Drax Vol. 2: The Children's Crusade

Marvel Comics' Drax series, written by former WWE champion CM Punk, will have it's first five issues collected as a trade paperback and will be released on 6/7.  The official promotional material for the release reads: "You know him as the heavily tattooed muscle for everybody's favorite spacefaring super team, but what does Drax do when he's not Guarding the Galaxy? Pursue his own bloodthirsty quest to achieve his destiny and slay Thanos, of course! Determined to find and kill the Titan once and for all, Drax is ready to take on the universe, one heavy hitter at a time! When Drax the Destroyer and Terrax the Tamer walk into a space cantina, it's no joke. Then there's the Temple of Foom! Fin Fang Foom, that is. You know Drax's motto, though: the bigger they are, the harder they die screaming. It's Drax the Destroyer, rampaging through space on a starship named the Space Sucker. You just know, whatever happens, this one is gonna be epic!"  To order Volume One, click here.

Drax Volume Two is also up for pre-sale.  The synopsis for that volume: "Annihilus. Ultron. Fin Fang Foom. They were all pieces of cake. Now, Drax prepares to take on the toughest challenge of his life... a gaggle of (partially traumatized) alien children who need to get back to their home planets. Don't worry! Drax will fi nd other stuff to destroy. Like maybe...nap times? Homework? Poo poo diapies?"

I've read the first seven issues of the book, by the way, and Punk has a lot of awesome characters that probably would pop the most die-hard Marvel fans popping up over the course of the story.  It's been a fun romp.

Through The Shattered Glass

Former WCW and USWA star Jeannie Clarke aka Lady Blossom has released an autobiography "Through The Shattered Glass", which is available now for purchase.  Clarke was married to Steve Austin and coined the phrase "Stone Cold" for his WWF persona.  Missy Hyatt wrote an introduction for the book while Kevin Von Erich penned a foreword.  Promotional material for the book reads:

It began as the classic rags to riches story of a girl who escaped a life of misery to attain accidental fame and fortune in the United States. But what happened to the girl when the American dream became a living nightmare? Jeanie Clarke, who shot to wrestling stardom as Lady Blossom, reveals all in this frank account of her individual rise, fall and retribution, and struggles to sustain a family with a husband who was driven to become the greatest wrestling star the world had ever known. For years, she suffered in silence to survive personal tragedy, the pressures of fame, and drug addiction: a self-destructive lifestyle that spiralled out of control. This uncompromising autobiography exposes the dark nature of the substance abuse culture which gripped the entertainment industry, examining the consequences to a broken family that it created. It is a detailed account of her highs and lows during a lifetime in the wrestling business, and the ultimate cost it had on those around her. This is a story of personal survival that remained unknown... until now.
