CRUISERWEIGHT CLASSIC REPORT: FIRST FOUR MATCHES FEATURING KOTA IBUSHI, CEDRIC ALEXANDER, GRAN METALIK, AND MORE

Hunter says that the cruiserweights have a great history in wrestling.  It is time for a new generation to blaze their trail and step out of the shadows and into the spotlight for a legacy that cannot be forgotten.  That is what the Cruiserweight Classic is for.  The first round starts tonight.
We are in Winter Park, Florida and your announcers are Mauro Ranallo and Daniel Bryan.
Mauro sends it to Corey Graves at the CWC Control Center.  We will see Ho Ho Lun versus Ariya Daivari.  Cedric Alexander will face Clement Petiot.  Kota Ibushi faces Sean Maluta.  Gran Metalik faces Alejandro Saez in the first match.

We see a video for Gran Metalik.  He mentions he is 27 years old and he talks about his mask and how important it is to him in Mexico.  He says he would love to win this tournament for Mexico.
Alejandro Saez mentions that he is here to show that Chileans are warriors.  He says you have to fight for what you want.

Match Number One:  Gran Metalik (Mexico) versus Alejandro Saez (Chile)
The referee asks if there are any questions before the bell rings.
They lock up and Saez with a wrist lock and Metalik escapes.  Saez with a kick and double sledge to the back.  Saez with a side head lock.  Saez with a shoulder tackle and Saez runs around Metalik and hits a drop kick for a near fall.  Saez discusses the referee's count and then he kicks Metalik.  Saez goes to the apron and he connects with a shoudler and hits a springboard drop kick and gets a near fall.  
Saez with a chop and Metalik with a kick and it sends Saez to the floor.  Metalik with a springboard flip dive onto Saez.  Saez is sent back into the ring and Metalik goes up top  and walks the ropes and hits a splash for a near fall.  Metalik with a chop but Saez sends Metalik to the apron and kicks him in the head to send Metalik to the floor.  Saez with a shooting star press off the apron.
Saez sends Metalik back into the ring and he goes upt op and misses a corkscrew splash.  Metalik with a clothesline and he hits a Michinoku Driver for the three count.
Winner:  Gran Metalik

Metalik will face the winner of the Tajiri versus Damian Slater Match in the second round.

We take a look at Ariya Daivari.  He mentions his brother used to wrestle in the WWE.  He says watching him, taught him that he needs to do whatever it takes to win.

Ho Ho Lun says it means a lot to represent Hong Kong.  People back home are starting to support him.  He will make them proud.

Match Number Two:  Ho Ho Lun (China) versus Ariya Daivari (Iran)
The referee asks if there are any questions before the bell rings.  Daivari refuses to shake hands.
They lock up and Daivari with a side head lock.  Lun with a forearm but Daivari with a shoulder tackle.  Daivari with a cartwheel to avoid Lun.  Lun with a drop kick and running forearm into the corner.  Lun with a drop kick to the back of the head for a near fall.  Lun with a double sledge to the back.  Daivari with a neck breaker and he gets a near fall.  Daivari sends Lun into the turnbuckles and kicks him.
Daivari with a hard Irish whip but he misses a splash into the corner.  Daivari with a jumping knee and he gets a near fall.  Daivari with a series of running knees to the back and he returns to the reverse chin lock.  Lun with punches but Daivari pulls Lun down by the hair.  Daivari gets a near fall.  Daivari with a reverse chin lock.  Lun escapes the hold but Daivari with a knee.  He misses a kick but does connect with a round kick and Daivari gets a near fall.  Daivair paint brushes Lun but runs into a spinning heel kick.  Lun with a double sledge.  Lun goes to the turnbuckles on an Irish whip and hits a missile drop kick.
Lun goes for a German suplex but Daivari with a standing switch.  Daivari with a rolling elbow and he misses a frog splash.  Lun with a series of kicks for a near fall.  Lun with a German suplex and bridge for the three count.
Winner:  Ho Ho Lun

Lun advances to face the winner of the Noam Dar versus Gurv Sihra Match.

We go to commercial.

We are back with a look at Clement Petiot.  He says he was trained by Lance Storm.  He is not a high flyer.  He does not do flips or moonsaults.  
Cedric Alexander says his soul in in rejoice.  When you think of Charlotte, you think of Ric Flair.  He wants to be in the same breath as Flair when you talk about Charlotte, North Carolina.

Match Number Three:  Clement Petiot (France) versus Cedric Alexander (United States)
The referee gives his instructions and asks for the hand shake.  They go face to face before the bell rings.
Petiot with a waist lock take down but Alexander with a hammer lock.  Petiot with a reversal but Alexander with a wrist lock and take down.  Alexander with arm drags and Petiot goes to the floor.  Alexander teases a dive but Petiot moves and Alexander flips back into the ring.  Alexander with a head scissors take down and a drop kick for a naer fall.  Alexander gets sent to the apron and Petiot with a knee to the head.  Petiot with a head butt and shoulders in the corner.
Alexander with forearms and a knee.  Alexander slaps Petiot but Petiot with a kick and he gets a near fall.  Petiot with a suplex and he gets a near fall.  Petiot with a hard Irish whip and gutwrench suplex for a near fall.  Petiot with a reverse chin lock.  Alexander with punches and forearms but Petiot with a knee and elbow.  Alexander with an Irish whip and he misses a charge into the corner.  Petiot with a kick to the back of the head and he sends Alexander into the turnbuckles.  Petiot with a knee to the head and he gets a near fall.  Petiot with a knee and head butt.  Alexander and Petiot exchange punches and forearms but Petiot is in control.  Alexander goes to the apron and the referee pulls Petiot away.  Alexander avoids a kick and drops Petiot into the ropes.  Alexander with a springboard clothesline.  Alexander with a series of runing forearms followed by a suplex attempt that is blocked but Petiot.  Petiot escapes again and he hits a clothesline for a near fall.
Petiot misses a forearm and Alexander hits the Lumbar Check for the three count.
Winner:  Cedric Alexander

Alexander advances to face the winner of the Kota Ibushi versus Sean Maluta Match.

Mauro mentions the match between Kota Ibushi and Sean Maluta.  Daniel says Ibushi is one of the best wrestlers in the world and one of the hardest kickers in the world.  Daniels talks about what they need to do to win the match.

Kota Ibushi says the ring is where he expresses himself.  He wants to make the crowd happy.  He says the WWE is a new audience for him but he will make them happy with his skills.
Sean Maluta mentions his uncle is Afa.  He started at the Wild Samoan Training Center.  He says this is what he wanted to do.

Match Number Four:  Sean Maluta (American Samoa) versus Kota Ibushi (Japan)
The referee asks if there are any questions before the hand shake.
Ibushi with a kick that sends Maluta to the mat.  Maluta with a waist lock and Ibushi with a wrist lock.  Maluta rolls through and reverses.  Ibushi with a hammer lock but Maluta with a drop toe hold into a front face lock.  Ibushi returns to the waist lock.  Maluta with a standing switch and side head lock.  Maluta with a shoulder tackle and he flips over Ibushi but Ibushi with a round kick to the chest.
Ibushi with forearms in the corner followed by an Irish whip and Maluta floats over and connects with a forearm.  Maluta goes up top and misses a frog splash when Ibushi moves.  Ibushi goes to the apron and hits a springboard drop kick.  Ibushi with a forearm and he runs into an elbow.  Ibushi with a t-bone suplex.  Ibushi runs into a boot and Muluta with a Codebreaker off the turnbuckles and Ibushi goes to the floor.
Maluta hits a springboard flip dive onto Ibushi.  Maluta sends Ibushi back into the ring and gets a near fall.  Maluta with a kick to the back and he applies a modified abdominal stretch.  Ibushi with elbows but Maluta with a kick and neck breaker for a near fall.  Maluta with kicks to the chest.  Ibushi with a drop kick.  Maluta misses punches but Ibushi with strikes followed by a round kick to the upper chest.  Ibushi with a standing moonsault for a near fall.  Ibushi with forearms and he puts Maluta on the turnbuckles.  Maluta blocks a superplex attempt and knocks Ibushi off the turnbuckles with forearms.  Ibushi with a Pele kick to knock Maluta off the turnbuckles and to the floor.
Ibushi with a double jump moonsault onto Maluta.  Ibushi sends Maluta back into the ring and gets a near fall.  Ibushi goes for a half nelson suplex but Maluta with elbows and he hits a super kick but he can only get a near fall.  Maluta picks up Ibushi and connects with Kawada kicks but Ibushi with a round kick to the head and Ibushi with a Last Ride Power Bomb for the three count.
Winner Kota Ibushi

Advances to face Cedric Alexander in the second round.
