WWE NXT REPORT: DUSTY CLASSIC CONTINUES, ASUKA HAS HER TAKEOVER OPPONENT REVEALED, SOME POST MATCH AGGRESSION FROM THE WRESTLERS. AND MORE

We are in Winter Park, Florida and your announcers are Corey Graves and Tom Phillips.

Match Number One:  Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa versus Tian Bing and HoHo Lun in a Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic First Round Match

Bing and Ciampa start things off.  They lock up and Ciampa with a side head lock.  Ciampa goes for a shoulder tackle but Bing stays on his feet.  Bing with a shoulder tackle and he holds on to the ropes on a leap frog attempt.  Bing with a kick to the chest and he sends Ciampa into the corner.  Lun tags in and they hit a double back elbow.  Lun gets a near fall.  Lun with a wrist lock.  Ciampa with a forearm that staggers Lun. 

Gargano tags in and he is sent into the corner but Lun moves.  Gargano with a rollup and round kick followed by a neck breaker by Ciampa.  Gargano gets a near fall.  Gargano with a running chop.  Gargano with an Irish whip and Lun floats over but Gargano with a forearm.  Lun with a kick and drop kick.  Bing tags in and he connects with a knee and then Lun with a knee.  Bing with a round kick and Lun with a missile drop kick for a near fall.  Bing with a slap and reverse chin lock.  Gargano with punches but Bing with kicks.

Bing misses a round kick and Gargano with an enzuigiri.  Ciampa and Lun tag in and Ciampa with forearms.  Lun has a kick blocked and Ciampa with a chop and forearm.  Ciampa sets for Project Ciampa but Lun with punches.  Gargano tags in and hits a slingshot spear and then Ciampa and Gargano with the super kick and knee combination for the three count.

Winners:  Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa (Advance to face Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder in the second round)

Tom Phillips talks about Hideo Itami’s injury and we see TJ Perkins and Kota Ibushi.  They are asked about why they are working as a team.  Kota says it is respect.  TJ says he jumped at the chance to be on the same team as Ibushi.  TJ mentions their match in the Cruiserweight Classic.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Samoa Joe is in the back and he is asked about what happened last week.

Joe says he was not going to attack Nakamura.  He was walking out there to make sure that what he does has an effect.  He is here to even the odds.  Shinsuke injured his jaw so he injured his shoulder.  Nakamura is not a confident man any more.  He is looking over his back and he knows that any time, Joe can go out there and take him out for a long time.  Nakamura is a scared champion.  He says you are looking at the next NXT Champion.

Match Number Two:  Aliyah versus Billie Kay (with Peyton Royce)

Billie goes after Aliyah as the bell rings and she connects with forearms.  Aliyah with a jaw breaker but Billie drops Aliyah on the top rope and drops her to the mat.  Billie gets a near fall.  Billie with a forearm to the back.  Aliyah with forearms followed by a snap mare and then she hits a blockbuster and kips up.

Aliyah with a running kick into the corner.  Aliyah slides on an Irish whip and hits an enzuigiri.  Billie with a forearm.

Liv Morgan attacks Peyton at ringside and Aliyah with a rollup for the three count.

Winner:  Aliyah

After the match, Liv goes into the ring and attacks Billie and punches her.  Peyton with punches to Liv and Billie joins in with punches and kicks.  Aliyah pulls Peyton off while Billie and Liv continue to battle.  Peyton with a knee to Aliyah and then Billie holds Aliyah for a running boot from Peyton.  Peyton sends Liv face first onto Billie’s knee.

We go to commercial.

Match Number Three:  Noah Potjes versus Tye Dillinger

They lock up and Noah with a wrist lock.  Tye with a reversal into a snap mare and cartwheel.  Noah has a kick blocked and Tye sends Noah to the mat.  Noah with a punch and he sends Tye into the turnbuckles and kicks Tye.  Noah with kicks and punches.  Tye with chops and punches.  Tye sends Noah to the mat and kicks Noah.  Tye with kicks in the corner.  Tye pulls down the knee pad and he hits the Tye Breaker for the three count.

Winner:  Tye Dillinger

Mike Rome asks Tye about his match against Bobby Roode.  Tye says Bobby calls himself glorious but all he has done is run.  Tye says at Takeover . . .

Bobby Roode attacks Tye from behind and then he kicks Tye in the ribs.  Roode punches Dillinger.  Roode with a GLORIOUS DDT. 

Bobby tells Tye if he wants him, he’s got him.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Nick Miller and Shane Thorne are asked about facing Roderick Strong and Austin Aries.  Nick says that they were a great team, but him and Shane are a great team now.  This is the most important match for them.  Shane says it is more about being a team or a cohesive unit.  They fight with one mind.  They do things before the other knows what is going to happen.  Nick says they are the team to win this and they are the Mighty and they do not kneel.

Match Number Four:  Asuka versus Thea Trinidad in a Non Title Match

They lock up and Asuka blocks a kick and connects with some kicks of her own.  Asuka avoids a clothesline and she gyrates in the ring.  Asuka with a flying hip attack.  Asuka says something to Thea and Thea with forearms.  Asuka has had enough and she punches Thea.  Asuka with a running knee to the head but Thea gets her feet up when Asuka goes into the corner.  Asuka blocks a kick and she applies an ankle lock.  Asuka hits a German suplex into the Fujiwara arm bar and Trinidad taps out.

Winner:  Asuka

After the match, William Regal’s music plays and he makes his way to the stage.  He congratulates Asuka on her victory and dominance over the Women’s Division.  William says she has found an opponent and it is this lady.

The person on the Tron says it has been a long time since she has been in a WWE ring.  She turns around and it is Mickie James.  She says that Asuka has beaten a lot of people but until you beat her, you have beaten no one.  She is coming at Takeover for the NXT Champions.  She tells William Regal to get the UN on the phone because it is going to be an international incident.

Paul Ellering tells the Authors of Pain that this is their house.  He is interrupted and asked about the progress of the Authors of Pain.  Paul says he had a vision and the puzzle is complete.  He has a plan and strategy and they are going to execute it.  Paul tells Mr. Jose and Mr. Swann they have a future ahead of them in NXT, but they will not advance in the Dusty Rhodes Classic at the expense of the Authors.  He tells them to speak and they speak in their native language.

We go to commercial.

Match Number Five:  TJ Perkins and Kota Ibushi versus Lince Dorado and Mustafa Ali in a First Round Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Match

Dorado and Perkins start things off and Perkins with a hammer lock.  Dorado with a flying mare and Perkins flips over Dorado.  Dorado flips over Perkins and Perkins with an arm drag into a crucifix.  Lince gets a near fall.  Dorado with a wrist lock and Perkins with a reversal.  Dorado goes for a reversal and Perkins gets a near fall.

Both men do handsprings at the same time and they shake hands.  Ali and Ibushi tag in.  They go for a test of strength and Ibushi with a leg sweep and he gets a few near falls.  Ali with a bridge and Ibushi puts his body weight on Ali to get him to the mat.  Ali with a springboard escape and Ali with a drop kick. 

Ibushi with a drop kick that sends Ali into the corner. 

We go to commercial.

We are back and Perkins with a front face lock followed by a suplex and back drop driver for a near fall.  Perkins goes for the knee bar.  Ali gets to the ropes before Perkins can grab the other leg.  Ali with a forearm and Dorado tags in.  Perkins goes to the floor and Ali goes to the apron and kicks Perkins.  Dorado with a plancha onto Perkins.

Dorado with a cross body and he gets a near fall.  Ali tags in and he takes Perkins down and stretches him.  Perkins gets to his feet but Ali maintains the hold and then he puts his boot against Perkins’ back.  Perkins with a mule kick and he gets out of the hold.  Ali keeps Perkins from making the tag and Ali sends Ibushi to the floor.  Ali with a kick from the apron and then he hits a running neck breaker for a near fall.  Ali kicks Perkins and applies a reverse chin lock.  Perkins with elbows.  Perkins with a bulldog out of a wheelbarrow and both men are down.

Dorado and Ibushi tag in and Ibushi with a round kick to Dorado and Ali.  Ibushi with strikes and a kick.  Ibushi with a running knee strike.  Ibushi sets for a power bomb but Dorado with a slap.  Ibushi with a Double Pele Kick to Ali and Dorado.  Dorado with a super kick to Ibushi but Ibushi with a power slam.  Ibushi with a moonsault and Perkins made the tag before the moonsault and hits a frog splash for a near fall that is broken up by Ali.

Perkins sends Ali to the floor.  Ibushi with the double jump moonsault onto Ali.  Dorado goes for a drop kick in the corner and Dorado lands on his feet when Perkins moves.  Perkins with a springboard drop kick and then Perkins goes for the knee bar but Dorado with a rollup for a near fall.  Dorado with a near fall.  Ali tags in and takes care of Ibushi but Perkins with the knee bar and Ali taps out.

Winners: Kota Ibushi and TJ Perkins (Advance to face Sanity in the second round)
