TNA TAPING IMPACT TOMORROW, TALENT CHANGEOVER, WHO'S LOCKED INTO DEALS, NEW PPV DEBUTING THIS WEEK AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2017-03-01 11:30:00

TNA will hold their first TV tapings for Impact Wrestling since the Jeff Jarrett regime began starting tomorrow 3/2 and taping through 3/5 at Universal Studios Orlando.  At the rate talent is turning over, it's going to be an entirely new company it seems.  If anyone is attending any of the tapings, we are seeking spoiler reports.  I would expect at least a few new or returning names at the tapings, but haven't confirmed any.

Cody Rhodes is only slated for the 3/2 taping, where it was announced he would be wrestling Moose.

There are a number of talents who have been approached about locking themselves into new contracts over the last week, so if they don't come to terms, there could be additional departures in the days ahead.   The company is seeking to lock in talents that are going to commit to them and if talents, for whatever reason, don't wish to do that, the mentality seems to be that there are lots of others out there who would want the opportunity.  Obviously, Jeff Jarrett has a nice rolodex (do those even exist anymore?) of talents he worked with under the Global Force Wrestling banner that he can call upon if needed.

Bobby Lashley, Moose, Eli Drake, Davey Richards, Eddie Edwards and EC3 were all already locked in to contracts before the ownership change we are told, so they will be part of future creative plans.

There are rumblings that some sort of announcement regarding the UK is coming later this week.

The latest TNA Legends PPV debuts today on the Fite App.  Titled "World Title Matches 2", promotional material notes: "They are among the greatest Word Heavyweight Championship matches who have thrilled and amazed audiences with their epic battles. Relive the glory as Austin Aries battled Bobby Roode at Destination X 2012, plus Magnus squared off against Eric Young and Kurt Angle and Bobby Lashley clashed in the ring."  The show is priced at $4.99.
