Sting said in an interview in the last 24hrs that he had been booked for Mania, was going to retire after this Mania, and mentioned multiple times in the interview how badly he wanted the Taker match.  Does that all but confirm the match was booked for this year until Sting got hurt? With his WWE background of wanting to take out the Authority, this current storyline would have more or less worked the same (I believe the same can be said of Cena was still involved).  Otherwise, do you believe that Sting - face paint and all - should interfere in the Undertaker match Mania just to have a moment, or even risk it and challenge Undertaker to a match at 33?

It doesn’t confirm it, no.  It just tells you that he wanted the match.  There is no way I could advocate Sting taking bumps, under any circumstance, when there is a serious possibility that he could be paralyzed.  I don’t have a problem with him having non-contact involvement, but I don’t want him in any situation where he could get hurt.

Why are the AXS TV episodes of New Japan so far out of date? You would think that it might be better to show their current product in the US and not have performers that don't work there anymore.

Airing a current product costs more money in rights fees.  With New Japan selling their network, it would probably be a huge cost to AXS.

Do you think that VKM will dump all over the UT and have Shane win? And what do you think will happen regardless of who wins; that is, what will happen should Shane win, and what will happen if UT wins? It seems like a lose-lose proposition to me.

I could definitely see Shane winning (with a lot of bells and whistles).  And yes, I agree, it will be bizarre.  If Shane wins, while fans should be happy that Vince loses Raw, Taker also loses in one of his last Mania matches, in his home state, to an older non-wrestler.  If Taker wins, the fans that wanted to see Vince get his may be unhappy.  They had better have a good idea planned for this one.

Sami Zayn. Usually when someone comes to the main roster, there is some fanfare; videos, offstage drama, etc. But with Sami Zayn, they just kind of put him out there. Do you think that that lessens the impact he could have. and might have, had?

I do.  Instead of playing up his feud with Kevin Owens and making him seem strong, they have booked him as just another guy.  Unfortunately, they have done that a lot with the NXT guys.  I don’t understand their mindset in doing that.  It just leads to assets being wasted.

How different was the pay and work schedule for a guy like Stan Hansen In Japan compared to his peers in WWE or WCW at the time?

There is no set figure since everyone made different amounts.  Hansen loved working in Japan and his wife is Japanese, so that added to the allure.  He was compensated very well there.  He also got to work the tour schedule for All Japan, which meant he could work in the US too if he wanted to.
