WWE SMACKDOWN REPORT: PARTICIPANTS IN MONEY IN THE BANK ANNOUNCED, THE FASHION FILES FATE IS DETERMINED, BIG WOMEN'S MATCH ANNOUNCED FOR NEXT WEEK, AND MORE

By Richard Trionfo on 2017-05-23 21:58:00

We start off with a look back at Sunday's Backlash Pay Per View.

We are in Toledo, Ohio and your announcers are John Layfield, Tom Phillips, and Byron Saxton.

We go outside the arena and there is a police escort in front of two vehicles.  The first has the Singh Brothers and their carpet for Jinder Mahal to walk onto as he emerges from his limo.

Jinder laughs.

Shane McMahon comes out and he does the Shane-O Shuffle to the ring.

The briefcase is above the ring so Shane may be talking about the Money in the Bank Ladder Match.

Shane reminds everyone about history being made on Sunday night with Jinder Mahal winning the WWE Title.  Shane says in four weeks, at Money in the Bank, Randy Orton will exercise his rematch clause.  In his home town of St. Louis, Randy will try to get his title back.  Shane says the Money in the Bank Match will also take place.  One superstar will climb the ladder to capture the Money in the Bank briefcase.  There is a contract for a WWE Title match whenever they want

Shane introduces the participants in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match.

AJ Styles comes out.  He is followed by Baron Corbin.  Out next is Sami Zayn.  Dolph Ziggler is the fourth man to come out.

Kevin Owens makes his way to the stage and he has a mic.

Shane stops Kevin's music and he tells Kevin that he is not in the Money in the Bank match.  Shane brings out the fifth man and it is Shinsuke Nakamura.

Shane says these are your five participants going into Money in the Bank.

Kevin Owens asks Shane if these are the five guys going into Money in the Bank.  He understands why some belong.  Nakamura and Sami won at Backlash.  Kevin reminds Shane that he won at Backlash.  Kevin points out that the man he beat at Backlash is in the match but he is not.  Kevin says it is all about favoritism.  Smackdown is the Land of Opportunity when Shane dictates those opportunities.

Kevin says he thinks Shane did not put him in the match.  It is because at Smackdown, he did what Shane could not.  He beat the Crown Jewel of Smackdown, AJ Styles.

Shane says Kevin has some salient points.  Because of your performance at Backlash and because you are the United States Champion.  Shane says that Kevin is the sixth participant in the Money in the Bank Match.

Baron tells Kevin to stop talking.  Baron says that Kevin will pay for whining and crying to get in the match.  Baron says none of them have a chance so they should lower the briefcase right now and give it to him.

AJ tells Baron to hold on and he reminds Baron that this is the House that AJ Styles Built.   It was not built with twigs, sticks, or bricks.  It was built by him being phenomenal night after night.  It was not built by count outs and cheap shots.  He does not care if it is WWE's Eric Cartman, the Show Off, the Lone Wolf, the Underdog, or the Rockstar.  He will show why he is the franchise player on Smackdown and he will get the briefcase and get back his WWE Title.

Sami says that he respects what AJ has done, but he did not come here to watch AJ run victory laps.

Baron interrupts and says that Sami is coming off his upset.  He says that Sami is the Rudy of this match.  He will be living off that for the rest of his pathetic life.

Sami says Baron may call it a fluke but he calls it kicking Baron in the face and beating him.  Sami says if Baron wants to go Double or Nothing, they don't have to wait.

Kevin tells them to shut up and Dolph tells Kevin to shut up.

Dolph says that he is the only one who has won Money in the Bank of the people in the ring.  Dolph reminds everyone he cashed it in and became World Champion.  He says he will do it again.

Nakamura takes the mic and he says for those of you who do not know him, he is Shinsuke Nakamura.  You can call him Mr. Money in the Bank.

Shane says that there will be a rematch from Backlash.  Baron Corbin will face Sami Zayn.  In the main event, Dolph Ziggler and Kevin Owens will face Shinsuke Nakamura and AJ Styles.

Nakamura says they are a team tonight but at Money in the Bank, he will take the briefcase and turn AJ's house into his playground.

It is time for the Fashion Files . . . The Final File.  They are in Toledo (in the same police station as last week).  Shane wants to know what is going on.  Tyler and Fandango come in and ask the Commissioner if they want to see him.  They turn in their badges after losing on Sunday.

Shane tells them that they are not real cops.  Fandango says that if you start saying that, they are right.  Tyler asks if they want their guns too and they give them to Shane.  They give all of their fashion attire and they start to take off their uniforms.

Shane tells them they belong.  Shane tells Tyler that he will face Jey Uso while Fandango will face Jimmy Uso.

Tyler and Fandango realize they are back on the case and they take their stuff.
