Why would Wendi Richter accept a WWE Hall of Fame acknowledgement after WWF pretty much ended her career with the screwjob in MSG?

First, I don't think Richter's career ended with the screwjob.  She never worked for WWE again, but did work for the AWA and in Puerto Rico, among other promotions and probably worked in other places all over the world that I don't recall.   As far as why she took the HOF invitation, there are lots of reasons why she may have done it: the payment, the chance for closure, the chance to be featured on a large scale again and be acknowledged, the chance to feel vindicated, the chance to have that moment before her family - there are lots of reasons why Richter said yes.

Is it true WWE was once going to make a Rey Mysterio cartoon?

Yes, there was a planned cartoon that was pitched in the early 2000s titled Hanging in the 619 that would have featured Rey Mysterio, Chavo Guerrero and others as children.  It never offiically went into production.

Who was Jimmy Jack Funk?  Was he actually related to the Funks?

Jimmy Jack Funk was Jesse Barr, who had wrestled in the Pacific Northwest area before his WWF run.  He was not related to the Funks in any way, but was a creation of WWF when Terry Funk left the company.

I really like watching Samoa Joe's work in WWE, but never saw him in TNA or elsewhere.  What are some matches I should check out?

I would track down his matches in Ring of Honor against AJ Styles, CM Punk, Kenta Kobashi and Low Ki.  In TNA, check out his matches with Kurt Angle as well as his three-way with Chris Daniels and AJ Styles.  Those are some good matches to start with.  I think you will like what you find as Joe was considered one of the best wrestlers in the world at that point and was just hitting his prime.  There are scores of excellent Joe matches from that era.  TNA and ROH actually sold several "Best of Joe" DVD sets during that time period as well.

Who trained Rich Swann?

Swann trained at the CZW school and before that with Adam Flash and Darren Wyse in Pennsylvania.
