House of Hardcore presented their 26th event in St. James, Long Island this past Friday. The show was main evented by what was planned as the first and only meeting of Cody Rhodes and Tommy Dreamer with Rhodes scoring the win but then paying tribute to Dreamer for hiring him in WWE. The two then paid tribute to Dusty Rhodes, who was Dreamer's idol growing up, before Rhodes turned on Dreamer and left him laying, setting up The Sandman to clear the ring before sending the crowd home with a beer bash.
Dan Barry jacked up his ribs during a dive during a three-way tag match between Team Tremendous, The Now and The Spirit Squad. Team Tremendous was back as Bill Carr had served his six month "suspension" after losing a loser leaves town for six months bout that had been necessitated by his real life job creating conflicts on certain weekends.
The promotion will run a five city Australia tour in June on the following dates with Dreamer, Jack Swagger, The Young Bucks, Billy Gunn, Matt Cross, MVP, Colt Cabana and Bull James already announced:
6/16 in Brisbane at the Brisbane Showground.
6/17 in Sydney at the Sydney Showground.
6/18 in Perth at the Cyril Jackson Recreation Centre.
6/23 in Melbourne at the Whitehorse Club.
6/24 in Adelaide at the Marion Leisure & Fitness Club.
Currently, the Australian dates are not confirmed to air on Flosports.
HOH will return to Philadelphia at the 2300 Arena on 8/12. There will be a convention in the afternoon leading up to the live event.
House of Hardcore debut at Northwestern Medicine Field in Geneva, IL (outside of Chicago) on 8/26 with Tommy Dreamer, The Spirit Squad, The Sandman, MVP, Aiden O'Shea, Kevin Fertig and Swoggle already announced. The promotion is working on adding another date in the mid-west that weekend.
