We are back with a look at what Cody did at Final Battle and his confrontation with Steve Corino.

Cody takes a mic and he says he thinks they got off on the wrong foot.  At Final Battle, you were under the impression that you were thinking that you were going to judge him.  Nobody judges him.  He is here to judge each and every one of you.  Walking out in the ballroom, there was this foul, putrid, obnoxious smell and it was under his nose.  He did not know what it was until this very second.  It was mediocrity.  Ring of Honor his ass.  It was more like Ring of Mediocrity.

Cody tells Kevin to tell everyone he wrestled in Japan so they will cheer.  For him being here, this is contractually obligated. . .

A fans inquires about the whereabouts of his wife and Cody asks for security to remove the person who made the inquiry.  Cody asks if you want to see Brandi, but he tells them they don’t deserve to see her.

It must be so good to have a star who has not faded in this arena.

The lights go out and Steve Corino makes his way to the ring and he is in his ring gear.  He is joined by Kevin Sullivan, Punishment Martinez, and BJ Whitmer on the stage.

Cody prevents Steve from talking and he says Steve is taller than he thought he would be.  King of Old School?  Where is your crown?  Cody asks if you remember what you told Dusty Rhodes in 1999?  You said you had no respect for him and never did and you told him to look in your eyes.

Cody says it is apropos that he gets to say I had no respect for you, I never did, and to look in his eyes.

Steve says he loved Cody’s dad.  Dusty was his hero.  The American Dream paved the road for Steve Corino to be in this ring on this moment.  Steve says his father once said Genghis Khan has two sons and one of them needs to be sacrificed.  He is going to give Cody a choice, it is either you or your brother.

Cody slaps Steve and Steve with an elbow to Cody.  Corino slams Cody and we go to commercial.

We are back and Jay Lethal is in the ring.

Jay says it has to burn you up inside that he did not come to Cody’s doorstep or his home turf to show that he’s got it.  You came to his home.  You came to Ring of Honor because you know Ring of Honor has the best wrestlers in the world.  This is where you see where you measure up in the business.  You can test yourself, and it is a test that you have failed.  You took the easy road out at Final Battle.  You proved you are smoke and mirrors and that you don’t belong here.
