QUEENS OF COMBAT 11 AND 12 RESULTS

By Chris Dickinson on 2016-05-26 08:19:00

I was in attendance at Queens of Combat 11 and 12 at the Mid-Atlantic Sportatorium in Gibsonville, NC, and thought I’d send you the results from the shows.  First, I should say that these are shows that wrestling fans should go out of their way to see, either live (if at all possible) or via DVD or VOD through their web site – www.combatqueens.com.  The promotion boasts a core roster of Taeler Hendrix (champion), Jessicka Havok, LuFisto, Tessa Blanchard, and Solo Darling, among others.  Every show features a combination of core roster members, local talent, and a veriable who’s who of both up-and-coming and established female wrestlers from around the country (Candice LeRae, Heidi Lovelace, Kimber Lee, Barbi Hayden, Amber Gallows, Santana Garrett, Crazy Mary Dobson, Mickie James, and Leva Bates, to name a few).  The wrestlers are always very fan friendly, Miss Sojo Bolt is a wiz at putting great matches together, and the matches are always high quality at a minimum.  With that said, on to the results:

Queens of Combat 11 (afternoon show):

Kennadi Brink d. Rudy Jordan – a fun opener with Kennadi putting on a solid effort to take out Ms. Jordan
Devyn Nicole d. Samantha Heights – this was a back-and-forth affair with Samantha using some powerful kicks to slow Devyn, but the more powerful Devyn prevailed.  After the match, Savannah Evans and Aerial Monroe invited Devyn to join them as the Sexy Young Caramels
Dominique Fabiano d. Ray Lynn McAwesome – this was a fun match with both women showing considerable skill.
Jessicka Havok d. D’Arcy Dixon – D’Arcy was able to use her strength and quickness for a while, but in the end Jessicka showed why she is a dominant force in women’s wrestling.  After the match, she called out Taeler Hendrix to set up the title match for the evening show.
LuFisto d. Solo Darling – the serious war machine vs. the often comedic Solo with a tail was a very entertaining match with a lot of great wrestling by both women.
Nicole Savoy d. Tessa Blanchard – Tessa has come a very long way since her debut in Queens of Combat, and Nicole Savoy is a wrestling machine.  This was a standout match with Nicole getting Tessa to submit to a brutal armbar variation.
Savannah Evans and Aerial Monroe d. Malia Hosaka and Su Yung – this match saw a lot of back-and-forth action between the veterans and the less experienced team of Evans and Monroe, but they were able to get the victory nonetheless.  Malia and Su argued through much of the match, which would end up setting up their match for the evening show.
Taeler Hendrix d. Candice LeRae – this was a great match with both women putting forth a strong effort.

Queens of Combat 12 (evening show):

Dominique Fabiano d. Rudy Jordan – both women wrestled well in this one, but Dominique was able to go 2 for 2 and get the victory
Devyn Nicole, Savannah Evans, and Aerial Monroe d. Kennadi Brink, Samantha Heights, and Ray Lynn McAwesome – this was an entertaining match, with the team of Devyn, Savannah, and Aerial better able to coordinate their efforts and earn the victory
Solo Darling d. D’Arcy Dixon – this was both competitive and entertaining, with D’Arcy able to dominate at times with her power.  In the end, Solo “sugared up” and got the win.
Nicole Savoy d. LuFisto – this is one of those matches you need to go out of your way to see – both women went all-out in this one, with the action spilling out of the ring at times.  Nicole was able to make LuFisto submit with the same armbar variation she used on Tessa Blanchard in the first show.  After the match, she also made a valid case for why she has earned a shot at Taeler’s title.

Tessa Blanchard d. Candice LeRae – this was a really fun, competitive match between two very talented and constantly improving wrestlers, with Tessa getting the duke in the end.
Malia Hosaka vs. Su Yung ended in a double count-out – this started as a fight with a chair involved for most of the match, and it turned into an absolute war after Su nailed Malia with a somersault dive while Malia was seated in a metal chair – the chair broke, and Malia went on the warpath, slamming Su on the announcer’s table and screaming a challenge for her to get up.  Both women were absolutely on fire in this one.
Taeler Hendrix d. Jessicka Havok after a distraction by Nicole Savoy – this match was an absolute war – at one point, both women were seated opposite each other at ringside and were just blasting each other repeatedly with forearms to the face.  This is as intense as I have ever seen Taeler in a match, and Jessicka appeared to have the title won when Nicole Savoy appeared outside the ring and distracted her.  Referee Frank Gastineau got destroyed by Jessicka after the match for his troubles.
