WWE announced today that WWE Studios are making a new installment in the "Marine" film franchise, one of the films that initially launched the Studio in 2006. Marine 5 will star The Miz, returning to the film franchise for "Marine 5: Battleground." The film will begin filming this Tuesday 5/31 and will also feature Maryse, Naomi, Heath Slater, Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel. That's a record for the number of WWE talents in the same film. The plot of the film, according to the WWE announcement: "The Miz returns as Jake Carter, an ex-Marine who served in the Middle East and is now saving civilian lives stateside as an EMT. After responding to an emergency call in an abandoned parking lot, Carter finds himself protecting an injured man from a ruthless biker gang. With the odds stacked against him, Carter utilizes his unique Marine skills to stop the bikers’ rampage before any more innocent blood is shed." This is Miz's third "Marine" film.

WWE has released a new red, white and blue themed John Cena t-shirt. I would expect he'll be wearing those colors when he returns to Raw this Monday.
