WWE SMACKDOWN REPORT: IC TITLE MATCH PARTICPANTS IN TAG MATCH, DANA BROOKE'S IN RING DEBUT, GOLDANGO BREEZES INTO THE TRUTH, AND MORE

We are in Des Moines, Iowa and your announcers are Mauro Ranallo, Byron Saxton, and Jerry Lawler.

Dean Ambrose makes his way to the ring.

We see what happened on Monday night when Dean stole Chris Jericho’s jacket and destroyed it.

Dean says he has owed a lot of people money before, but $15,000?  Chris says he owes him $15,000 for destroying that stupid Christmas tree jacket.  Dean says they are even because Chris destroyed his famous plant so he destroyed Chris’ famous jacket.  It was an eye for an eye.

Dean says he is upset because Chris tried to end his career by hitting him in the head with the potted plant.  He tried to take everything from him.  He does not get to interview Carrot Top on some podcast.  This ring is all he has.  As long as this heart is beating, ain’t no one going to take that away.  Dean says where he comes from, it is an eye for an eye.  If Chris tries to take everything from him, he will take everything from Chris.

Dean says he is going to start off by taking one of Chris’ goofy looking scarves and he will put it through a shredder.  Does he destroy another jacket?  Does he shave off that Bon Jovi haircut?  He is going to take away what makes Chris Jericho Chris Jericho.  That ego.  He is going to take what makes Chris stand up taller and puff out his chest farther and hold his chin up higher.  Chris tells people he is the best in the world.  When he is done, Chris will question whether this wrestling thing is even for him.

Chris Jericho’s pyro and music interrupt.

The lights go out but we don’t see Chris make his lighted way to the ring.
The lights come back on and Ambrose is down while Jericho stands over Dean with a bag.  Chris takes out a straitjacket and he tells Dean if he wants to be the lunatic. . .

Chris puts a straitjacket on an unconscious Ambrose.  Chris tells Dean to get crazy and then Chris kicks Dean in the head.  Chris punches Dean and he tells him to get crazy.  Dean kicks Chris and tries for a shoulder tackle since his arms are tied up in the straitjacket.  Jericho with a Codebreaker. 

Officials come to the ring to help up Ambrose and hold Jericho at bay.  Jericho does not listen to the officials and he gives Ambrose another Codebreaker.

Chris says since he already gave it to Dean Ambrose, he is going to give you all that you need.  He gives everyone the Gift of Jericho and he tells everyone to drink it in.

Rusev is in the back and he is knocking lids of cases over as he goes to the ring for his match.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Lana does the introduction for Rusev.

Match Number One:  Rusev (with Lana) versus Sin Cara (with Kalisto)

Rusev goes after Cara but Cara moves.  Cara with a kick but Rusev with a knee and kicks to Cara.  Rusev with an elbow drop followed by a second elbow drop.  Rusev with kicks and he asks Kalisto if he sees this.  Rusev with a round kick to the upper chest and Cara goes down again.  Rusev with a slam to Cara and he punches Cara in the head. 

Rusev continues to look at Kalisto as he gestures with an imaginary title belt.  Cara with a drop kick to the knee and more kicks to the leg.  Car  with forearms and an elbow.  Cara kicks Rusev away in the corner followed by punches.  Rusev misses a splash into the corner.  Cara is sent to the apron and Cara with an enzuigiri.  Cara goes up top for a senton and hits it.  Cara gets a near fall while Lana throws water in Kalisto’s face.

Cara goes up top and Rusev with a press slam.  Rusev goes to the floor and he hits a jumping thrust kick to the back of the head.  Rusev returns to the ring and hits the jumping thrust kick and follows with the Accolade and Cara taps out.

Winner:  Rusev

After the match, Rusev stands over Kalisto and he asks Kalisto if he said something because he cannot hear him.  Rusev holds the United States title belt and says it is his title.

Renee Young is in the interview area with Emma.  Renee asks Emma about the feud with Becky Lynch and the surprise that she unveiled.  We see Dana Brooke’s main roster debut.

Renee asks about Dana Brooke and Dana appears.

Dana says that Renee must not watch the WWE Network because she is beautiful.  She took care of Becky Lynch so she is defiant.  She tells Renee to look at her arms and she says she is a bodybuilding champion.

Renee asks why is Dana targeting Becky.

Dana says that when NXT started, Emma was the leading woman of that division.  Everyone forgets that but Dana.  Becky dresses like a reject out of Wonderland and she is cracking puns.  The WWE Universe goes gaga over her.  That is not right and she will put an end to that.
Emma says that Dana has her debut match against Becky.  Dana says that you won’t be asking who Dana Brooke is after this match, you will ask what happened to Becky Lynch.  Dana says that this is her playground and playtime is over.

We go to commercial.

Match Number Two:  Dana Brooke (with Emma) versus Becky Lynch

Dana with a kick and forearm to the back.  Becky with forearms to Dana followed by a kick and European uppercut.  Becky with a forearm and a flying forearm to send Dana down to the mat.  Becky misses a forearm in the corner and hits the turnbuckles.  Dana pulls Becky to the mat and she punches Becky on the mat.  Dana with a kick and she chokes Becky in the ropes.

Dana with kicks to the midsection followed by a snap mare and a hesitation elbow drop and she gets a near fall.  Dana with kicks to the back and a modified bow and arrow on Becky.  Becky with an inside cradle for a near fall.  Dana with a running boot to the chest but Becky with forearms.  Becky with clotheslines and a leg lariat.  Becky with a running forearm into the corner followed by an Irish whip and back heel kick.  Dana sends Becky into the ropes throat first.

Emma with a punch to the injured eye from the floor and Dana with a single leg take down into a jackknife cover and Dana gets the three count.

Winner:  Dana Brooke

We take a look back at what happened on Raw in the six man elimination tag match.

We are in the locker room and Anderson says they will go extreme on the Usos tonight while AJ is going to go extreme on Roman at Extreme Rules.  Luke cannot believe that AJ got banned from ringside tonight.  AJ tells them not to worry.  Take care of the Usos and if Roman shows up, he will have their backs.

We go to commercial.

We are back and the New Day make their way to the ring.

We see what happened on Raw when the Vaudevillains attacked the champions during their match against the Dudleys.

Xavier says this past Monday night, your WWE World Tag Team Champions were putting that work on the Dudleys . . . again.  Kofi says the Vaudevillains decided to come out here and stick their noses where they did not belong.

Big E says the Vaudevillains put their noses up their . . .

Kofi and Xavier stop Big E before he says a no no word.

Kofi says Big E is trying to say that the Vaudevillains put their noses in their BOOTY-Os.

Xavier says they Kanye Wested them. 

Big E says they married a woman with a big round . . .

Xavier tells Big E to stop and everyone knows what he is trying to do. 

Big E asks if he can and Kofi tells Big E there are kids here.

Xavier says they were Kanye’d because The Vaudevillains came out and interrupted when the segment had nothing to do with them. 

Kofi says the Vaudevillains are stuck in the 1830s.  Xavier says they are going to make like Doc Brown and smack them back to the future.

BECAUSE . . . NEW DAY ROCKS.

The Vaudevillains interrupt and Aiden tells the children to hush.  He says they are real men.  They are gentlemen of a bygone era with an education and intellect that they use to outsmart their loudmouthed adolescent opponents.  Aiden says at Extreme Rules, you can call them the WWE World Tag Team Champions (as he sings that line).

Simon applauds the performance and then he says soon the sun will set on this new day.  The night, it belongs to the Vaudevillains.

Aiden says boots down and dukes up.  May the best MAN win.

Match Number Two:  Aiden English (with Simon Gotch) versus Kofi Kingston (with Big E and Xavier Woods)

Kofi with a drop kick as the bell rings and then he kicks Aiden in the corner.  Kofi with more kicks and then he hits the Francesca aided drop kick into the corner.  Aiden with a punch and then he sends Kofi into the turnbuckles.  Aiden with an Irish whip but Kofi with a missile drop kick.  Kofi goes for a baseball slide but Aiden ducks and then Aiden sends Kofi into the ring post.  Aiden puts Kofi over the apron and punches him.

Aiden kicks Kofi and drops a knee for a near fall.  Aiden with a knee to the back followed by a punch.  Aiden chokes Kofi by the ropes.  Aiden with a punch to the midsection followed by an Irish whip but Kofi with a pendulum kick and Aiden is staggered.  Kofi goes up top and hits a chop to the top of the head.  Kofi with a drop kick and splash into the corner.  Kofi goes up for a double jump cross body and he gets a near fall. 

Kofi with a jumping clothesline and he sets for the Boom Drop and connects.  Kofi sets for Trouble in Paradise but Gotch distracts Kofi for a moment.  Kofi with a kick and he goes to the turnbuckles for Shadows over Hell and he gets a near fall.  Gotch tries to get into the ring but Big E and Woods pull him out of the ring.  All three men are sent to the back.

Kofi with an O’Connor Roll for a near fall.  Kofi goes for a sunset flip in the corner but English holds the ropes and drops down for the three count.

Winner:  Aiden English

The Usos are with Roman Reigns and they are talking about how Roman is banned from ringside.  Roman says rules are rules and he tells them to represent the bloodline.  He says if AJ tries to show his face, he will show that AJ is making a mistake.

We go to commercial.

Match Number Three:  Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso versus Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson

Anderson and Jey start things off.  Anderson misses a punch and Jey with uppercuts.  Jey with punches but Anderson with an Irish whip.  Jey slides into the corner and connects with an uppercut.  Jey with a shoulder in the corner and Jimmy tags in and hits a flying forearm into the corner.  Jimmy with a flying forearm and he gets a near fall. 

Jimmy with a chop but Anderson with a drop kick.  Gallows tags in but Jimmy with punches.  Gallows pulls Jimmy down by the hair.  Gallows with a running splash into the corner followed by a slam.  Gallows with another slam.  Gallows misses a leg drop but he stops Jimmy from making the tag and hits a short arm clothesline. 

Gallows sends Jimmy into the turnbuckles and Anderson tags in.  Anderson with European uppercuts and punches.  Jimmy with an uppercut and chop.  Anderson with a knee and hard Irish whip.  Gallows tags in and he kicks Jimmy in the corner.  Gallows misses an elbow drop and Jey tags in and he connects with a few flying clotheslines but they do not work.  Gallows blocks a sunset flip attempt by Jey.  Jey with a thrust kick and uppercut.  Anderson makes the tag and Gallows chases after Jey and Gallows goes over the top rope to the floor.  Jey with a power slam to Anderson. 

Jey with a Samoan drop attempt but Anderson gets to his feet and he sends Jey to the floor.  Jey with a punch to Anderson but Gallows with a running boot to Jey. 

We go to commercial.

We are back and Anderson with a leaping knee drop for a near fall.  Anderson with another leaping knee drop to Jey.  Anderson with a European uppercut and Gallows tags in and he connects with uppercuts.  Gallows with a suplex for a near fall.  Gallows with elbows to the chest and a reverse chin lock.  Anderson tags back in and Anderson with a reverse chin lock. 

Jimmy tries to make the tag but Anderson pulls Jey away from his corner and he knocks Jimmy off the apron.  Gallows with an uppercut from the floor and Anderson gets a near fall.  Gallows tags back in and he punches Jey.  Galows with punches in the corner followed by an uppercut.  Gallows with an Irish whip but he misses a splash into the corner and Jey with a super kick.

Both men are down and Jimmy and Anderson tag in.  Jimmy with clotheslines followed by a thrust kick and uppercut.  Jimmy with a Samoan drop and then he sets for the running butt splash into the corner and he misses when Anderson gets up.  Anderson runs into a super kick and Jimmy goes up top for the Superfly Splash but Gallows pulls Jimmy out of the ring.  Gallows throws Jimmy over the announce table and the referee calls for the bell.

Winners:  Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso (by disqualification)

After the match, Jey with a plancha onto Gallows.  Anderson sends Jey into the ring steps.  Anderson with a flying boot to the head.  Jimmy with a clothesline off the announce table to Anderson.  Gallows hits Jimmy in the back with a steel chair.  Anderson hits Jey in the back with the chair.

We see R Truth and Tyler Breeze in the back taking selfies while Fandango and Goldust are trying to dance.  We go to commercial.

We are back and it is time for Life Lessons with Darren Young and his life coach Bob Backlund. 

Bob says he has a few questions for Darren.  He wants to know what time his watch says.  Darren pulls out his phone and Bob wants to know what he is doing.  Darren says he is pulling out his phone.  Bob says that he is asking Darren what time it is and Darren is on the phone?  Darren says he is looking on the phone for the time.  Bob tells Darren that he should not waste the operator’s time by asking for the time.  He tells Darren to look at his watch.  Darren says no one wears watches any more.  Bob says that being on time is his core principle.  Darren says he is always on time.  He sets alerts on his phone.  Bob says they need to organize his desktop.  Bob talks about Darren’s mailbox and calendar.  He says you put the desktop on top of the desk. 

Darren says they call all of that a smartphone.  Bob says he does not care if they call it Einstein.  He tells Darren to do 100 squats.  Darren says something and Bob tells him to do 200.  Bob says they are going to make Darren Young great again.

Match Number Four:  Tyler Breeze and R Truth versus Fandango and Goldust

Breeze and Fandango start things off.  They lock up and Truth is tagged in and Fandango tags in Goldust.  Goldust slowly enters the ring and they talk instead of wrestle.  Fandango and Tyler want their partners to hit their opponents.  Truth tags in Breeze.  Goldust thinks about tagging in Fandango.  Breeze pushes Truth to the floor.  Fandango comes into the ring and he gets between Goldust and Breeze and he pushes Breeze.

Goldust wants to know what Fandango is doing and Fandango is clotheslining Goldust and Breeze gets the three count.

Winners:  Tyler Breeze and R Truth

After the match, Fandango and Breeze attack Goldust.  Truth comes in and he goes after Breeze, but Fandango attacks Truth.  Fandango and Breeze continue the attack as Goldust protects Truth.

We are back with a recap of the Puerto Rico Tourism Video Packages because Epico and Primo return next week.

We take a look at what happened on Raw between Paige and Charlotte.

Renee Young is with Charlotte and Ric Flair.  Renee asks Charlotte about seeing her father being escorted out of Raw and how it must have been a difficult situation.

Charlotte takes the mic and she says a difficult situation is when her driver shows up five minutes late.  What happened on Monday was a travesty.  Her father is a two time Hall of Famer and a sixteen time World Champion.  She says her father does not get manhandled. 

Renee brings up that led to Charlotte’s loss to Paige and she asks Charlotte if she thinks that will lead to the same result next Sunday at Extreme Rules. 

Ric says that is the most ridiculous question he has ever heard.  Flair says he is the dirtiest player in the game and he has taught Charlotte everything he knows.  Whether he is there in body or not, he will always be there in spirit.  She will go on to another Flair victory. 

Ric with an emphatic wooo while Charlotte’s lacks that oomph.  Flair wooos again.

We go to commercial.

We are back and while Owens waits for Miz to make his way to the ring, Owens says that he is giving Miz one more chance.

Match Number Five:  Cesaro and Sami Zayn versus Miz and Kevin Owens

Cesaro and Miz start things off and Cesaro with a waist lock and take down.  Cesaro floats over and he picks up Miz for a dead lift side salto and he gets a near fall.  Cesaro with a side head lock and then he hits a tilt-a-whirl back breaker for a near fall. Miz has a kick blocked and Cesaro with a Dragon Screw Leg Whip and Miz gets to the ropes as Cesaro sets fro the giant swing.

Owens wants to get in and Miz tags him in.  Zayn is tagged in and Owens wants to tag Miz back in but Miz goes to the floor.  Zayn with punches  but Owens with a kick.  Zayn with a clothesline.  Zayn climbs the turnbuckles and punches Owens.  Owens with a back elbow and Miz tags in and he punches and kicks Zayn.

Miz goes to the floor and Zayn sets for a dive to the floor but Miz is moved out of the way by Maryse.  Owens argues with Miz and Cesaro with a cannonball onto Owens while Zayn hits a flip plancha onto Miz and we go to commercial.

We are back and Zayn with a slam to Miz for a near fall.  Zayn tries for a slam but Miz escapes and punches Zayn.  Zayn backs up to the ropes and Miz keeps running and then he cannot stop so Zayn drops down and Miz goes over the top rope to the floor.  Zayn goes to the floor and argues with Maryse.  Owens hits Zayn from behind and Miz runs Zayn into the ringside barrier.  Miz sends Zayn into the announce table and back into the ring and he gets a near fall.  Miz with a knee to the back and Owens tags in.  Owens with a snap mare and kick from Miz followed by a back senton from Owens for a near fall.  Owens with a kick to Zayn.  Owens punches Zayn and Miz tags in.  Miz with kicks and he chokes Zayn in the corner.  Miz keeps Zayn from making the tag and he applies a modified camel clutch.  Zayn with punches but Miz with Reality Check for a near fall.  Zayn with a rollup for a near fall followed by a clothesline and both men are down.

Zayn with a Blue Thunder Bomb and both men are down again. 

Cesaro and Owens tag in and Cesaro with a number of European uppercuts.  Cesaro with five Irish whips and running European uppercuts followed by a drop kick.  Cesaro with a boot to send Miz to the floor.  Cesaro is sent to the apron and he connects with a boot to Owens.  Cesaro with a running European uppercut to Miz against the ringside barrier and then he hits one on Owens hanging over the ropes.  Cesaro with a cross body for a near fall.  Cesaro sets for the Giant Swing but Miz stops him.  Miz tries for the Skull Crushing Finale but Cesaro with elbows and a standing switch.  Miz backs Cesaro into the corner.  Zayn with a Helluva Kick that accidentally hits Cesaro.  Owens with a frog splash for the three count.

Winners:  Kevin Owens and Miz

After the match, Miz attacks Zayn and punches him.  Owens with a pop up power bomb to Zayn and the Miz with a Skull Crushing Finale on Owens.
