If performers are in need of retooling their character/gimmick, does it come directly from Vince McMahon and Kevin Dunn or do the performers have must say in the matter?
They have minimal say, except if they are top of the card talents. And if they are at the top of the card, there really isn’t retooling needed all that often.
I have somewhat of a strange question. I recently had some Twitter exchange humour with Dolph Ziggler and noticed was getting likes, replies and retweets from other fans. But I noticed I was getting too many replies from one particular account about how much she loves Ziggler and so on. I did a little research and saw she's posted threatening videos to female wrestlers that Ziggler interacts with and its really creepy. I've also noticed other wrestlers have had online stalkers. My question is do the wrestlers and WWE have procedures for things like this?
I am sure they monitor it to some degree, and gauge the potential threats, but let’s be honest, tracking lunatics on the internet could provide a lot of lot of people will full time work. There are a lot of losers out there.
Really excited for the upcoming WWE Cruiserweight tournament. Do you think if Neville is back in time for the tapings he, or Kalisto, will be part of the tournament?
I hope not. I don’t think the idea of it is to put an established guy down into the tournament. I think the point is to have newer talent get the chance to show WWE management what they can do. It would be a real step back, in my opinion, for Neville or Kalisto to be in that tournament. They have already made the main roster.
Bayley has done it all in NXT. Her chasing the title for a second time seems redundant to me. Why keep her there instead of bringing her up to the main roster? Now would have been the perfect time for her to go up and rekindle her feud with Sasha, who, as referenced in the above question, they are doing nothing with while she waits her turn for a title shot.
There are few reasons. One, if they bring her up now she could get lost in the division. Sasha Banks hasn’t even gotten her run at the Title yet so bringing Bayley up to be just another wrestler doesn’t make sense. More importantly though, NXT is touring nationally and internationally now. They need talents on the shows that will sell tickets. She is definitely one of those people.
I'm a little confused. I know that WWE Creative has little regard for logic, but please explain this to me : Charles Robinson takes a payoff, and very clearly signals that Natalya tapped, when we could all see she didn't. (He said she vocalized it). Yet since that match, he has not been fined, suspended, fired, or in any way disciplined for it. He is still just working as if nothing happened. Yes I know it is just a storyline, but with him facing no punishment for his actions, what message do you think that sends to "The Universe"?
I think it tells the fans that following up on storylines isn’t the company’s top priority and that the fans shouldn’t look for a lot of depth in the angles that they run.
