NEW TNA OWNER RUMOR, HILLBILLY JIM IN THE WWE HALL, ROH IN NYC AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2016-06-11 10:00:00

I go to a lot of ROH shows in NYC but after the crappy sightlines for the Global War tour, I will never go back unless they move to a better venue.  Can you please tell me they will move to a better venue?  Terminal 5 is in the middle of nowhere (which for Manhattan is saying something) and is just terrible.  Please give me some hope?

You should have hope.  ROH is well aware of the issues with the venue but were faced with giving up NYC while they look for a better venue or running and trying to accomodate the audience.  The week of the Global Wars tour, the company spent an entire day visiting with different venues and touring them for potential future homes for the promotion.  They've never stopped trying to negotiate a new deal with Hammerstein Ballroom and only left because the existing terms meant they couldn't make money.  The good news is their next NYC show is at MCU Field in Brooklyn, so you don't have to worry about the sightlines there...and you can even walk the Boardwalk on Coney Island!

What are the odds of Hillbilly Jim going in the WWE Hall of Fame?  It seems pretty odd he isn't already in.

I agree with you.  He was certainly an endearing character for the company, has always been a great ambassador for WWE and would probably give an excellent speech.  I am 100% with you.  Let's see him inducted.

Is it true TNA has a new owner?

As of this morning, that is 100% not true.  Dixie Carter is the majority owner of TNA.

So, with Gawker filing bankruptcy, is Hulk Hogan up the creek without a paddle?

Not necessarily, but I don't think anyone ever really expected Hogan was going to get $140 million.  He will get something from all of this, but what exactly remains to be seen.  It shouldn't matter, because Hogan has said, on record, this wasn't about the money.  Right? Right?

I like in Milwaukee and I have an odd question - I keep seeing CM Punk around town, but doesn't he live in Chicago?  Was that all a work?

He lives in Chicago but is training to compete in MMA in Milwaukee.
