Would it have really been that difficult to have Undertaker cut a promo intimidating Vince into giving Shane a shot at running RAW? They could've taped it before Wrestlemania, after Wrestlemania or the day after for RAW. That would've helped the storyline make some sense. I despise the lack of continuity these days. They want to make it more like a soap opera but soap operas don't have the gaping plot holes of WWE. Now I'm supposed to care about a Backlash announcement that was supposed to be the focal point of Wrestlemania. It's dumb and lazy.
You bring up a good point. That would have been a far better way for WWE to get us to where we are with the Shane storyline, but it was not to be. The idea is that Vince set up Shane to fail but was then surprised by all the good reaction from the fans and gave him more power.
Do you believe that Daniel Bryan will make it into the hall of fame? I think it's definitely a hall of fame career. And if so, do you think they'll rush him in this year or would they hold him off to use as a headliner down the line?
Bryan will go in one day, but my gut feeling is that he wants distance from the business right now and perhaps next year isn't the year for him, but we will see.
Samsons Drifter gimmick is fizzling. And while I would love WWE to push Damian Sandow, I don't think it's in the cards. Should WWE package the 2 as a tag team ala Ryder and Mojo? They look similar enough they could call them the Brothers Sandow... Just as long as they don't call them the Elightened Drifters. Could be a best case scenario for both men at this point.
Obviously, you sent this before they released Sandow, but I am with you 100%, that would have been an idea for him and Elias Samson.
Seems like an interesting move for Evolve to give a platform to a top TNA name to public ally rip on WWE and Triple H, given Evolves recent WWE ties. I know Evolve is their own entity and has autonomy. But do you think Evolve cleared things with Triple H first? Has there been any heat from WWE towards Evolve for the angle?
I think that if EVOLVE believed for even one second that WWE or Triple H would frown on the angle, it never would have happened.
Whatever happened to Terry Gibbs?
The last I heard, he was living in the Pittsburgh area.
