The New York Comic Con is currently ongoing at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in NYC and there were a number of pro wrestling related signings and notes from the con:
*CM Punk appeared as a surprise moderator for Marvel Comics' panel on the 25th anniversary of The Infinity Gauntlet mini-series. Punk got a really positive reaction when he came out and had a great discussion with comics legend Jim Starlin about Thanos, Drax and his other creations. During the conversation, Punk noted that his own Marvel Comics "Drax" series has come to an end after 11 issues, saying that the book just didn't have enough readers. Punk was really knowledgable about Marvel and comics. He looked to have put some weight back on (he said 30 pounds during the discussion) and his ear looked to be in much better shape than it was at UFC.
*WWE Hall of Famer Sting made an unadvertised appearance at the convention and was filmed for a promotional appearance in support of the new WWE/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles action figure line:

*Ric Flair and Jerry Lawler made appearances signing at the "Headlocked Comics" booth. Jerry Lawler, Mick Foley and Noelle Foley will be appearing tomorrow.
*There were fans cosplaying as Iron Sheik, Matt Hardy and Seth Rollins at the convention:

*There will also be a Lucha Underground panel on Sunday 10/9 at 4 PM in Rooom 1A06 with Rey Mysterio Jr., LU Executive Producer Eric Van Wagenen, Ivellise Velez, Katrina, Marty Elias, Taya, Doran Roldan and more appearing. This panel will be streamed online live. The panel was being pushed heavily, including a digital sign outside the Convention Center.
*Topps are also be exhibiting, with one of their major pushes being for the WWE SLAM Card Trader App:
*Road Warrior Animal, Hornswoggle and Jimmy Hart will also be appearing over the course of the week, signing.
