WWE NXT REPORT: JOE'S FIRST TELEVISION MATCH AS CHAMPION, FEEL THE RAGE, THE REVIVAL GETS HYPED, AND MORE

We are in Winter Park, Florida and your announcers are Tom Phillips and Corey Graves.

Tom reminds us that Samoa Joe won the NXT Title at a house show in Lowell, Massachusetts.
Speaking of the NXT Champion, Samoa Joe makes his way to the ring.

Joe says what stands before you is a man who keeps his word.  Despite the best efforts of your beloved former champion Finn Balor, I am much like death and taxes.  He is inevitable and he stands before you as your new NXT Champion.  Joe says today he puts the world on notice.  It is a new era.  It is his time and if anybody has a problem with that, he will have no problem beating you down and choking you out.
Music plays and Eric Young makes his way onto the stage.

Young says that Joe knows him and he knows Joe.  You are Samoa Joe . . . a wrecking machine.  The baddest man in the land.  The NXT champion.  He says he knows another thing for sure.  The only thing in life that is guaranteed is change.  As sure as he is standing in front of you, things are going to change.  He says he collects championships.  Things change for you Joe, and now they are going to change for him.

Joe and Young go face to face and then Joe leaves the ring and walks up the ramp.

Joe tells Eric he does not belong in the same ring as him.  The next time you do, he is going to beat his ass.

Corey says that he is not often speechless, but Eric Young appearing has done just that.

We go to commercial.

Match Number One:  Nia Jax versus Tessa Blanchard

They lock up and Nia sends Tessa into the corner and connects with a splash.  She misses a second splash.  Tessa with forearms but Nia pushes Tessa back to the mat.  Tessa tries for a cross body and she bounces off Nia.  Nia with elbow drops and a splash into the corner.  Nia sends Tessa into the corner and hits a Samoan Drop followed by a leg drop for the three count.

Winner:  Nia Jax

We go to commercial.

Match Number Two:  Tye Dillinger versus Austin Aries

They lock up and Dillinger with a side head lock.  Dillinger with a shoulder tackle and he gets a near fall.  Aries with a single leg take down into a side head lock.  Aries floats over and connects with arm drags into an arm bar.  Dillinger gets back to his feet and Dillinger with a punch.  Aries with forearms.  Dillinger with an Irish whip and Aries gets his boot up.  Aries goes over Dillinger but Dillinger with a back breaker for a near fall.

Dillinger with knees to the back and a boot to the head.  Dillinger with a hard Irish whip and he gets a near fall.  Dillinger kicks Aries in the back.  Dillinger with a chop but Aries chops back.  They go back and forth with forearms and Aries with a chop.  Aries with a clothesline but Aries is sent over the top rope to the apron.  Aries boxes the ears and hits a slingshot splash.  Aries with a corkscrew slingshot pescado onto Dillinger.  Aries with a neck breaker from the apron using the second rope for more damage to the neck.

Aries goes for the running drop kick into the corner but Dillinger gets his knees up.  Dillinger with a Ushigoroshi for a near fall.  Dilinger pulls down the knee pad but Aries with a roaring elbow.  Aries with the running drop kick into the corner and then he goes up top for the 450 splash and the three count.

Winner:  Austin Aries

We see footage from last week when The Revival attacked The Hype Bros.

We go to commercial.

Match Number Three:  Zack Ryder and Mojo Rawley versus Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder

Wilder and Ryder start things off.  They lock up and Wilder backs Ryder into the corner and he punches Ryder but Ryder with punches and he goes after Dawson on the apron.  Ryder gets his knees up but Dawson distracts Ryder and Wilder pulls Ryder off the turnbuckles.  Dawson tags in and connects with elbows to the top of the head.  Dawson with a punch and he has a discussion with the referee.

Dawson with a front face lock followed by a clothesline.  Wilder tags in and Wilder with a knee and he kicks Ryder in the corner.  Wilder with a European uppercut.  Dawson tags in and Wilder with a drop toe hold and Dawson with a leg drop and he gets a near fall.  Dawson with a cobra clutch on Ryder.  Ryder with punches but Wilder tags in and Ryder with a snap mare to Dawson.  Wilder with a kick to the head.

Wilder with a forearm to the back and kicks in the corner.  Wilder with a side head lock and he goes for a bulldog into the corner but Ryder pushes Wilder into the turnbuckles.  Rawley tags in and hits a few shoulder tackles.  Rawley with a knee to knock Dawson down.  Rawley with a POUNCE.  Dawson makes the tag and they hit the Shatter Machine for the three count.

Winners:  Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson

Alex Riley is in the interview area and he is asked about his match next week against the King of Strong Style Shinsuke Nakamura.

Alex says that he does not know what Strong Style is.  He says what will happen next week.  Someone half his size and a tenth as strong as him with zero athletic coordination will punch him as fast as he can.  Then a raging lunatic will punch him back as hard as they can.  He says that he has heard that Shinsuke Nakamura has been handing out beatings all over the world.  Next week, it is time to rage.

We go to commercial.

Match Number Four:  No Way Jose versus Noah Kekoa

Jose dances around before locking up.  They lock up and Jose with a wrist lock and a single leg trip into a key lock.  Jose with an arm bar and a flying mare.  Noah with a punch and Jose punches back.  Jose with a double sledge or two followed by a running bulldog.  Jose winds up and connects with a punch and Jose hits a full nelson slam for the three count.

Winner:  No Way Jose

Cathy Kelley is with Austin Aries is in the interview area and he is asked about his win over Tye Dillinger.  Austin comments on how Cathy is looking tonight after thanking her for the comments about his match.  Austin says that Tye is A Level Talent.  Aries says that he is A Double Talent.  He says that his career is off to a good start but there is something strange.  He was a top acquisition but he is flying under the radar.  He says he might need some initiative to get to the top.  He says that he needs to eat a banana to get his potassium levels up.

We go to commercial.

We are back and we have a Finn Balor video package and he will be back next week.

Match Number Five:  Samoa Joe versus Eric Young in a Non Title Match

They lock up and Young goes for the arm with a wrist lock.  Joe with a reversal and he takes Young to the mat.  Young with a reversal when he gets back to his feet.  Joe with a forearm and Young with a forearm of his own.  They go back and forth with Joe getting the advantage.  Young with punches.  Joe with an Irish whip and Young floats over and hits a drop kick.  Young with a kick and a swinging neck breaker for a near fall.

Young sends Joe into the turnbuckles a few times.  Young with a kick and punch.  Joe sends Young over the top rope to the floor.  Joe with a suicide dive and Young is down on the ramp.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Joe with chops.  Joe with a forearm and Young with forearms and punches.  Joe with a back elbow and he gets a near fall.  Joe with head butts but Young with punches.  Joe with an Irish whip and Joe with an elbow and enzuigiri in the corner.  Joe gets a near fall.  Joe with a head butt.  Joe with a nerve hold on Young.  Young with elbows to Joe but Joe with a reverse atomic drop and running boot followed by a back senton for a near fall. 

Joe kicks Young and he runs his forearm across the bridge of the nose.  Joe with jabs to Young.  Young punches back.  Young charges into the corner and connects with a splash.  Joe with an Irish whip and back body drop.  Joe chokes Young in the corner and the referee warns him.  Joe with jabs to Young but Young with punches and a European uppercut.  Young with a punch and Joe with a back elbow.  Joe gets a near fall.  Joe with jabs to Young followed by an Irish whip and Young does the Young flip to the apron and he slides under Joe.  Young with a flying forearm and a suplex.

Young goes up top and hits an elbow drop but Joe kicks out at two.  Joe with a chop.  Young sets for a piledriver but Joe blocks it and chops Young.  Joe misses a splash into the corner and Young runs into an STJoe.  Joe with palm strikes and then he puts Young on the turnbuckles for the Musclebuster and Joe chokes out Young and Young taps out.

Winner:  Samoa Joe

After the match, Joe refuses to release the hold.  Eventually, Joe releases the hold.

We go to credits.
