MICK FOLEY WRESTLING AGAIN, WHAT TALENTS DO AT TV WHEN THEY AREN’T USED, WHAT IT TAKES TO GET AHEAD IN WWE AND MORE

Since Mick Foley has lost so much weight (Good for him), is there a chance that we might see him return to the ring?  I ask because the way he, Sammy Zayn, and Braun Strowman have been circling each other has my interest piqued.  Obviously a match with either one of the young guys would be meant to give them a rub. It seemed like they were teasing a turn for Zayn the way he was calling out Mick a few weeks ago.

He’s 51 years old with a history of being in serious pain from taking all of the abuse that he did over his career.  I don’t see any universe where him wrestling again is a good idea.  For one thing, his body doesn’t need the punishment.  For another, if he were to wrestle he would be limited, which would mean a young guy would probably have to be fed to him.  I don’t like either prospect.

Cesaro. He's my favorite wrestler, never disappoints. That triple threat on Raw just showed again how good he is! But OMG, what does this man have to do to get to the main event?

He has to get the guy at the top of the company to get behind him and give him the big push.  It’s that simple.

In late 2012 and early 2013 there was arguably no one more over on the WWE roster than Ryback. What was the reason the WWE never capitalized on that and instead kept having him lose and squashing his momentum? I mean they did the same thing to him again in 2014 when he got hot again after turning back to babyface. It has always left me scratching my head trying to figure out what I missed with all of that as I feel they had a legitimate star on their hands if pushed right.

Injuries were definitely part of it.  He got hurt at a few inopportune times.  Much like Cesaro, in the end it comes down to Vince McMahon getting behind a guy and giving him the top tier push.  That is what it takes.

What do lower roster talents on Smackdown Live do when they are not used on television?  I realize that they used to work main event, but now that has gone to Monday nights, what are they possibly doing?  Take Jack Swagger. He jumped from Raw, said this is a new Jack Swagger, used his outdated catchphrase, wrestled Baron Corbin a few times and disappeared.  Is he really just sat backstage every week?

Yep, they come to the shows and are there if Creative decides to use them.

Now that guys like Samoa Joe, AJ Styles etc. are being allowed to use the same ring names in WWE that they used prior to signing, what do guys like Seth Rollins or Cesaro think about how they were forced to change their ring names?  Do they fully embrace their new ring names, or do you think they wish they were able to keep their former names?

They understand what the situation is.  They used different names before they came to WWE but the fact of the matter is that the WWE Machine makes their new names more widely known.  So, they go with what WWE calls them.
