Don't know if this has been asked before. Do you think it would be a good idea to have a title change at a house show? It would give the appearance that anything can happen as it is now you know that there is not going to be a change. It would be ok if they have cameras as most venue have giant screens.
I agree, it would help give people the idea that anything can happen at a house show. And therein lies the problem. WWE is a TV business. Its two biggest revenue sources are TV contracts and their own Network. From that standpoint, it makes sense to have big things happen on TV so I can see why they wouldn’t change the WWE Title there. Potentially, I could see a lesser belt, or the Tag Titles, changed in the future, but I think the big strap has to get the TV treatment.
WWE had the chance to give Seth Rollins the biggest Babyface return since HHH coming back from his quad injury....They chose to force feed us Rollins as a Heel vs. The most universally hated babyface in Reigns...Is there a "long term" hope the fans will fall in line with Vince’s vision? I mean its Vince’s decision to ignore what the fans wanted that got Reigns all this unwanted heat in the first place.
We talked about this on Stu and Pid yesterday. In a nutshell, Vince has said he markets to younger people. He will give them what he thinks they want (and what he wants). As the fans that boo Reigns have shown, they will still pay their money to come to shows. And they will react. He wins. I liked the idea of Rollins coming back as a face too, but Vince wasn’t going to turn Reigns (which I wouldn’t do now either as Reigns has been having great matches and more and more I am hearing fans take on the hipsters that are booing Reigns just to boo him as we are long past the point of “sending a message).
After seeing Charlotte kick her dad to the curb this past Monday it just got me thinking she has come such a long way in a relatively short amount of time. Going from a ultra vanilla babyface that beat Nikki Bella to one of the best heels in wrestling. With that being said would you rather see WWE have a Charlotte-Stephanie match at Summerslam or would you rather see a regular talent like Sasha or even Bayley get a shot at her. Personally I hope she keeps the belt for a long time. Thoughts?
First off, Stephanie will be an almost 40 year old, mother of three, non-wrestler by the time SummerSlam comes. The last thing I want to see is her wrestling the champion. Charlotte is in a no-win situation. If she comes out on top, she’s supposed to. If she loses, it’s to a non-wrestler. I want to see wrestlers wrestle, and executives do their managerial job. But Vince sees McMahons as the ultimate draws so it wouldn't shock me if it happened. As for Charlotte, I am a fan as well. I don’t mind a long reign as long as it leads to a babyface finally beating her in dramatic fashion.
Wasn't Cesaro terrific as always in his fatal 4 way match? He was like the focal point everyone went after!
Yes he was, as were the other three men in the bout. It was an amazing, amazing match and all four men were the reason. I know people have put over KO and Sami as well, but Miz also deserves props. They were all great.
Why waste a space in MITB by having Jericho go over Apollo Crews? We all know Jericho doesn't have a chance to win, so why not put Crews in there?
It depends on how you look at it. Yes, Jericho isn’t going to win, but Crews isn’t either so if you put him in there, he will just lose. Personally, I wouldn’t have even have had him in the qualifying match in the first place. He wasn’t going to win, so I would have protected him by keeping him out of the match and just continued working on building him up.
