7/23 NXT RESULTS FROM COCOA BEACH, FL

By Andrew Twiss on 2016-07-23 23:04:00

Here are results from NXT Live in Cocoa Beach, FL on July 23, 2016

Andrea D'Marco is your hostess and ring announcer for the evening.

- Niko Bogojevic def. Patrick Clark - Clark was wearing a bandage over his nose after getting it busted the night before by Hideo Itami. Pretty solid opener. Bogojevic is a beefy guy, announced as weighing 330 lbs. Patrick was the smaller guy trying to slam and move the bigger guy, but Bogojevic used his size to his advantage, hitting a Vader Bomb for the win. Patrick works very well as a heel. He really does well antagonizing a crowd. Oh, and for those who saw Niko on Breaking Ground, he just out the worm tonignt.

- Tucker Knight def Sawyer Fulton- This was a decent match at best. It wasn't great, but it wasn't terrible. It was just kind of there.

- The Authors of Pain def. Chris Atkins and Adrian Jaoude - This was basically an extended squash. It was an entertaining squash, so I'm fine with it.

- Carmella def. Mandy Rose - This was a fun match. Carmella called herself the Princess of Cocoa Beach for tonight. Both women looked solid. Mandy spent a lot of time working on Carmella's arm before Carmella made the big comeback. Carmella got a nice ovation and a chant of "Thank you Mella" as her send off.

- Mojo Rawley def. Josh Woods - An entertaining match, albeit maybe a tad too long. Mojo used a lot of his antics to warm up the crowd, including slapping Woods on the button a couple of times, and even breaking out his old Hyper Drive finisher early in the match. Mojo got the win and a big cheer in the end.

- Riddick Moss was introduced by Andrea D'Marco and asked about his thoughts on the draft. He said it was bizarre he wasn't drafted and bizarre the other NXT stars were cheering for their fellow superstars getting drafted. He calls himself the bad boy of NXT. He won't cheer for others getting the opportunities he deserves. He then proceeded to insult every draftee, except for Alexa Bliss who he forgot to mention. He then proceeded to rag on Daniel Bryan, Shane McMahon and Mick Foley. He did praise Stephanie McMahon and said she's smart. He gave her one year to draft him to Raw before he leaves. It was a really good heel promo.

- Daria Berenato def. Liv Morgan - An ok match that went on a little too long and was struggling by the end. They showed good promise early on and Daria has potential. She's very comfortable being physical in the ring and it helps her.

- Shinsuke Nakamura and TM 61 def Tino Sabbatelli and The Revival - A really fun match. You can't go wrong if Nakamura or The Revival are in the match. Just a really entertaining match from start to finish. Notes: - Tonight marked the final NXT Florida shows for Carmella and Mojo Rawley. Congratulations to them.

- Meet and Greet before the show was: Josh Woods, Billie Kay and Peyton Royce

No return date was announced.
