Former WWE champion turned massive Hollywood star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson will be getting his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, it was announced yesterday. There will be an official ceremony to commemorate Johnson's career and unveil his star in 2017. He is being honored for his work in motion pictures.
Johnson would become the first full-time professional wrestler to receive a star on the Walk of Fame. Vince McMahon(who you could technically call a professional wrestler, although he spent the majority of his career as a promoter) was honored for his work in TV, as was WWE celebrity Hall of Famer Donald Trump.
