GOLDBERG'S RING RUST, ACH-ROH, IS DIXIE THE VICTIM AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2016-11-03 10:00:00

I am very interested in the ACH story.   You noted he was leaving at the end of the year.  Is his ROH deal up or is he being released?

ACH's current ROH deal ends at the end of December.

I just watched the Goldberg segment on Raw. Goldberg looked pretty sloppy doing the spear and the Jackhammer imo. Do you actually think he will physically be able to deliver a solid 20min match with Brock Lesnar?

Goldberg himself admitted he had ring rust.  He has three weeks or so to prepare.  I hope for his sake, he is ready.  I don't want to see him get hurt and one of the things he has long talked about is not wanting to come back and be a shell of how he was once seen.

I've been reading about the whole TNA lawsuit, and to me it comes across as if Billy Corgan is strong-arming Dixie Carter. From what I've read, Corgan lended money to TNA, and one of the reasons he is suing is to obviously get paid back (plus interest). He also claims emotional distress. Now if the other party (Anthem) is willing to repay Corgan, that would solve Corgan's problems. But rather than take it and be done with it, it's showing his real motive of wanting to gain majority control of the company and drive Carter out. That's fine, but he's painting the wrong picture to the wrestling community by saying that Carter is bad for the TNA brand (making the company insolvent). Whether that's true or not, it shouldn't be his call to make if he really just want's his money back. So do you see Carter as a victim here?

I don't see Carter as the victim here.  She made the decision to enter into her agreement with Carter.  Whether the court feels it was enforceable or not, at the end of the day, no one made her sign those terms.  She knew what she was getting into with Corgan, not once, but three times.

So, TNA lost its UK deal?  How bad does this leave them off?

India TV is the number one revenue maker for the company.  The UK deal was second or third.  It's not like they lost the heart of the company but it's certainly as if they had an extremity cut off.  This is a deal they will need to replace as soon as possible.

There was talk awhile ago of ROH expanding to two hours.  Any chance of that happening anytime soon?

Unless ROH ends up on a national cable outlet, I don't see it.
