TRIPLE H FACES THE MEDIA TODAY, CENA REALITY SERIES RETURNING, NXT BOOK RELEASED NEXT MONTH AND MORE WWE NEWS

By Mike Johnson on 2017-03-23 10:06:00

I want to again extend our deepest condolences to Jim Ross on the passing of his wife Jan.   No one deserves to deal with the tragedy that the Ross family has to deal with this week and we wish them strength and peace.  Again, our deepest condolences.

Triple H will be doing a media conference call today to promote WWE NXT: Takeover Orlando.  We'll have complete coverage.

Speaking of HHH, our friends at RingsideCollectibles.com announced the following:

John Cena announced that the second season of American Grit, the FOX reality series he hosts and produces, will debut on 6/11.  The first season featured three military experts leading teams through different military exercises. The losing teams would then have to send a representative into competition in "The Circus" which was an obstacle course that ended with a different, harsh endurance test at the end.  I thought the first season was actually very good and there was a lot of very real human drama involved.  I am looking forward to the second season.

WWE Hall of Famer Mr. T made his debut on ABC's Dancing with the Stars this past Monday, doing a dance set to The A-Team theme.  I loved the hell out of it, as T has always been one of my all time favorite celebrity personalities.  The judges lauded him for his effort but noted he made a lot of mistakes.  He got 20 points out of a potential 40 points.

WWE will release their next book NXT; The Future Is Now on 4/11.  Written by Jon Robinson, the book is a good overview into the creation of the NXT brand as well as Triple H's overhaul of the WWE developmental system and the Performance Center.

Big Show was on Conan last night on TBS and came off very well and funny, including whipping out a Vince McMahon impression.  He credited The Rock and Batista for opening the doors for Hollywood for professional wrestlers as well.  It was a fun appearance to help push Wrestlemania 33.  We'll have a complete report shortly.

John Cena was on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon last night as well:
