RING OF HONOR NEWS AND NOTES

By Mike Johnson on 2016-10-18 11:47:00

For those who asked, the attendance over the weekend was said to be 500-600 in Chicago and 550-650 in Detroit.  Chicago was down from the last few times the company was there and Detroit was back to it's usual levels.

For those who have asked for 2017 live dates, we don't have them yet but are working on them.  The first 2017 PPV will be the ROH 15th Anniversary show, likely from Las Vegas as that has been the location the last several years.  It would be awesome if they ran it in Philadelphia since that is where the company was born.  I would even like to see them do a one night "throwback show" of sorts in the Murphy Rec Center if they could get in the venue, or at least hold some sort of celebration in that venue.

The Death Before Dishonor DVD has been released at www.rohwrestling.com.

ROH TV champion Bobby Fish vs. Adam Page has been announced for the 10/29 Baltimore TV taping.

For those who have asked if the November Texas dates, might be moved to Royal Rumble weekend, I am told that is not in the cards.

Ring of Honor will return to the Sunshine State of Florida this weekend with live events in Lakeland, Florida and Fort Lauderdale.  On Friday 10/21, ROH will be running Lauderdale at the War Memorial Auditorium with a "Wildcard" six man tag featuring talents booked at random to team with Colt Cabana & Jay Lethal & Christopher Daniels vs. Jay Lethal & Silas Young & Alex Shelley, ROH champion Adam Cole vs. Bull James in a Proving Ground match, Dalton Castle vs. Hangman Page and Mark Briscoe vs. Frankie Kazarian announced.  On Saturday 10/22, Ring of Honor returns to Lakeland with ROH champion Adam Cole vs. Silas Young, The Addiction vs. Colt Cabana & Dalton Castle, Kamaitachi vs. Jay Lethal, Mark Briscoe vs. Hangman Page, Bull James vs. Punishment Martinez and more.    It's odd that the company doesn't have Kevin Sullivan on the shows given his history in the market, but perhaps he is going to be a surprise.

Jay Lethal and Adam Cole return to New Japan in November.
