CRIMINAL CHARGES AGAINST TEDDY HART DROPPED IN CANADA

By Mike Johnson on 2016-06-09 21:06:00

The Calgary Sun reported today that charges against international independent star and third-generation wrestler Teddy Hart were dropped.

In December 2014, two women, one aged 24 and the other aged 40, pressed charges against Hart that included a single count of sexual assault and unlawful confinement for each victim and three charges of assault.   The charges were withdrawn on 5/26 when the court decided that the case "did not meet the criteria" to proceed.

Hart was in the United States when the charges were filed but did eventually return to Canada to turn himself in.

Hart agreed not to contact the women for at least two years.

"He's relieved and looks forward to getting back to work," Hart's attorney Kent Teskey told the newspaper.
