WWE NXT REPORT: WAS THERE A DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, A UK TITLE MATCH NEXT WEEK, WHO IS NEXT FOR ANDRADE ALMAS, AND MORE

By Richard Trionfo on 2017-04-19 23:11:00

We are in Winter Park, Florida and your announcers are Tom Phillips, Nigel McGuinness, and Percy Watson.

Bobby Roode makes his way to the ring and he has something to say.

Bobby says for the second year in a row, Bobby Roode made Wrestlemania week simply glorious.  He single handedly sold out the Amway Center.  Fifteen Thousand people filled to the rafters because of him.  On that night, he gave those 15,000 people the treat of a lifetime.  He allowed them to sit there and bear witness to the biggest superstar in the business today.

He snuffed out the last flickering star from the old NXT.  He proved that the fate and the future of this brand is in his control.  The transformation of Bobby Roode’s NXT and his glorious era was finally complete.

That was up until last week when he had to sit at home and watch Shinsuke Nakamura walk down that aisle and get into his ring.  Then one by one, NXT superstar after superstar came out to pay homage to Nakamura.  You sang along and chanted his name.  Bobby calls it pathetic.

Bobby says you saw everyone on that stage, but you did not see him.  The champion was not there.  You want to know why he didn’t stand there like a moron?  He didn’t want to hear the crap coming out of Nakamura’s mouth. He did not want to hear the lies coming out of Nakamura.

He beat Shinsuke for the second time to retain his championship.  He beat and embarrassed Nakamura so badly that he had to leave NXT.   Bobby says it made him sick to hear the people chant for Nakamura.

Bobby says none of you in this arena deserve to be in his NXT.  None of the people standing on the stage last week deserve to be in or belong in his NXT.  From this moment on, you have two choices.  You can choose to jump aboard Bobby Roode’s NXT or you can hit the bricks just like Shinsuke Nakamura.

Hideo Itami’s music interrupts and he makes his way to the ring.

Hideo and Bobby stand face to face and Itami slaps Roode in the face.

Roode smiles and he reminds Itami that he is the champion.  Roode puts down his title belt and he removes his jacket.  Roode asks if you want to slap the champ.   Itami gets Roode up and hits Go To Sleep on Roode.

Itami picks up the title belt and then lays it down in the ring before he leaves.

We go to the back for Tyler Bate and Jack Gallagher who will be wrestling next week for the UK Title.  They shake hands and Jack talks about how impressed he is with Tyler.  Tyler says he has been impressed with Jack on 205 Live.  They both say they are looking forward to wrestling next week.  Tyler says he is looking forward to successfully defending his title next week.  Jack says potentially and then they shake hands again.
