WWE UK CHAMPIONSHIP SPECIAL REPORT: BATE VERSUS ANDREWS, DUNNE VERSUS SEVEN, WOLFGANG VERSUS CONNERS, AND MORE

We begin the show with a look back at highlights from the finals of the UK Title Tournament that saw Tyler Bate defeat Pete Dunne to become the first UK Champion.  Mark Andrews says the tournament has turned everyone's lives around.  We see some of the UK tournament wrestlers appearing on WWE television.  They talk about being at Wrestlemania.  Tyler talks about defending his title on NXT.  He says it is a dream come true.  Mark says everyone has been trying to get the title from Tyler.  They talk about how the UK title is theirs.  Tyler says he has a target on his back and he will do what it takes to keep the title around his waist.

We are in Norwich, England and your announcers are Nigel McGuinness and Jim Ross.

We have a video feature on Wolfgang.  He says it was heartbreaking to lose to Tyler Bate and he feels he let himself down.  He says he is faster, stronger, and more aggressive.  He will prove that he is the last true King of Scotland.

We have a video package for Joseph Conners.  After the Tournament a lot has changed for him.  He was close to holding something he has worked eleven years for.  It is not about where you start, it is about where you finish.  The future looks good for him.

Match Number One:  Wolfgang versus Joseph Conners

They lock up and Conners with a waist lock but Wolfgang with a side head lock.  Conners with a wrist lock that takes Wolfgang to the mat.  Conners with a side head lock.  Conners with a shoulder tackle but Wolfgang does not go down.  Wolfgang with a leg lariat and Conners checks to see if he has all of his teeth.  Wolfgang with a back elbow.  Wolfgang misses a splash into the corner and Conners tries for a suplex but Wolfgang blocks it.   Wolfgang continues to block suplex attempts and Conners with forearms.  Wolfgang with a delayed vertical suplex as he spins Conners around before landing the hold.  Wolfgang gets a near fall.

Wolfgang with a European uppercut followed by a slam.  Wolfgang points to the corner and he goes up top but Conners stops him and knocks Wolfgang off the turnbuckles to the floor.  Conners with a baseball slide that knocks Wolfgang off the apron.  Conners sends Wolfgang's back into the apron and he punches Wolfgang.  Conners with forearms to the back and then drops Wolfgang across the apron.  Conners with a slingshot splash for a near fall.  Conners kicks Wolfgang.  Conners with punches in the corner and the referee warns him.  Conners stretches Wolfgang against the ring post and then Conners with a drop kick to send Wolfgang into the ring post.

Wolfgang falls to the floor.  Wolfgang with a knee to the midsection but he misses a clothesline.  Conners with a uranage for a near fall.  Conners with a seated abdominal stretch.  Conners gets a near fall.  Wolfgang with Irish whips and a back body drop.  Wolfgang with a cross body into the corner and Wolfgang goes up top and hits a double sledge to the head and he gets a near fall.  Wolfgang thinks about going up top but he decides against it.  Conners with a kick and Wolfgang counters a splash off the turnbuckles with a Codebreaker and he gets a near fall.  Wolfgang goes up top but Conners rolls across the ring to the apron.

Conners with a slingshot DDT for a near fall.  Conners with punches to the midsection and Wolfgang with an elbow.  Wolfgang presses Conners over his head but Conners gets to his feet and Conners hits a power bomb for a near fall.  Conners goes to the turnbuckles and waits for Wolfgang to get up.  Wolfgang with a spear as Conners comes off the turnbuckles and Wolfgang hits a Swanton for the three count.

Winner:  Wolfgang

We go to commercial.

We are back and Mark Andrews and Tyler Bate are getting ready for their match later tonight for the UK Title.

Match Number Two:  Brian Kendrick and TJ Perkins versus Rich Swann and Dan Moloney

Kendrick and Moloney start things off.  Kendrick tries to attack Moloney from behind but Dan sensed it and turned around.  Kendrick with kicks but Moloney sends Kendrick into the corner.  Kendrick works on the arm in the ropes.  Perkins with a drop kick  Kendrick works on the arm and he has Moloney in a double underhook.  Perkins tags in and he kicks Moloney in the arm.  Perkins gets a near fall.  Perkins with an arm bar and Kendrick works on the arm driving it over his shoulder.  Kendrick tags in and he is going to give Perkins Moloney's arm but Perkins is looking away and he slams Kendrick's arm over his shoulder.  Perkins sees Moloney and Swann on the floor and he realizes his mistake.

Perkins and Kendrick argue but Moloney with punches and he sends Perkins into the turnbuckles.  Moloney with a boot from the apron and he gets a near fall.  Swann tags in and they hit a double atomic drop and mock Perkins.  They hit a double hip toss and Perkins falls to the floor.  Swann with an atomic drop to Kendrick and he goes to the floor.  Moloney assists Swann on a plancha to the floor.  Swann gets a near fall on Perkins.  Kendrick makes the tag and Swann is dropped on the top rope when Perkins sends Swann to Kendrick.

Kendrick kicks Swann.  Kendrick gets a near fall.  Kendrick sends Swann sternum first into the turnbuckles.  Swann punches Kendrick but Kendrick keeps Swann from making the tag.  Swann with a round kick to the head.  Moloney and Perkins tag in and Moloney with punches and kicks.  He sends Kendrick to Perkins and kicks Perkins to hit a DDT.  Moloney sends Perkins into the air and he lands chest first.  Kendrick hits Perkins when he tries to break up the cover.

Moloney with punches to Perkins and Kendrick grabs the leg.  Perkins with a jumping spin kick and he punches Moloney.  Perkins kicks Moloney.  Kendrick tags in and Moloney punches Kendrick but Kendrick with a drop toe hold.  Perkins tags in and he slams Moloney and hits a slingshot senton for a near fall.  Perkins with a rear chin lock and hammer lock using the leg.  Moloney with a belly-to-back suplex to escape.  Moloney back drops Kendrick and tags in Swann.  Swann with a clothesline and back heel kick followed by a flip leg drop to the back of the head for a near fall.  

Kendrick with a forearm to stop Swann on the turnbuckles.  Kendrick sets for a superplex but Swann with a reverse atomic drop off the turnbuckles for a near fall.  Moloney goes after Perkins in the ropes and goes to the floor.  Kendrick with the Captain's Hook to Swann and Moloney breaks it up and he tags in.  Moloney with punches and then he goes to the turnbuckles for more punches.  Perkins goes for the Detonation Kick but Moloney escapes.  Kendrick has Perkins hold him to stop Moloney and Kendrick with a rollup and handful of tights for the three count.

Winner:  Brian Kendrick and TJ Perkins

We go to commercial.

We see footage of Trent Seven's match against Wolfgang from the first night of the tour.  He was asked about his condition going into his number one contender match.  He says his arm is not good but there are no breaks.  He will not give up his match.

Pete Dunne stops by and Trent says he will see Pete tomorrow.  Pete grabs Trent's arm and slams it against the wall.

Jim and Nigel talk about how Trent's injury will affect things in the match tonight.  Nigel says Pete will continue to take advantage of the situation if he is not going to be punished for his actions.

We have a Pete Dunne video package.  He says he is where he should be and he is getting the credit he deserves.  After the tournament, he got the credit he deserved.  He is going around the world beating people up and getting paid to do it.  His mission is the UK title.  

We have a video package for Trent Seven.  He might look suave but put him in boots and trunks, he will beat you up.  You either come at him with everything you got or get out of the ring.  He has to win the UK title.  When he is successful against Pete Dunne, everything is incomplete without the UK Title.

Pete says he will win the title at NXT in Chicago.  It is his and everything is his.

Match Number Three:  Pete Dunne versus Trent Seven in a Number One Contender Match

Trent keeps his arm away from Dunne and he pushes Dunne into the corner.  Seven continues to only use his left arm and they lock up.  Seven with a clean break.  They have a single arm Greco Roman Knuckle Lock and Dunne with the advantage and Dunne goes after the injured arm.  Pete tries to work the fingers.  Seven escapes and goes into the ropes.  Trent with a chop but it is with his injured arm.  Seven with another chop.  Dunne with a boot as Seven charges into the corner. Seven with a clothesline and a reverse chin lock.  Dunne with a waist lock and Seven gets to the ropes.  Dunne hits Seven in the injured arm and then Dunne kicks the injured arm.

They go to the floor and Dunne with a forearm and he puts the injured arm in the steps and Dunne kicks the steps.  Dunne with a kick to Seven.  Dunne punches Seven while he has his knee on the injured elbow.  Dunne with his boot on the head and then he removes the bandage from the injured elbow.  Dunne rubs his elbow against the upper arm of Seven.  Dunne chops and punches the injured elbow and he applies a top wrist lock.  Seven gets to the ropes.

Dunne kicks Seven and then kicks in the head and gets a near fall.  Seven with a chop using the injured arm.  Seven thinks about another chop and instead he gives Dunne a DDT.  Seven with a suicide dive.  Dunne kicks Seven and then he stomps on the head.  Dunne sets for the Bitter End but Seven escapes and Dunne with a forearm.  Seven with a clothesline for a near fall.  

Dunne with a German suplex as Seven hits the ropes.  Seven with a power slam and he gets a near fall.  Dunne sends Seven into the ring post shoulder first and Dunne with a Saito suplex and a suplex throw.  Dunne sets for the kimura but Seven gets to the ropes.  Dunne Irish whips Seven into the ringside barrier and he hits the injured arm.  Dunne works on the fingers and then they go to the apron.  Dunne kicks Seven and then adds to the intensity of the kicks.  Seven kicks Dunne but Dunne with a kick and forearm.  Seven with a Dragon suplex on the apron.

The referee makes his count and they both get back into the ring at the same time.  Dunne goes up top and Seven stops him.  Seven climbs the turnbuckle as well.  Dunne with elbows to Seven and he elbows the injured arm.  Seven with a chop and Seven sets for a Dragon superplex but Dunne lands on his feet.  Dunne with a forearm and Seven with a back fist.  Dunne with an enzuigiri and Seven with a clothesline for a near fall.  

Seven sets for the Seven Star Lariat but Dunne applies a Kimura and body scissors.  Seven does not tap out and he gets out of the hold.  Seven with a Dragon suplex and he hits a back fist.  Dunne hits the Bitter End for the three count.

Winner:  Pete Dunne

After the match, Dunne takes the mic and he says that he said that people will get hurt.  At Takeover Chicago, he takes what is rightfully his . . . by any means necessary.

We go to commercial.

We have a video package for the main event.  

Tyler Bate says being the first UK champion, he has more pressure than he expected but he welcomes the pressure.  He will keep the title.

Mark Andrews says he wanted to show the world he was the best in the UK at the tournament.  He came close.  Tonight, it is the most important match of his career.

Tyler says he has known Mark for years and they have to put their friendship aside.  Mark says he will take advantage of Tyler's inexperience.  Tyler says you have to expect everything from Mark and he is ready.  Mark says the sky is the limit and he wants to get to the sky.  Tyler says he will show why the title is on his shoulder now.

Match Number Four:  Tyler Bate versus Mark Andrews for the UK Championship

Tyler offers his hand and Mark reciprocates.  Andrews with a rollup for a near fall.  Bate with a wrist lock and he takes Andrews to the mat.  Mark with a reversal and he takes Tyler to the mat.  Mark with a wrist lock but Tyler with a reversal and a side head lock take down.  Andrews with a head scissors and Bate escapes.  Bate with a single leg take down and he starts to work on the ankle.  Tyler holds on to a wrist lock and he works on the arm.  Bate with a hammer lock and Andrews escapes and takes Bate down with a fireman's carry.  Andrews with a front face lock.

Bate picks up Andrews and places him on the turnbuckles.  They shake hands while Andrews is on the turnbuckles.  Bate with a waist lock and he applies a full nelson.  Andrews drops down but Bate reapplies the full nelson.  Andrews drops down and Bate reapplies a full nelson.  Andrews tries another way to escape and it succeeds.  Andrews with a hammer lock and Bate tries to escape.  Bate with a drop toe hold.  Bate drops back while he has the legs in a figure four.  Bate tries for a surfboard and Andrews tries to fight out of the hold.  Andrews gets to the ropes.

Bate with a snap mare and Andrews lands on his feet.  Andrews tries to take Bate down but Bate with a cartwheel.  Andrews with a head scissors.  Andrews with a cartwheel out of a head scissors.  They both go for drop kicks at the same time and they both kip up.  They both have some words for each other.  Andrews pushes Bate and Bate pushes back.  Bate goes for a sunset flip but Andrews flips out of it and hits a drop kick for a near fall.  Andrews with an arm bar.  Andrews with a snap mare and leg drop to the arm for a near fall.  Andrews tries for an octopus and he locks it in.  

Bate gets close to the ropes but Andrews with a sunset flip for a near fall.  Bate with an elbow and he gets a near fall.  Bate with a slam and senton for a near fall.  Bate with a reverse Boston Crab into a rocking chair.  Bate with a rollup for a near fall.  Bate with a European uppercut and he connects with more.  Andrews pushes Bate away and Bate kicks Andrews in the back of the leg.  Bate sends Andrews into the turnbuckles and then he hits a running back elbow.  Andrews gets a boot up and hits an enzuigiri.  Andrews with a running head scissors and he sends Bate to the floor.

Andrews with a flip dive onto Bate.  They return to the ring and Andrews with a rollup and double stomp to Bate.  Andrews with knees in the corner followed by a Northern Lights suplex but he takes too long for the moonsault and Bate with a rollup.  Andrews misses an enzuigiri but he does not miss with a standing moonsault and he gets a near fall.  Bate holds on to the ropes to avoid an Irish whip.  Andrews goes to the floor and Bate with a suicide dive.  Bate sets for the Tyler Driver 97 but Andrews with a jackknife cover.  Bate sets for another Tyler Driver but Andrews blocks it and Andrews with a flip rana for a near fall.

Andrews is sent to the apron and he goes for a slingshot move but Bate with a European uppercut.  Bate goes to the apron and Andrews with an enzuigiri.  Andrews with a shiranui on the apron.  Andrews goes to the apron and tries for a moonsault but Bate catches Andrews.  Andrews hits a DDT on the floor.  Andrews struggles to get Bate back into the ring.  Andrews gets a near fall.  Bate grabs the ankle to stop Andrews from going up top.  Bate with a running European uppercut.  Andrews with an enzuigiri to Bate when Tyler goes to the turnbuckles.

They fight on top and Andrews sets for a Frankensteiner but Bate drops Andrews on the top rope.  Bate with a flying European uppercut and he gets a near fall.  Bate with a European uppercut and forearm.  Bate with more forearms.  They go back and forth and Bate with a jab that drops Andrews.  Andrews with a kick to the midsection and he goes for a rollnig move but Bate with a European uppercut.  Bate with an airplane spin.  Bate starts to go down but he tries for the other direction but Andrews counters with a reverse rana for a near fall.

Andrews goes up top and Bate with an enzuigiri to stop Andrews.  Bate climbs the turnbuckles and gets Andrews on his shoulders.  Andrews counters with a Frankensteiner and he hits a shooting star press for a near fall.  Andrews tries to pick up Bate and Bate with a thruist kick followed by a springboard clothesline.  Tyler goes for a suplex but Andrews counters with a stunner.  Andrews goes to the apron and he goes up top.  Andrews lands on Bate's knees on the shooting star press.  Andrews crawls across the ring and Bate with a Liger Kick and Tyler Driver 97 for the three count.

Winner:  Tyler Bate

Mark Andrews is helped to the back and Pete Dunne appears on the ramp and he attacks Andrews.

WIlliam Regal comes out and he points his finger at Dunne.

Regal enters the ring and so does Dunne.

Dunne looks at the title belt and he offers his hand but Bate refuses.
