AMAZING SUMMERSLAM MARKETING IN NYC, BELLA WINE IS COMING, HBK GOING TO UK, STEPH AT TAKEOVER, PRICHARD SOLD OUT, LYNCH CALLS OUT CYBORG AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2017-08-20 12:06:00

While driving home from WWE NXT Takeover last night, I was met with a shocking scene - the gigantic face of Samoa Joe looking down at me, projected upon the Brooklyn Bridge, followed by the faces of Shinsuke Nakamura, Roman Reigns and other WWE talents.  When readers ask me whether another wrestling company can ever step up to challenge WWE, I often say no, and it's for reasons like this - only WWE's marketing team would come up with an idea where graphics and images promoting their PPV will be projected onto the Brooklyn Bridge for all of NYC to see as they drive by and then execute it.  With all due respect to every other company, many of which put on world class pro wrestling, It will be near-impossible for any other company to ever have that sort of reach and ability from a marketing and promotional standpoint.

WWE held a special event with the Make-Wish Foundation yesterday morning on the top of the One World Observatory in NYC where Nikki Bella, AJ Styles, Seth Rollins, Dolph Ziggler and Dana Warrior surprised a group of families who thought they were just going to be touring the Observatory.  I'll be writing a full length piece about this tomorrow, but it was mind-blowing to see the reaction of the kids, one of whom even tried to take down Styles.  It was a really touching event and it was one of those moments where I realize how lucky I am to have this job.

Nikki Bella will be officially announcing the launch of her wine next week.

Stephanie McMahon and Dana Warrior were both sitting ringside at last night's WWE NXT Takeover: Brooklyn III event.
