For the first time at a Takeover event in Brooklyn, the merchandise stands are also selling Summerslam and main roster talent shirts and merchandise. That is somewhat surprising since those sales will cannibalize the NXT merchandise on a show that features no main roster talents.
The backstage segments with Kurt Angle and Shinsuke Nakamura were broadcast live to the fans in attendance
When Baron Corbin was brought through the crowd, the crowd chanted "You f***ed up" in regard to his failed MITB cash in.
Nigel McGuinness and Mauro Ranallo each received massive pops when they were introduced to the live crowd. Percy Watson, not so much.
WWE NXT SPOILERS FOR 8/23:
No Way Jose came out and was leading his conga line when Lars Sullivan attacked him and laid him out. Crowd loved Jose and booed the hell out of Lars.
Peyton Royce pinned Sarah Logan with a Northern Lights suplex in a very good competitive match.
WWE UK champ Pete Dunne and Wolfgang defeated Tyler Bate and Trent Seven in an excellent match.
