IS WWE SETTING UP RANDY ORTON TO BE INJURED AT SUMMERSLAM?, CWC, TAMINA AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2016-07-23 10:00:00

Have any of the WWE Cruiserweight Classic talents been signed to WWE deals?

Other then names like Rich Swann who was signed before the tournament began, as of this writing, none have yet been signed to deals.

Are streamers sold at the ROH merch tables, or do the fans bring their own?

Both!  It used to be that fans would bring streamers but in recent years, ROH also sells them at the merchandise table.  They still allow fans to bring their own into the venues, however.

I haven't seen Tamina lately. What's the story?

She is out of action following knee surgery, which we covered at the time.

Regarding Lesnar and Orton...With Brock just coming off of a cage fight and Orton coming off of a serious injury, do you think this match could have a bad outcome?  Is it possible for Lesnar to get back into the "work" frame of mind and not "shoot" mode?  It's known that he is stiff and in reality one trip to suplex city, where the bump is taken mostly on the shoulders, could re-injure Orton again and put him out...possibly for good.  Orton posted a picture of a nasty abrasion on his back from getting "ring ready". I can see this match having a bad outcome with one minor mistake because it is obvious that the guys don't take care of each other like they did back in the day.  Your thoughts?

The abrasions Randy Orton showed are common when someone is running the ropes in training because they haven't made their bodies accustomed to it yet.  Is it possible Orton could get hurt wrestling Lesnar?  Of course, but WWE isn't going to book him into a match where he's going to get hurt and they aren't going to clear something that could cause serious injury.  I think the potential for injury, whether it was meant to be or not, has become part of the narrative for the story of the match and it will be interesting to see how that plays into things when Summerslam comes around next month.

Is the WWE dropping the ball by not making a "beat John Cena up" t- shirt. I would buy it.

I'm going to guess that this wouldn't be a big seller, so probably not.

Was the Saez in the Cruiserweight Classic related to Xtra Large who worked Pro Wrestling NOAH a few years back?  They looked really similar.

They should, because they are the same person!
