GOLDBERG-LESNAR, JARRETT BACK TO TNA, PAIGE’S ISSUES AND MORE

What did you think of Goldberg’s return to WWE from the 10/17 Raw?

I think they did a fabulous job with it.  I don’t ever remember Goldberg delivering a promo even close to that one.

What do you think the (Goldberg) match with Brock Lesnar will be like?

Therein lies a problem.  Brock has run roughshod over the roster for years now.  Hell, he destroyed the returning Randy Orton at SummerSlam.  So I don’t see anyway they can book Brock to lose to a guy that hasn’t wrestled in over a decade and will be 50 years old in December.  So, I expect some bells and whistles and Goldberg to put in a “yeoman effort”, but fall at the end.

If Jeff Jarrett has financial support to run Global Wrestling why doesn't he take his money and try to get his creation back.

GFW isn’t exactly a regular promotions.  They go months without running events, thus they have little to no costs.  When you don’t have any bills, you don’t need any money to run the company.  TNA does have bills however, and that is the difference between the two.  Jarrett already spent a lot of money on TNA in the past.  Given the state of the company now, I don’t see why he would want to get back involved (and no way he would with Dixie Carter in power, since her moves have gotten TNA to where it is now).  If TNA had big revenue streams, that would be a different issue, but they don’t.  I see no reason for Jarrett to get back involved.

Is it just me or is the whole "he's 37 and this is his last chance" story for Brian Kendrick really annoying? There WWE champion is 39, there face of the company is 40, Jericho is 46, Orton is 37, Taker is in his 50's, etc. Most of the main event roster is in the mid 30's. Is it just creative couldn’t come up with something better?

I can’t say it’s just you, but I love the storyline and so do a lot of people I talk to.  I think you are looking at it from the wrong point of view.  It’s not that he’s old at 37.  It’s that he is 37 and has wasted the prime of his career and if he doesn’t get back to the top now, he will never get another chance.

From what I’ve been reading on your site, to an outsider looking in, it's hard to believe that it's just coincidence that Paige's recent troubles with both WWE and in her personal life began soon after her relationship with Alberto Del Rio became public.  First you have her 2 wellness suspensions, the first of which had a significant correlation to Alberto's suspension.  Now you have her parents begging her to come home, and her father openly disagreeing with the engagement.  I know you don't like to go into wrestlers' personal lives on the site, but considering that the issue directly affects her career at this point, how significant do you think her relationship with Alberto has been towards her recent troubles, and if you were her close friend or family member, what would you advise her regarding Alberto?

I see what you see.  Would it have happened anyway?  I tend to think not.  As I said on the show with Stu on Sunday, if I were her father (and I am old enough), I would feel the same way her real father does.  The behavior is just a bit out of control in my opinion.
