Do you think Wrestlemania should be treated like the end of a season and almost a restart should happen Raw after Mania? Maybe use that for draft pick show. Could even bring NXT into it by calling up whoever the champions are after the Takeover before Wrestlemania. I think that would make the NXT title matches that much more meaningful.
I don’t think it should be a hard and fast rule. If it makes sense to have feuds end, yes. It often does happen that way, with Raw the next night starting the new direction. But if not, I don’t think it should be the case with everything. I don’t think we need another draft show either, as it forces things. I prefer talent to be called up when it makes sense, not just because of a date on a calendar.
Isn't there a certain irony in the Miz never having seemed as relevant as he is today, despite having main evented Wrestlemania? The draft seemed to have given him an impressive career boost that, thus far, highlighted by a seemingly half-ad libbed promo on Talking smack and a series of really good matches, with him working a style that does sometimes remind one of the heels of the often mythologized forgone time with an added twist of this generation. Maryse is certainly adding a lot as well, basically portraying a modern-day Precious or Sensational Sherri in her current role (and she really is a natural heel), making the act of her husband unique, yet with a tiny nod to those who came before them when heels worked a more basic, non-spectacular style and left the bigger moments to the heroes. What's your take on it? Am I giving Mizanin too much credit, or do he and his wife indeed come off a little as a modernized version of say the Jimmy Garvin & Precious-pair or even Macho King and Queen Sherri?
I have been saying for a while now that Miz is in the middle of a career resurgence. He has been really, really good this year. I think the people that don’t acknowledge how good he has been are missing the point. You sir, are not.
Why was TJ Perkins not on RAW for the debut of the cruiserweight division? You would think that they would want to showcase the new champion and belt by at least having him appear live in front of the crowd.
I wish I had an answer. I made the same observation. He should have been at ringside watching the Four Way and scouting his challenger. It made no sense to me that he wasn’t.
Is any of WWE’s programming eligible for an Emmy of any type?
Yes, they are as they are a television broadcast.
Nia Jax vs Tamina Snuka, where one has the title so it is a title match. Will I ever see it?
In WWE? The only way I could see that is if Nia had the belt and they wanted to feed her a larger wrestler to beat.
