It’s time for the TLC. Thanks for joining us. We are opening up with Rhyno and Heath Slater defending the Tag Team Titles against Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton. The challengers are out first. Lots of lights in the arena. JBL is selling the entrance is more scary than ever. He sold that the Wyatts have gone to the next level with Randy in the group. Is there any chance for the Champs? It sure seems like this will be a Title change. Once they got to the ring and the lights went on, the Family got a pop.
The Champs were out next. Do they have a chance?
We have the four man team tonight, Mauro Ranallo, JBL, David Otunga and Tom Phillips.
Bray and Rhyno are opening up but Bray quickly tagged in Randy, who got a big pop. If their goal is to get Bray over by pairing him with Randy, it could work. Heath tagged in and went to work on Randy but it didn't last long due to Bray taking him out. They worked over Slater as he tried to tag his partner. After a few minutes of taking abuse, Rhyno made the tag and came in strong on Bray.
Randy saved Bray in the ring so they went to the floor where Luke Harper saved Randy and took the Rhyno spear. Back in the ring, Randy hit the RKO on Rhyno and got the pin. New Tag Team Champions.
Basically, the former champions were squashed. Rhyno got a little in, Heath not so much. The former champs feel good reign is over. We shall see where it goes from here.
After the match, they put the Titles belts on Harper to hold. They posed for the crowd and got a pop.
Dean Ambrose did a promo on AJ Styles in the back. He talked about how hard a TLC match is and he likes it because he lives hard and makes his life as difficult as possible. He referenced his good friend who talked about "Hard Times". Dusty's line got a pop.
AJ Styles then did a promo talking about what he would do to Ambrose later tonight. Dean will take a beating and get up to see him holding his WWE Title when he wins. AJ got more cheers than boos.
Nikki Bella vs. Carmella is next. Nikki came out first and got a nice pop. She has her hair braided so she means business.
Nikki did power moves on the floor but Carmella turned it into a head scissors and Nikki went flying into the steps. Carmella took control. Nikki is selling her leg from the steps shot. Carmella went to work on it. She put Nilli in the tree of woe and grabbed a cane. She mocked John Cena and beat the hurt leg with the cane. Nikki kept trying to fight back. Carmella locked on the Code Of Silence but Nikki hit her with the cane to break it.
Nikki went to the floor and tried to use the cane but they traded spots until Nikki did a kick off of the barricade. Back in the ring she used the cane on Carmella until she used the cane on her injured leg. She threw Nikki to the floor but when she went to get her Nikki sprayed her with a fire extinguisher her. A lot. Like used the whole can lot. She then hit the Rack Attack and got the win.
They worked hard and had a solid match. But honestly, I felt Carmella had zero chance to win, for obvious reasons. She attacked Nikki's leg, had her in trouble and yet even that wasn't enough to kill the Rack Attack.
Carmella took the mic afterward and said she wasn't the one who attacked her at Survivor Series. The crowd whatted her. She said it was actually her little friend from Total Divas, Natalya. So we got a Total Divas storyline.
Good Lord, after they just made Natty a heel on the PPV, they did a commercial where she is a babyface helping a guy get engaged for a Kay Jewelers ad. Wow, they sure didn't format that well.
Back from the ad, JBL is shocked that Natty could be a heel. You know, because she has never been a heel before, or even recently.
Dolph Ziggler vs. The Miz for the IC Title in a ladder match is next.
Before the match, Daniel Bryan was asked if he wants to see Miz lose. He said yes, but not for the reason you think. Ziggler has worked hard and is a good worker. He said that Miz did bring star power. So Miz came in and said he wished he could throw Bryan off of the ladder instead of Ziggler, but he can watch the match and see him do it to Ziggler instead.
Dolph came out first, to a good pop. Miz and Maryse came out next. He came to play. This should be good.
They went to the floor and abused each other from the start. The crowd is more for Ziggler but it seems like some are for Miz.
Miz got back in the ring and Ziggler tried to follow with the ladder, but Miz dropkicked it into his chest and laid him out. Miz followed out and Zig used the ladded to drive the champ into the post.
Zig went for the Fameasser on the floor, Miz countered but Zig still put him into the ladder. Zig got a tall ladder and put it in the ring. Miz came in the ring and dropkicked him into it before he could use it.
They are working hard but the crowd is either not overly animated or badly mic'd.
Ziggler did a nice elbow drop off of the ladder, which was on the second ropes, on Miz.
Zig set up a ladder after ramming Miz into the other ladder, but Miz stopped him from getting the Title. Ziggler hit a big clothesline on him and tossed Miz out of the ring. Zig went up the ladder. Grabbed the belt but Miz came back in and topped the ladder. Some fans were chanting for Miz.
Miz blasted Zig with the ladder and mocked Danie Bryan before doing a couple of dropkicks on the ladder into Zig. He tried a third and Zig and pushed ladder into Miz's face. They had dueling chants for both guys, with Zig's being louder.
