building, but off camera, Cass was assisted to the locker room.  He did attempt to walk out on his own but was unable to, instead being walked out by officials who held him up.
