I get why WWE has invoked the memory of Warrior and Andre into present day awards and a battle royal, but I'm surprised they haven't done anything to honor the legacy of Rowdy Roddy Piper as well.  Shouldn't there be more done besides that magazine tribute?

I think they should, yes. As has been said many times, without Roddy Piper, there’s no Hulk Hogan or current day WWE. Piper was an extremely important figure in the company’s history and should be honored the way Andre and Warrior were.

I recall reading about a group of NWA promotions that joined forces to compete with the WWF during its national expansion in the 80s.  Would a similar game plan help TNA in its time of need?

Unfortunately, no. Back then, the NWA groups were largely strong regional promotions so they could offer name talent to compete with Vince, especially in the case of the AWA-NWA. TNA already has national TV and access to the audience. Other than ROH, there is no other company out there that could band with TNA to up its status and I don’t see ROH doing it.

After almost 20 years, do you think it's time for WWE Films to produce a screenplay of the Montreal Screwjob for theatrical release?

I think if there was an audience, they would maybe consider it. But, I don’t think there is one. Plus, it was already chronicled to a degree in Wrestling With Shadows. I think it’s been done enough already. It would be a vanity program at best.

Mike Johnson grabs Dave Scherer's arm a la Titus and Vince.  What are the repercussions, if any?

Probably none if it were me. With that said, I won’t slam Vince for the suspension. I get that Titus was saying, “Ladies first” and all, but it’s Vince’s show and given that it was after Daniel Bryan had retired, he felt that Titus upstaged the ceremony. Again, I wouldn’t have reacted as Vince did, but Titus shouldn’t have done what he did either.

I am curious about the Lesnar/Orton match. Who will lose? I mean, would they have Orton lose in his first match back? Would they have Brock lose after his big UFC win? So I have to think that there will be a 3rd party interference, someone who will begin a feud with one or the other. What do you think?

It’s a good question, for the reasons you mention. If it’s me, I book it as a war where Lesnar comes out of it by the skin of his teeth. Given he just won a UFC fight, there is no hurt done to Orton that way. I think Brock has to go over at this point.
