WWE SMACKDOWN REPORT: CHAMPION VERSUS CHAMPION, FATAL FOUR WAY, DEBUT IN WOMEN'S DIVISION, AND MORE

We are in Miami, Florida and your announcers are Maruo Ranallo, Byron Saxton, and David Otunga.

We go to Cesaro and comments from earlier today.

Cesaro arrived at the arena and he says he is hosting an Uppercut Party on his way to becoming the United States Champion.  It is an exclusive party.  Only Sheamus, Alberto Del Rio, and Apollo Crews are invited.  After that, Rusev can bring his title and swing by.

Apollo Crews says he is not going to pass up this opportunity.  He says he considers himself to be the underdog since he has been around the WWE for only two months.  Sometimes the impossible becomes possible.

Sheamus fixes his hair and mustache and he says he does not know why Apollo Crews is in this match.  He has a secret, he is glad Apollo is.  As much fun that he is going to have winning the title from Rusev, he is going to have as much fun kicking off Crews’ head.

Alberto says that Sheamus can spend hours fixing his hair.  He did not know who Apollo was until last month.  He is going to win tonight so he can win his title back from his friend Rusev.

Match Number One:  Cesaro versus Alberto Del Rio versus Apollo Crews versus Sheamus in a Number One Contender Match for the United States Title

The bell rings and Del Rio goes after Sheamus so Crews and Cesaro square off.  Crews with forearms to Cesaro and then he goes after Sheamus.  Cesaro punches Del Rio.  Crews and Sheamus go to the floor.  Del Rio kicks Cesaro and Cesaro with a tilt-a-whirl back breaker.  Sheamus sends Crews shoulder first into the ringside barrier.  Cesaro goes to the apron and he hits a cannonball onto Sheamus.

Del Rio kicks Cesaro in the ribs and sends him into the ringside barrier.  Del Rio sends Cesaro into the ring post and then Sheamus and Del Rio push each other.  They both send Cesaro back into the ring.  Sheamus sends Cesaro into the turnbuckles and Del Rio kicks him.  Sheamus punches Cesaro and Del Rio pulls him out of the corner.  Del Rio with a suplex and then Sheamus hits a belly-to-back suplex.  Crews with a cross body to Del Rio and Sheamus.  Sheamus sends Crews to the apron and then knocks him off the apron.  Cesaro with a running European uppercut to Sheamus.  Del Rio with a kick to Cesaro.  Cesaro goes to the apron and connects with a boot to Del Rio but Sheamus knocks Cesaro off the apron.

Del Rio with a lungblower to Sheamus and he sends him to the floor as we go to commercial.

We are back and Del Rio has Crews in the Tree of Woe and Del Rio punches Crews.  Del Rio goes up top but Crews is able to throw Del Rio off.  Cesaro with a cross body to Del Rio for a near fall.  Cesaro with a double leg take down to Del Rio and then Cesaro is stopped by Sheamus.  Sheamus with a uranage back breaker for a near fall.  Sheamus with a Cloverleaf to Cesaro but Del Rio super kicks Sheamus and gets a near fall on Cesaro.  Del Rio floats over into the cross arm breaker but Crews with a standing moonsault to break up the hold.  Cesaro with a drop kick to Crews.

Cesaro with a running European uppercut to Sheamus followed by Crews and Del Rio.  He gives another one to everyone.  Del Rio eats a third one and Crews gets clotheslined.  Sheamus with a tilt-a-whirl power slam for a near fall on Cesaro.  Sheamus kicks Crews and connects with European uppercuts.  Crews with forearms and Sheamus with a knee.  Sheamus gets Crews onto his shoulders but Crews gets to his feet and he hits a cross body that sends him and Sheamus over the top rope to the floor.
Del Rio with a step up enzuigiri to Cesaro for a near fall.  Del Rio sets for the float over into the cross arm breaker but Cesaro counters and he puts Del Rio in the giant swing and he puts Del Rio in the Sharpshooter and Del Rio taps out.

Winner:  Cesaro

After the match, Cesaro celebrates and he leaves the ring but Del Rio pushes Cesaro into the ring steps.  Del Rio hangs Cesaro on the apron and Del Rio with a double stomp off the apron.

Cesaro holds his ribs.

Rusev’s music plays and he makes his way to the ring and he is ready to wrestle. 

Rusev takes a mic and he congratulates Cesaro for achieving the highest glory in man’s life by facing him for the United States Championship.  He tells Cesaro to enjoy his moment because it is about to end.  He says that he does not want to wait so he tells Cesaro to accept the match right now.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Cesaro is still being checked out at ringside by the referees.

Cesaro starts to go to the back but he hears Rusev call him a coward, and Cesaro is ready to fight because you never accept being called a coward.

Match Number Two:  Rusev (with Lana) versus Cesaro for the United States Title

Rusev charges at Cesaro but Cesaro moves and Cesaro with a flurry of European uppercuts.  Rusev with kicks and knees to the midsection.  Rusev punches Cesaro in the ribs.  Rusev with more punches and then he takes too long so Cesaro is able to hit a suplex and he gets a near fall.  Rusev runs Cesaro into the turnbuckles and connects with shoulders.  Rusev with a bear hug but Cesaro refuses to give up.  Cesaro with elbows to get out of the hold and connects with a European uppercut.  Rusev with a kick.  Cesaro with a springboard European uppercut and Rusev goes to the floor.

Cesaro tries to suplex Rusev back into the ring but Rusev blocks it and he punches Cesaro.  Rusev goes up top and Cesaro with a European uppercut and a drop kick that knocks Rusev to the floor.  Cesaro with a cannonball onto Rusev.  Cesaro goes up top and goes for a cross body but Rusev catches Ceasro and hits a uranage and a senton for a near fall. 

The referee checks on Cesaro and the referee holds Rusev back.  Rusev has a jumping kick blocked and Cesaro with two European uppercuts and a clothesline for a near fall.  Cesaro sets for the Gotch Style Neutralizer but he cannot lift Rusev due to the damage to his ribs.  Rusev with a knee to the midsection and Rusev tries for the Accolade but Cesaro rolls through and tries for the Sharpshooter but Rusev with a shot to the ribs.

Rusev goes for the Accolade but Cesaro with a jackknife cover for a near fall.  Rusev with a kick and then he stomps on the back and applies the Accolade.  Cesaro taps out.

Winner:  Rusev

We go to commercial.

We are back and Rusev and Lana are stopped by Renee Young and Renee congratulates Rusev on his victory.  Rusev says he is the greatest of all time and a true American hero.  Renee mentions that Monday is Independence Day and Rusev says they should change it to IndeRusev Day.  While Americans shovel processed meats in their faces and shoot of fireworks in the name of Rusev, he will take his lovely fiancé Lana to the most luxurious island away from the WWE Universe.

Renee tells Rusev he will be defending his title on Monday against Titus O’Neil. 

Lana tell Rusev CRUSH.

We take a look at the WWE involvement with the Special Olympics and footage from the WWE Performance Center.

Dana Brooke walks in the back as we go to commercial.

Match Number Three:  Dana Brooke versus Billie Kay

Dana pushes Billie down when Billie wants to lock up.  They lock up and Dana backs her into the corner.  Dana tosses Billie by the hair.  Dana runs into an elbow as we see Sasha watching on a monitor in the back from a very uncomfortable angle.  Billie with an arm drag but Dana sends Billie into the turnbuckles and then hits a flap jack.  Dana kicks Billie and sends her into the turnbuckles.  Dana chokes Billie with her boot.  Dana with a forearm and a handspring choke.  Dana with a clothesline and Dana stomps on the midsection and hits a twisting splash for a near fall.

Billie with punches and a forearm.  Billie with a head scissors take down and a discus forearm and boot to the head for a near fall.  Dana with a jaw breaker and a modified Cradle Shock for the three count.

Winner:  Dana Brooke

We see Sasha continuing to watch on the monitor. 

Renee asks Sasha about Dana’s victory and Sasha points out she made Dana tap out.  Sasha says ‘The Boss’is more than a nickname.  The WWE Universe knows it and Charlotte knows it.  They could probably have their own episode of Rivalries on the WWE Network.  Charlotte is on the top of the mountain, but it won’t last long.  Charlotte can feel her breathing down her neck.  She says she will hunt Charlotte down and . . .

Summer Rae stops by and she says that she can speak for everyone by saying we are sick of this ‘Boss’ thing.  It fits her because it is all flash and no funk.  She says she hopes that they will be on different brands after the draft.

Sasha says that she will be happy to show Summer what happens when you disrespect The Boss tonight.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Miz is in the ring with his wife Maryse and she introduce her husband, the star of Marine 5 and the Intercontinental Champion, the Miz.

Miz welcomes everyone to MizTV. 

With the draft on July 19th, this could be the last MizTV on Smackdown . . . OR . . . MizTV could become the signature show of Smackdown Live.  Miz introduces his guest but his music jumps the gun and Dean Ambrose makes his way to the ring.

Dean apologizes for being late and Miz tells Ambrose he is early.  He announces Dean’s name, he comes out . . .

Miz wants to know what Dean is doing and Dean reminds MIz he said he was busy so he did not have time to eat.  Dean brings up Miz’ new movie Maroon 5:  Battleground.

Miz corrects Dean and he asks who brings a sandwich to a talk show.

Dean says it is a Cuban.  We are in Miami.  Dean asks Miz if he ever tried one.
Miz says it is not organic so no.  He asks Dean if he knows how much gluten is in the sandwich.

Dean says he has to keep his strength up.  He reminds Miz that he cashed in Money in the Bank and he has a big match at Battleground.  It is a Triple Threat Match against Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns.

Dean says he is in the talk show business and he wanted to see how it was done.  Dean appreciates the carpet and chairs. 

Miz says that the only thing the Ambrose Asylum had was that stupid plant.

Dean tells Miz not to talk about Mitch like that.

Miz asks Dean if he thinks the Ambrose Asylum is better than MizTV.  Miz says these people want MizTV.

Dean says why not ask the people and he asks them if they would rather watch an episode of MizTV or the Ambrose Asylum.

Miz says he has been creating art.  Through trials and tribulations, he has retained the Intercontinental Title.

Dean says these days, he is THE Champion around here.  It is going to stay that way.

Miz says Dean representing WWE is a joke.  Miz says he is dressed like a champion in a suit while he points out that Dean is wearing jeans.  Maryse also tells Dean he is wearing jeans.

Dean shows Miz his shoes. 

Miz says that Dean would not even be a guest on the Today Show.  Miz calls Dean a novelty act.  He is a black mark on anyone who holds a title.  Dean is an affront to everything he has done for this company and he says that Dean is not even on his level.

Dean says he knows where this is going and they get ready to fight, but Dean finishes his sandwich and Dean uses Miz’ jacket as a napkin.

Maryse grabs the jacket and she freaks out at the stain.  Maryse tosses the jacket over Dean’s head and Miz kicks Dean.

We go to commercial.

We are back and the Wyatt Family makes its way to the ring.

Match Number Four:  Erick Rowan and Braun Strowman (with Bray Wyatt) versus Aaron Hale and Mike Duoty

Rowan starts things off and he connects with a forearm to the back and then he knocks down his partner.  Rowan with a full nelson slam and Strowman tags in.  Strowman picks up the guy from the apron and brings him into the ring with a biel.  Strowman drives him onto his partner and Strowman gets the three count.

Winners:  Braun Strowman and Erick Rowan

After the match, Wyatt takes the mic and comes into the ring, but the New Day appear on the TitanTron.

Kofi says fear is what weak people use to manipulate others.  Oftentimes people who wield fear are the most fearful themselves.  The question is what do you fear . . . Bray?

Big E asks soap, the ghost from the Conjuring 2?  Females with big ole booties.  Your fear is to be exposed by the New Day.  Big E yells for Bray to expose himself and Kofi reminds of what that sounds like.  Big E tells Bray to keep his sheep in the barn.

Bray wants to know what is wrong with Woods.  Why aren’t you laughing?  Bray tells Woods to let his friends know what he already knows, that the devil calls for you.  He tells them to pray and run.

We go to commercial.

Match Number Five:  Summer Rae versus Sasha Banks

They lock up and Summer with a side head lock and shoulder tackle.  Sasha with an elbow and chop.  Sasha with a wrist lock and arm drag off the turnbuckles.  Sasha pulls Summer out of the corner.  Sasha with a biel by the hair.  Sasha charges at Summer but Summer moves and Sasha goes to the floor.  Sasha with forearms when she returns to the ring.

Summer goes to the apron and connects with a knee and she brings Sasha to the apron and tries for a suplex but Sasha blocks it.  Summer with a boot and Sasha is sent to the floor as we go to commercial.

We are back and Summer stretches Sasha in the ropes.  Summer goes to the apron and kicks Sasha in the head.  Summer with a suplex and then she kicks Sasha in the ribs and back.  Summer goes for another suplex but Sasha blocks it and gets a near fall with an inside cradle.  Sasha with another near fall on a rollup.  Sasha goes for a back slide and gets a near fall.  Summer with an Irish whip but Sasha gets her foot up and Summer is able to block it.  Sasha with a snap mare and clotheslines.  Summer has a kick blocked and Sasha with a kick.  Sasha misses a double knee strike and Summer gets a near fall with a rollup.

Summer with a spinning heel kick for a near fall.  Sasha escapes a slam attempt and she sends Summer into the turnbuckles.  Summer is put on the middle turnbuckle but Summer avoids the double knee strike.  Summer with a round kick and a DDT for a near fall.  Summer taunts Sasha but Sasha sends Summer into the turnbuckles and Summer is put on the middle turnbuckle and Sasha with the double knee strike and she applies the Banks Statement and Summer taps out.

Winner:  Sasha Banks

We go to the Raw Rebound with a look back at the start of Raw when Seth Rollins addressed the Roman Reigns situation.

We go to commercial.

Match Number Six:  Miz (with Maryse) versus Dean Ambrose in a Champion versus Champion Non Title Match

Miz goes into the ropes to force the referee to keep Dean away.  Dean blocks a kick and connects with a clothesline.  Dean with punches from the turnbuckles and a back elbow.  Dean with a suplex followed by a snap elbow drop and he gets a near fall.  Dean with a chop.  Miz with a knee to the midsection.  Miz with kicks to Ambrose in the corner.  Ambrose with a cross body followed by punches.

Miz with a kick but Ambrose clotheslines Miz over the top rope to the floor.  Maryse pulls Miz out of the way and Dean is able to avoid the dive to nowhere.  Ambrose chases Miz around the ring and Dean with a hip toss and slam.  Dean goes to the turnbuckles and Miz catches Dean and tries for the Skull Crushing Finale.  Dean escapes and goes for the double underhook DDT.  Ambrose goes to the floor.  Miz misses the baseball slide and Dean with a clothesline.

Dean turns his attention to Maryse and Miz tries to attack Dean from behind, but he fails.  Miz sends Ambrose into the ringside barrier and we go to commercial.

We are back and Ambrose with punches but Miz with a KneeDT.  Miz with a second KneeDT.  Miz pulls Dean down and wrings the leg into the ring post.  Miz with a punch and he wrings the leg into the ring post again.  Miz with a knee to the back and he kicks Dean in the leg.  Miz with an elbow drop to the leg and he works on the knee and ankle.  Ambrose runs his boot across the head to get out of the hold.  Dean with forearms.  Miz with an Irish whip and he is sent to the apron.  Miz drops Ambrose on the top rope.  Miz goes up top but Ambrose stops Miz and goes for a superplex.  Miz punches Dean off and head butts him to the mat.  Miz with a double sledge off the top.  Miz sets for the Skull Crushing Finale but Dean drops down and gets a near fall with a rollup.  Dean with a neck breaker and both men are down.

Dean with punches and chops to Miz.  Ambrose with running forearms and he hits a flying clothesline.  Dean with a running forearm into the corner followed by a bulldog and then Ambrose with a La Magistral and he gets a near fall.  Dean is pushed into the turnbuckles and Miz blocks a kick and he puts the leg in the ropes and Miz with kicks to the thigh and he sets for the figure four leg lock but Dean kicks Miz away with his bad leg.  Dean with an elbow and he goes to the turnbuckles for a missile drop kick but Miz blocks it and applies the figure four leg lock.  Dean tries to get to the ropes and he succeeds. 

Miz takes his time releasing the hold.  Miz goes for the figure four again and Ambrose with an inside cradle for a near fall.  Ambrose sends Miz over the top rope to the floor and Dean with a suicide dive.  Dean sends Miz into the ring and he goes up top but leaps over Miz.  Dean lands awkwardly on his leg.  Ambrose with an O’Connor Roll but Miz rolls through to get a near fall.  Miz with a punch and Dean bounces off the middle rope and goes for the clothesline but Miz counters into the Skull Crushing Finale but Dean is able to kick out.  Miz goes for a boot to the head but Dean ducks and gets a near fall with a rollup.  Miz hits the Awesome Clothesline and he goes up top but Dean with a kick as Miz comes off and hits the double underhook DDT for the three count.

Winner:  Dean Ambrose
