WWE NXT REPORT: JOE VERSUS NAKAMURA FROM JAPAN, A NUMBER ONE CONTENDER TOURNAMENT IS ANNOUNCED, A BIG DEBUT, SANITY IS MISSING A MEMBER, AND MORE

We are in Winter Park, Florida and your announcers are Tom Phillips, Corey Graves, and Percy Watson.

The new NXT Tag Team Champions Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano make their way to the ring.

They go through the crowd to celebrate with the fans.

Before they can speak, they are interrupted by the music for the Authors of Pain, accompanied by Paul Ellering.

Paul says the prophecy of the Authors of Pain has come true.  They are undefeated.  They are the winners of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.  They think your celebration is a bit premature.  As far as your reign goes . . . 

The Revival interrupt and make their way onto the stage too.

Scott and Dash stand between the two teams.  Dash says as far as they are concerned there is only room for one team that can contend for the titles and that is the Revival.  Scott says the only reason they could advance was because of the Top Guys.  

Akam and Rezar walk down the ramp and Scott wants them to take it easy.

Akam and Rezar push Scott and Dash down.  

Paul says the next chapter will be written by the Authors of Pain and it will say Tag Team Champions.

Tom and Corey talk about the evolution in NXT and Corey talks about them needing to evolve.  

We see a video package for Percy Watson.  Percy says he is the biggest entertainer of them all.  He says it is always Showtime.  

Tom introduces the newest announcer for NXT, Percy Watson.  Percy says it is an honor to be here.

Match Number One:  No Way Jose and Rich Swann versus Eric Young and Alexander Wolfe (with Nikki Cross and Sawyer Fulton's jacket)

Before the match, Young stomps on Fulton's jacket and throws it up the ramp.

Wolfe and Jose start things off and Wolfe with punches but Jose with punches and a flapjack.  Swann tags in and he hits an assisted rana.  Wolfe goes to the floor and Cross slaps some sense into him.  Swann with a drop toe hold to Wolfe.  Swann with chops.  Swann goes for a head scissors but Wolfe holds on and tags in Young.  Young kicks Swann while Wolfe holds him upside down.  Young sends Swann to the floor.  Young with a boot off the apron as we go to commercial.

We are back and Young with a hard Irish whip to Swann and he gets a near fall.  Young chokes Swann in the corner and the referee warns him.  Swann with a drop kick but Young keeps Swann from making the tag and Young with an elbow drop to the back.  Young with a punch and then he hits an elevated Dragon Sleeper.  Young with a forearm to the back and he gets a near fall.  Wolfe tags in and kicks Swann and chokes him in the corner.  Wolfe does some dancing and then he kicks Swann in the corner.  Swann with punches and Wolfe tries for a slam but Swann escapes.  Wolfe sends Swann to the mat and gets a near fall.  Wolfe with a wrist lock and nerve hold.  

Swann with a kick and both men go for clotheslines at the same time and both go down.  Young and Jose tag in and Jose with a chop to Young and a forearm to Wolfe on the apron.  Jose with a hip toss into a neck breaker followed by the running palm thrust.  Jose with a TKO and he gets a near fall when Wolfe breaks up the cover.  Swann leap frogs Wolfe and Wolfe goes to the floor.  Swann with a corkscrew seated senton off the turnbuckles.

Young sends Jose to the floor and Young comes off the apron but Jose with a punch.  Wolfe sends Swann into the ring steps.

Damo hits Jose from behind.  Wolfe sends Jose into the ring and Young with a wheelbarrow neck breaker for the three count.

Winners:  Eric Young and Alexander Wolfe

After the match, Damo picks up Fulton's jacket on the ramp and throws it down before walking to the back.

William Regal is in his office and he says the Revival will get their rematch on January 11th and the winner will face The Authors of Pain in San Antonio.

Tye Dillinger enters and he talks about losing to Samoa Joe.

William Regal says next week he will have a tournament with the winners of the four matches meeting in an elimination match to determine who faces the champion.  Regal says he would like to have Tye in the tournament and he asks if he has anything to say to him.

Tye says he is fine and he leaves.

William Regal picks up some brass knuckles.

We go to commercial.

We are back with a look at Damo attacking No Way Jose.

They try to interview Sanity about what happened and they walk away.

Nikki Cross sees the title belt and then Asuka picks it up and we have a stare down.  Both women smile as Nikki walks away.

Match Number Two:  Ember Moon versus Kimber Lee

Kimber wants a test of strength and Ember obliges.  They both go for the leverage advantage and Moon is sent to the mat.  Moon with a monkey flip followed by a back heel kick and a front kick.  Lee with a side slam for a near fall.  Lee with a Lotus Lock but Moon leans back and gets a near fall.  Lee with a near fall.  Lee and Moon with forearms.  Moon with a chop.  Lee goes for a power bomb but Moon counters into a rana.  Moon with a back elbow and side head lock take down but Lee with a head scissors and forearm to the back.  Lee with a knee to the head for a near fall.

Moon wtih a rollup after avoiding a round kick.  Moon with a drop kick but Moon cannot take advantage of the situation.  Moon with a handspring clothesline into the corner.  Moon goes up top for Total Eclipse and the three count.

Winner:  Ember Moon

The four matches in the tournament are Tye Dillinger versus Eric Young, Elias Samson versus Roderick Strong, Andrade Almas versus No Way Jose, and Oney Lorcan versus Bobby Roode.

We go to commercial.

Match Number Three: Samoa Joe versus Shinsuke Nakamura for the NXT Championship (From Osaka, Japan)

Joe with a kick to the leg but Nakamura blocks it.  Nakamura with a kick and punch but Joe with jabs.  Nakamura with a kick.  Joe with a kick to the leg.  Joe backs Nakamura into the ropes and they lock up.  Nakamura and Joe exchange the advantage against the ropes and Nakamura with a clean break and he leans against Joe's chest but Joe pushes him away.  Nakamura with a kick and knees.  Nakamura with rapid boots in the corner.  Nakamura kicks Joe and Joe goes to the floor.  

Joe rakes the eyes when the referee is out of position.  

We go to commercial.

We are back and Joe with an STF.  Joe with a crossface.  Nakamura gets to the ropes and Joe releases the hold.  Joe goes for a suplex and Nakamura blocks it.  Nakamura lands on his feet and he goes for a cross arm breaker but Joe clasps his hands to prevent Nakamura from applying the hold.  Joe with a rollup.  Nakamura with a Triangle but Joe with forearms.  Joe has his foot on the rope and Nakamura releases the hold.  

Nakamura goes for the reverse exploder but Joe blocks it.  Nakamura with a German suplex.  Nakamura sets for Kinshasa but Joe with a power slam for a near fall.  Joe with a chop in the corner.  Joe sets for the muscle buster and Nakamura lands on his feet and he misses Kinshasa.  Joe with the Kokina Clutch on Nakamura.  Nakamura goes for the ropes but Joe with a German suplex.  Nakamura drops down but Joe holds on and hits another German suplex.  Joe goes for a wrist clutch German and he hits it but Nakamura kicks out.

Joe puts Nakamura on the turnbuckles but Nakamura fights Joe off.  Joe with an enzuigiri to knock Nakamura off the turnbuckles and to the floor.  Joe sets for a uranage on the steps but Nakamura blocks it and he connects with a series of elbows.  Nakamura with Kinshasa to the back of the head and Joe lands face first on the ring steps.  Nakamura rolls Joe back into the ring.  Joe with a kick to the leg and forearm but Nakamura with forearms.  Nakamura with a kick but he misses a round kick.  Nakamura with an axe kick to the back followed by a knee to the temple.  

Nakamura gets Joe up but he cannot keep Joe up and Nakamura falls down to the mat and Joe goes to the floor.  Joe goes back into the ring and Nakamura goes up top and hits a knee to the back.  Nakamura sets for and hits Kinshasa and the three count.

Winner:  Shinsuke Nakamura

Charly Caruso announces that Nakamura will face Joe in Melbourne for the NXT Title inside a steel cage.
