1994 - 1994 - In an unfortunate incident that would make both men famous, Mick Foley lost his ear while wrestling Big Van Vader on a WCW event in Dresden, Germany. The stage was set for the incident when the ring crew, who were not WCW's normal crew, were asked to tighten the ropes by a wrestler earlier in the night when they were loose. The ropes, actually elevator cable wrapped in rubber, were tightened to the maximum possible. During the bout, Foley did a spot where he trapped his neck in the ropes, only he was legitimately trapped. He pulled himself free, tearing his ear in the process. The match continued, with neither man realizing the severity of the damage, and Foley's eat fell off after absorbing a Vader blow. The ear was rushed backstage and put on ice. The cartilage was surgically inserted under Foley's other ear so he could eventually have reconstructive surgery and get it fixed. Foley opted not to have the surgery and returned to the ring. He eventually filed suit against WCW for the incident (and an internal memo mocking it shortly after) but under Georgia law, could not sue the company. The entire incident would go on to serve as the opening chapter for "Have A Nice Day", Foley's first autobiography, which was a massive hit.

- Harlem Heat defeated The Public Enemy in a Texas Tornado match when Booker T pinned Rocco Rock with the Harlem Hangover after Steve McMichael interfered and hit Rocco with a metal briefcase.
- WCW Television Champion Prince Iaukea defeated Rey Mysterio Jr. The match ended in a time limit draw, but they requested more time. Mysterio went for a rana, but Iaukea rolled through it into a sunset flip to pin Mysterio.
- Team NWO (Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, Scott Hall & Kevin Nash) defeated Team Piper (Roddy Piper, Chris Benoit, Steve McMichael & Jeff Jarrett) and Team WCW (Lex Luger, The Giant & Scott Steiner). Rick Steiner was supposed to be on Team WCW, but was attacked, presumably by the NWO, and unable to participate. The rules of the match were that wrestlers would enter the ring in intervals (ala a Royal Rumble), and would be eliminated by pinfall, submission or being thrown over the top rope to the floor. Here are the eliminations:
- Scott Hall ducked a charging Giant, who went over the top rope to the floor to be eliminated.
- Kevin Nash clotheslined Jeff Jarrett over the top rope to eliminate him.
- Scott Hall backdropped Steve McMichael over the top rope to eliminate him.
- Scott Hall threw Scott Steiner over the top rope to eliminate him.

- Scott Hall and Kevin Nash threw Chris Benoit over the top rope eliminating him, and ending Team Piper's chances of winning.
- Lex Luger made Randy Savage submit to the Torture Rack to eliminate him.
- Lex Luger threw Kevin Nash over the top rope to eliminate him.
- Lex Luger made Scott Hall submit to the Torture Rack to eliminate him.
- Hulk Hogan pinned Lex Luger after Randy Savage blinded him with spray paint. After the match, Sting repelled into the ring to beat up the NWO.

2003 - Justin Credible defeats Steve Corino in Queens, New York to win the Premier Wrestling Federation Heavyweight Title for the second time, ending Corino's fourth reign as champion.

2004 - During an edition of Smackdown from Boston, Massachusetts, Rey Mysterio earned a World Title bout by winning a gauntlet match.  Shelton Benjamin defeated Charlie Haas and Billy Gunn in back-to-back matches, but lost to Mysterio, who went on to beat the Big Show via countout (due to John Cena attacking Show) and earned the title shot at Eddie Guerrero, who beat Rey with a small package after Rey attempted a springboard legdrop.

2007 - MTV quietly removed their scheduled airing of the final Wrestling Society X episode from the 10:30 PM slot, replacing it with an airing of The Real World. When reached this morning, one MTV source claimed that the episode was never officially set to air. It was listed until the day of the airing by both TV Guide and the MTV website's schedule.   The finale, which was to feature an exploding steel cage match, would never air in the United States.  It would be finally seen when the promotion's complete season was released on DVD.

2007 - Mick Foley's third memoir "The Hardcore Diaries" debuted at number 12 on the non-fiction side of the Wall Street Journal Best Seller list.  It came in at number 46 on the USA Today Best Seller listing (which covers all books).  It was number 10 in the Non Fiction listing of Publisher Weekly's Best Sellers.

2008 - "Playboy" Gary Hart (real name Gary Williams), best known for his work managing and booking for World Class Championship Wrestling passed away

Hart was 66 at the time of his death.  Hart had just appeared at a fan signing and recorded a shoot interview in Pennsylvania for KayfabeCommentaries.com the day before returning home to Texas.  He was found at home by one of his sons a short time after arriving home.

Although he originally broke in wrestling as "Playboy" Gary Hart in the mid-west territories and toured internationally for Jim Barnett's WCW in Australia, Hart's true legacy in the business will be his role in booking one of the all-time greatest wrestling promotions, Fritz Von Erich's World Class Championship Wrestling, while managing names like Abdullah the Butcher, King Kong Bundy, Gino Hernandez, Chris Adams and The Great Kabuki, among others with a straight forward, devious, gravely voice.  The straight-man Hart was often paired with the wild characters of the era, doling out the threats as they looked on, colorful and bug-eyed.

During its strength, WCCW was one of the most emotional, popular promotions of all time.  There is not one performer, one company today that comes close to the emotional investment the Texas fans had in their performers during that era in the 1980s.  None.  Hart had a lot to do with that, handling the creative aspect of the booking and evolution of a number of the territory's performers.

Hart left World Class following a dispute with Fritz Von Erich over money as he was promised a percentage of the gate and wasn't getting it after the successful Christmas angle where Terry Gordy slammed the cage door into the head of Kerry Von Erich during his challenge of Ric Flair for the NWA title, which sparked the Von Erich vs. Fabulous Freebirds feud that put the company on the map. Hart returned to World Class in 1986 after his replacement, Johnny Mantel jumped to Bill Watt's UWF with a number of World Class performers, but the promotion never regained its former glory.

Hart moved on to Jim Crockett Promotions in 1987, managing "The Latin Heartthrob" Al Perez and Larry Zbyszko.  He became a central figure during the classic 1989 feud between then-NWA champion Ric Flair and Terry Funk, showing up unannounced as Funk's manager at the Great American Bash '89 PPV in Baltimore and also managing a young Keiji Mutoh, who was on fire as The Great Muta during a feud against Sting at the time.  The storyline was that Muta was the son of Kabuki, who Hart had originally brought to the United States.

Hart would become the manager of the J-Tex Corporation, adding Dick Slater, Buzz Sawyer and the Dragon Master (Kendo Nagasaki), while Brian Pillman and later Ole and Arn Anderson would join Flair and Sting.  Hart's run continued until the end of 1989, where Flair defeated Funk in an amazing I Quit Match in Troy, NY at Clash of the Champions IX: New York Knockout.  Hart turned on Funk after he quit.  Funk turned babyface, but left the ring for a color commentary role.  Hart left shortly after.

After leaving the NWA, Hart worked on the Global Wrestling Federation, an upstart promotion that had a daily timeslot on ESPN in the early 1990s.  Global was bad beyond words, partially because ESPN didn't want violence on the air, to the point Hart had taken to wearing a terrible toupee on the air.  After Global went down, Hart, like other stars of the World Class area, worked numerous independent promotions in the Texas area, but never regained the glory of the Von Erich era.

Hart's last work on a national level took place in 2004 during the latter days of Court Bauer's MLW, where he did an angle attacking Terry Funk, still upset over Funk having submitted to Ric Flair during that classic 1989 feud.  The plan at the time was to link Hart with Low Ki and Homicide.  Hart's son Chad wrestled briefly as well.

Hart was one of the central figures in the two documentaries released on the legacy of World Class, Brain Harrison's Heroes of World Class and WWE's Triumph and Tragedy of World Class, where he received raves for his insight into the company, the implosion of the Von Erich family, and became very emotional when it came to the overdose death of heel performer Gino Hernandez during the height of World Class' run.

In recent years, Hart had been a regular appearing at fan conventions in Charlotte, North Carolina for Greg Price.  At the time of his death, Hart was working on the finishing touches of a planned book about his experiences in the business, which was likely going to be self-published.  That book was later released via http://playboygaryhart.net/ and was one of the best books ever written on the industry.

2009 - WWE broadcast Raw.  Ed Sherriffs filed the following TV report:

It's the antepenultimate episode of RAW before Wrestlemania XXV! JBL, the great American, teams up with the Moscow Mauler, Vladimir Kozlov, to take on The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels, in the unique situation of opponents at the PPV teaming up to wrestle at a tag team before the big show. Unanswered questions include whether or not Ric Flair will come out of retirement to face Chris Jericho, is Triple H still in jail, and who is paying to repair Randy Orton's window. The show opens with a painstakingly long recap of last week's contract signing with Cena bringing back GTV.

Shawn Michaels & The Undertaker vs. JBL & Vladimir Kozlov

Lawler says that he can't believe that HBK and Taker are teaming, which makes me wonder if he's seen RAW before. Michaels leaps on Kozlov, then quickly tags Taker in. They exchange shots, then Taker blocks a charge. Kozlov is clotheslined out of the ring before going to commercial.

When we return, HBK is tagging in to chop JBL. He comes off the ropes with a flying forearm, followed by an inverted atomic drop and scoop slam. Michaels goes to the top and hits the top rope elbow drop. Kozlov distracts him and JBL gets his own Sweet Chin Music. Kozlov tags in and wastes no time. Headbutts to the chest, followed by a slam for two. JBL comes back in and pounds HBK, then gets two with a clothesline. Kozlov back in, and he applies a bearhug. Michaels fights out and reverses the chokeslam with a DDT.

Michaels crawls to his corner and tags in Taker just as Kozlov tags in JBL. Taker punches JBL, then charges in the corner a couple of times. Taker takes JBL back in time for Old School. Taker hits Snake Eyes (classic Taker), followed by a big boot and elbow drop. Michaels with a blind tag and he hits Sweet Chin Music on JBL for the win.

Your winners, Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker!

Taker is none too happy and he chases Shawn to the back. Michaels seemingly retreats, then he comes back out and tags Taker with Sweet Chin Music and celebrates on the stage. Commercial.

Edge walks into Vickie's office and she is apologetic. He has something he wants to tell her. He forgives her. She tries to say that Big Show forced himself on her. Edge says their love is for real. He blames Cena for their troubles. He says no one can take away what they have, then she says she hopes he wins at Mania. They kiss.

Recap of Randy Orton, the Playboy Model, and Trips Breaking and Entering last week. Too many recaps when there are only three RAWs left including this one. Lawler says that HHH posted bail and Randy Orton decided not to file charges, so HHH is facing Cody Rhodes tonight.

Orton is in the back with the rest of Legacy and Todd Grisham. He asks why Orton dropped the charges. Orton says he the H is a homicidal maniac. If he went to jail, though, his debt to Orton would not be paid. Rather than a court of law, it will be Orton's Law at Wrestlemania, where he will pass sentence and become WWE Champion. Commercial.

In this week's "Wow We're Excellent" graphic, we learn that WWE Smackdown is the fastest episodic program in history to reach 500 episodes...or something.

Mickie James, Kelly Kelly & Melina vs. Beth Phoenix, Rosa Mendes & Jillian

Mickie and Beth start off. Beth powers Mickie into the corner, but misses an attack. She gets the better of Mickie and puts her on the ground, then steps on her throat. Snapmare by Beth. Mickie fights back, but runs into a shoulderblock. Mickie makes the tag to Melina. Melina dicks a punch from Beth, then hits a handspring back elbow. Melina takes Beth to the mat by her hair for two. Melina blocks a charge, then hits a senton off the middle rope. Beth with a backbreaker for two. Santino's interference doesn't go as planned, and Melina rolls up Beth for the win.

Your winners, Mickie James, Kelly Kelly & Melina!

12 Rounds preview. Insert your favorite Orange Sash joke here. I will say that having Governor Carchetti from The Wire makes it more interesting.

Cena vs. Edge is on for tonight.

HHH vs. Cody Rhodes

Orton and DiBiase are there for back up. HHH is not distracted and he easily handles Rhodes. They go outside the ring, and HHH throws him around. The trusty sledgehammer is retrieved from underneath the ring and HHH taunts Orton. Cody gets up, then he is put down with a Pedigree. HHH calls for the steel cage to be lowered. Cole and Lawler are in awe, so I guess they didn't look up tonight. HHH leaves the ring to chase Orton and DiBiase towards the back. The steel cage is completely lowered. The bell rings and the match is officially on.

HHH punches Rhodes in the face. Orton starts to climb up, but HHH tosses Rhodes into the cage, then does it again to stop DiBiase. No one can get in the ring with Trips throwing Rhodes around at will. Orton and HHH go face to face with the cage between them, as HHH taunts him with a sledgehammer. DiBiase makes it to the top, but Triple H stops him from entering. He tells Orton to watch, then nails Rhodes in the face with the sledgehammer.

Your winner, Triple H!

It kind of sucks to see Rhodes beaten so badly with no offense, but you knew it was coming. Makes me wish the Legacy B Team of Manu or Sim were still around to take that beating. HHH sits atop the cage and stares at Orton.

Rey Mysterio vs. Dolph Ziggler

Dolph gets no entrance music, so we know where this is headed. Dolph with a wrist lock. He takes Rey down and gets some punches. Rey has issued a challenge to wrestle JBL at Wrestlemania. He tries a weak cover for two, followed by two after an elbow drop. Full Nelson by Ziggler. He drops Mysterio on the mat, but Rey kicks back. Rey ranas Dolph into the corner in a vintage move. Senton out of the corner. Another rana sends Dolph into the ropes, followed by a 619 and a splash for the vintage win.

Your winner, Rey Mysterio!

It remains to be seen if JBL will accept Rey's challenge for a match at Wrestlemania.

Another special graphic tells us WWE ran a lot of live events, more than several sporting leagues combined. They might have been playing fast and loose with the facts here, but I'm not doing the math.

Chris Jericho comes out ready to wrestle. He blames Flair for keeping him out of actual Wrestlemania, so tonight will be his Wrestlemania. He calls Flair pathetic and says that he doesn't want to stay on the sidelines, then he calls him a joke, washed up, etc. But Jericho is giving him another chance to bask in the adulation of the hypocrites. He is giving Flair a chance and Flair's music plays. Flair is not dressed to wrestle.

Flair gets on the mic and says even though he knows he can beat Jericho, he is officially retired as an active competitor. He will always be the man, though. He does not want to tarnish the great sendoff last year, calling it the greatest night of his career. He says he can't wrestle Jericho, but he has found some men that can.

Superfly Snuka is out first, followed by Ricky the Dragon Steamboat, and finally, Rowdy Roddy Piper. The Hall of Famers head to the ring. They surround Jericho in the ring. They get on the apron. Go for Snuka first, Jericho! Jericho tries to run, but the olde timers get a couple of shots in, including a right hand from Flair.

Jericho vs. Geritol at Wrestlemania!

The "25th Anniversary" of Wrestlemania brings us clips from Wrestlemania XV, which happened in the home of the World Champion Philadelphia Phillies and the Liberty Bell. Remember the Brawl For All? Bart Gunn is shown getting peppered by Butterbean. The Corporate Champion The Rock faced off with Stone Cold Steve Austin. Austin won the belt that night, in case you forgot.

Jericho, reeling from the Old Folk's Home attacking, says he is upset at them for ruining his Wrestlemania. He is incredulous at the thought that he should be called embarrassed, but then challenges his elderly attackers to a match at Wrestlemania. He demands that Flair be in the corner of the Legends that night, saying the pain the has beens feel will be on his hands. He remembers to tell Mickey Rourke that he is buying a front row seat. And this ending won't be ambiguous, it will be tragic, as Jericho puts the old men out of their misery.

Kane, Shelton Benjamin & Mark Henry vs. Kofi Kingston, MVP & CM Punk

Christian, Finlay and Hornswoggle are on commentary. Kofi and Shelton go at it to start. Henry tags in and headbutts Kingston. Kofi avoids a charge, then tags MVP in. They team to dropkick Henry. MVP dropkicks Henry into his corner, where Kane is tagged in. MVP avoids a charge and hits the Drive By in the corner. The faces and heels stare down like the Sharks and the Jets. Commercial.

During the break, I got a commercial for CHIKARA King of Trios. It's the weekend of March 27 for those who will be in the Philadelphia area. I never see effort like this from CZW, the other local promotion. For information, visit www.CHIKARApro.com.

Back to RAW, Kane is stretching Kofi's back after Kofi ran into a big boot. Side slam by Kane. Shelton Benjamin tags in. Finlay smartly wonders why no one is turning on their partner, saying they should be trying to take each other out. Benjamin keeps Kingston on the mat. Benjamin with an abdominal stretch on Kingston. Finlay says he would cash MITB in at Wrestlemania 25 if he won. Punk tags in and takes Benjamin down with a leg lariat. Charge in the corner, followed by a bulldog for two when Kane breaks the pin up. Kofi takes Kane out of the ring. MVP sends Benjamin into a GTS and Punk pins him for the win.

Your winners, MVP, Kofi Kingston and CM Punk!

A look at John Cena's costar in 12 Rounds, Ashley Scott, she of the late Jericho (Mike Johnson's favorite, cancelled show, not the wrestler). [Note from Mike: Damn you, CBS. Damn you.]

Vickie is wearing a referee's outfit and asking Big Show what he is doing here. She accuses Big Show of using her to get in the title match. He says that isn't true, and says Vickie pursued him. They both know that Show is anatomically superior to Edge. Bigger feet? Big Show tells her to calm down and says Edge is using the tactics he accuses Show of using. Show tells Vickie Edge doesn't love her, but he (Show) does. Show then kisses Vickie before telling her she looks sexy in her shirt. Commercial, and not a moment too soon.

HHH is leaving and Grisham wants to know how he got Vickie Guerrero to cooperate by lowering the cage. He doesn't answer, but we see Stephanie McMahon in the front seat.

Edge vs. John Cena w/ Special Guest Referee Vickie Guerrero

Edge with a side headlock to start. Cena throws him off. Edge throws Cena into the corner, but Cena reverses another whip. Suplex by Cena, but Vickie won't count the cover. Edge attacks from behind and stomps away. Cena takes a spill over the top. Cena's head is slammed on the announcer's table, then he is whipped into the steel stairs. Edge gets ready for the spear, but he finds turnbuckle instead. Blue Thunder by Cena, and you can't see him, Vickie. Vickie covers Edge for a moment, but she gets up and Cena still hits the 5 Knuckle Shuffle. She keeps Cena from hitting the Attitude Adjustment, but Cena applies the STF (no U). Vickie applies her own chinlock.

The Big Show comes out and goes after Cena. Edge joins in. They tie Cena up in the ropes. Edge hits a spear. Big Show with some punches. Edge turns on Show and spears him. Edge stands tall, and now there are only two RAWs before Wrestlemania.

2010 - Mick Foley was on The Daily Show.  Ken sent the following....Funnily enough while equating Congress and the conflict of the filibuster with pro wrestling, correspondent Wyatt Cenac first mentioned how Shawn Michaels is angry with the Undertaker. Jon Stewart also called Shawn "the good guy" and Undertaker "the bad guy" - assuming Stewart really watches wrestling, I guess he thinks Taker's the heel this year.  Then Cenac brought Foley out as Senior Ass Kicker, in a TNA shirt, where Mick cut a promo both for and against the filibuster, while Cenac acted like an old school manager in the background. (In the anti-filibuster promo, Mick also used Blassie's old "pencil necked geeks" line.) After Stewart called pro wrestling fake, Mick left the green screen area and showed Stewart his ripped off ear, to which Stewart climbed on his desk verbally tapped out, and ran away. That ended the segment.

2010 - WWE broadcast NXT.  Richard Trionfo filed the following TV report:

Matt Striker tells us that in two weeks, the first round of votes will be completed and we will get their evaluations.

2013 - ROH airs TV on Sinclair Broadcasting.  Richard Trionfo filed the following TV report:

We begin the show with a look back at the World Title Match between Jay Lethal and Kevin Steen at the 11th Anniversary Show. Kevin Steen was successful and we saw more people join SCUM. Now that war has been declared on Ring of Honor, what is next?

We are in Chicago Ridge, Illinois and it is Kevin ‘RI’ Kelly and Caleb ‘Look at his facials on commentary’ Seltzer.

Nigel McGuinness is in the ring with the SCUM-free members of the Ring of Honor roster on the apron. Nigel says that this is Ring of Honor. He tells everyone that it just got real. They have been disrespected and the future of this company has been threatened. SCUM fired a shot that was heard across the wrestling world. They won a battle but they started a war that we will be able to fight.

They are still standing and they are still united. They are still standing and united because they believe in this company. Steve Corino said three things. SCUM will go down in history as the people who killed Ring of Honor, that there were no credible contenders to Kevin Steen, and that honor is dead.

Look at everyone in the ring and everyone in the crowd and Steve knows that honor will never die. If Steve wants to talk about credible contenders, they are all around the ring. Adam Cole defended the World Title with pride and honor. He raised it to a level and if that is not a credible contender, he does not know what is. Cole will get a title match in the future.

Adam was supposed to wrestle Matt Hardy for the Television Title. Next week, Adam will face Matt Hardy and the winner will get a World Television Title Match at Supercard of Honor.

Someone else who proved that he was a credible title contender is BJ Whitmer. He proved that by beating the living hell out of Charlie Haas, he is more than capable of taking the title from around Kevin Steen’s waists.

Michael Elgin and Jay Lethal have fallen short but they are still title contenders. Michael Elgin will face Jay Lethal at Supercard of Honor and the winner will get a title match.

Roderick Strong interrupts Nigel and Nigel tells Roddy to take is seriously and have a seat. They will talk about it in the back.

Nigel wants to talk about the pioneers of honor in this company, the Briscoes. On March 30th, Mark will face Kevin Steen for the title. Jay Briscoe is nearly one of the founding fathers of the company. Nigel does not know if Jay deserves the title match at Supercard of Honor.

Jay says that he might have a separated shoulder, but because of what Kevin Steen and SCUM has done, he will fight with one arm.

Nigel tells Jay to get the job done.

Nigel says that due to situations out of his control, SCUM is banned from the building today. SCUM is not allowed in the building. If he has to put his job on the line, the doors will be open for them.

Nigel tells the wrestlers to get in the ring to send a message to SCUM. They are not running or hiding. The doors will be open. They will need to fight and fight together.

2014 - Phil Brooks "aka CM Punk" appeared on AMC's "The Talking Dead" discussing an episode of "The Walking Dead" in his first post-WWE appearance publicly.

With the exception of his Twitter handle (@CMPunk) and being referred to as "aka CM Punk" during his introduction at the open of the show, Brooks was referred to by his given name over the course of the episode.

There were absolutely no references to WWE, Wrestlemania or anything regarding his walk-out in January.

The only reference, even in passing to the last few months was Brooks commenting, "Trust me, right now, I'm a completely new person", in regard to being called "sweet" by guest Yvette Nicole Brown while discussing the topic of forgiveness involving two characters on "Walking Dead." The two had been on the talk show together previously.

If anything, Brooks was more subdued than one might expect and looked extremely, extremely well rested, a stark change from the latter days of his WWE run.

2015 - WWE announced that Kevin Owens underwent knee surgery.

2015 - WWE broadcast Raw.  Richard Trionfo filed the following TV report:

Last week, the Authority thought Randy Orton was part of their family. However, by the end of the night we found out that Randy was not going to be part of their plans and he attacked Seth Rollins and then in a pre-recorded interview that aired during Smackdown, he made a challenge to Rollins. What will Seth do in his home state? More importantly, who will have the Intercontinental Title belt at the end of the night?

We are in Des Moines, Iowa and your announcers are Michael Cole, John Layfield, and Booker T.

We start off like last week with Big Show, Kane, Joey Mercury, Jamie Noble, and Seth Rollins in the center of the ring.

Seth says you chant his name now, but he says that they probably loved what they just saw. That is called betrayal. There is no other way to describe it. He gets it. Not a lot of you understand what it is like to be betrayed because you need to be a somebody to be betrayed. For nobodies like all of you, that is called getting screwed over.

For important people like him who made it out of Iowa and made something with their lives, that is betrayal. That is exactly what happened to him last week courtesy of the Viper Randy Orton.

It wasn't just that he betrayed him, it was how he did it. He stalked Seth like an animal. Randy mocked him while he suffered. He vouched for Orton and he called him a friend and family member. Randy betrayed him. He says you are all thinking that was what you did to the Shield. That is nothing like he did to the Shield. What he did to the Shield was a sound business decision.

It was a business decision made to secure his future. What Randy did was so much different. What he did was in cold blood and without the tiniest bit of human decency or empathy. It was borderline sociopathic. For three weeks, Randy Orton schemed and he conned his way back into the Authority. He made fools of everyone, including Stephanie and Triple H. Without their generosity to welcome him back, this never would have happened.

Big Show tells Seth that he owes him an apology. He says that he is sorry. He says that he feels partially responsible for what happened to him. He sees Seth as the future and the best damn talent in the WWE. What Randy Orton did was cruel. He betrayed our trust. Show says he thought Randy could get past his petty grievances and put that behind him, but Randy is a no good snake in the grass. Show says that whether is a viper, rattlesnake, or a garden snake, he will step on it.

Kane apologizes as well. He wasn’t as gullible as Big Show, but he was suckered in. Randy will pay for what he did to us.

Jamie says that knows he is considered the secret weapon of the Authority, he smelled a rat when Randy came in. He does not care about what Randy did to him, he cares about what he did to you Seth. You are his boss and friend. What Randy did to you, it hurt him too. Jamie says it hurt Joey the most.

Joey takes the mic and cannot say anything.

Seth says that it hurt, but Randy's ego will be hurt the most when it is over. For years and years, Randy thought that he could get away with what he wanted when he wanted without any consequences. You have never messed with anyone like him. You want to challenge him to a match at Wrestlemania?

Seth looks at the sign and he tells Orton that he accepts, but only under one condition. You agree to face him tonight in this ring on Raw. You like to call yourself the face of the WWE, but you are nothing more than a scheming . . .

Randy's music plays and he makes his way to the stage.

Randy tells Seth he is not the face of the WWE, he is just a guy. A guy who last week, made you look like a little bitch. He is the guy who is going to beat your ass tonight because he accepts Seth's condition to respond to his challenge. Randy knows it will be five on one later tonight with the deck stacked against him. Seth, you need all the help you can get because he has enough venom for all of the Authority.

If he suffers a beatdown tonight, it will be worth it to get his hands on Seth at Wrestlemania. You better hope you get it done tonight because if you make it to Wrestlemania, he will finish Seth.

We go to commercial with AJ Lee and Paige walking in the back.

We are back and the Bellas are in the Goldman Box. Brie mentions Paige and AJ were at their throats recently, but now they are best friends. Nikki says Paige and AJ will be embarrassed at Wrestlemania.

In case you missed their match on Smackdown, we will see the six men repeat what they did tonight when Dean Ambrose, Daniel Bryan, and Dolph Ziggler face Wade Barrett, Luke Harper, and Stardust.

We are back and we are less than two weeks from Wrestlemania with a two hour preshow before the four hour show. Michael Cole says there will be more than 15 hours of coverage from California on Wrestlemania week.

We take a look back at what happened on Smackdown when Mark Henry interrupted Roman Reigns and then got sent through the ringside barrier into Yeatonville.

We are going to get comments from Brock Lesnar later.

Renee Young is with Kane and Big Show in the interview area. Renee asks what role they are going to have in the Rollins/Orton match. Kane says Big Show will be in Seth’s corner, based on his decision.

Show wants Kane to talk to him like a human being instead of blabbing it out in front of everyone.

Kane says he makes all of the decisions.

Seth Rollins comes into the interview area and he tells them to calm down because this is what got them sent home last week. You represent the Authority so you represent Triple H, Stephanie, and him. He calls them stupid.

Kane says Stephanie can address them how she wants, but you cannot. They enjoyed what happened to him last week. You have been acting like an entitled little brat since he helped you win the Money in the Bank Ladder Match. Kane says that he will not be at ringside with Seth Rollins. Kane asks Show if he wants to be at ringside.

Show looks at Rollins without saying anything and walks away.

We are back and we go to the Goldman Box. Miz says he is still the Miz, future winner of the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. He has an assistant who will guarantee his victory or he will be fired and be removed from existence.

Match Number Two: Ryback versus Miz (with Damien Sandow)

They lock up and Miz sends Ryback into the corner and he kicks and punches him. Miz with more kicks to Ryback and the referee warns him. Ryback presses Miz over his head and then hits a power slam but Miz rolls to the floor. Ryback follows and he tells Sandow to hit Miz. Sandow thinks about it but Miz with an elbow and Miz tells Sandow to put the fist down.

Ryback with a kick and they get back into the ring. Ryback with a spinebuster and then he sets for the clothesline and connects. Ryback with the musclebuster for the three count.

Winner: Ryback

After the match, Sandow helps Miz up and Miz hits the Skull Crushing Finale on Sandow.

We take a look at the John Cena and Rusev situation. We see how John Cena bullied his way into a match at Wrestlemania against Rusev when Lana agreed to give it to him.

We are back and Sheamus will be coming back soon.

Michael Cole is in the ring and the contract signing table has Russian and American flags on the end.

John Cena comes out first. Michael tells John the contract is on the table and he asks John to sign it. John looks at the contract but he takes the mic and he says there is a lot of enthusiasm for Wrestlemania and he shares that enthusiasm. He says he has signed a lot of contracts, but this is the most important. You will be introduced to a super athlete who is the hero of the Russian Federation. He has destroyed every challenge put in front of him. Rusev is the Champion of the United States.

John wants everyone to think about that. It means that Rusev represents the United States of America. Rusev represents each and every one of you. That is what makes this contract and match at Wrestlemania important. He can do what he did last week. He can kicks Rusev’s ass all over the place, but as long as he wears the United States Title belt, he represents each and every one of you.

Cena says enough is enough. These are the facts. Rusev has the luxury to live in the United States. America has provided him great opportunity, but every chance he can, he belittles the United States. Cena says he is disgusted. It is disrespectful that Rusev represents this country, the place he calls home.

He tells everyone to let the USA chant fill you with excitement and love for the United States. John says that he has stood on the front line with the people who provide everyone the freedom of speech and assembly. He is ashamed to know that Rusev is the United States Champion. Cena says that this contract is his Declaration of Independence and Wrestlemania is their Revolutionary War.

America is the greatest country because they will not back down and he will fight. At Wrestlemania, Rusev will find out you can only push the USA so far before it comes back and kicks your ass.

Rusev comes out and he is joined by someone who does not look like Lana, but a lot like Miz.

Rusev is given the contract, but New Lana takes the mic. He says that as Mr. Rusev’s attorney, he will not be signing this contract. Rusev will not be competing against American John Cena in Wrestlemania. Rusev did not agree to this match or any other one.

We see footage from two weeks ago when Stephanie said that Rusev’s mind had to be changed. Then we see last week when Lana (not Rusev) gave Cena the match.

He says that as you can see in the video footage, there is no proof that Rusev allowed the match. The contract is therefore null and void.

Rusev will sign the contract as long as Mr. John Cena can contain his American barbaric behavior and let Rusev read his prepared statement in full. If not, there is no match.

Rusev gets his prepared statement and he says America lives and dies with its belief in second chances. He beat John Cena at Fastlane but Cena continues to try for a second chance. It is because you are weak. Weakness is what is wrong with America. This country believes in failure.

Rusev says your children grow to be failures and that gets Cena irked.

Rusev says American people are stained in history. America is a cancer to the world. Oh say can you see this stupid little land. How proudly you have ruined this little country. A country that will die.

Rusev signs the contract and he pushes the table onto Cena and gets out of the ring.

We go to commercial.

We are back with Michael Cole talking about the Wrestlemania week coverage on the WWE Network, starting on Thursday at 6:00 PM.

We go to the Goldman Box again and Tyson says regardless of last week’s outcome, the New Day cannot compare to them. Cesaro says they are better physically than them, and they clap better. They say there is no way they will be the new tag team champions.

Before the match starts, Fernando, Diego, and El Torito make their way to the stage.

Match Number Three: Big E and Kofi Kingston (with Xavier Woods) versus Cesaro and Tyson Kidd (with Natalya) in a Non Title Match

We take a look at Bray Wyatt's comments from last week and Undertaker’s distant response.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Seth Rollins tells Jamie and Joey that it cannot happen the same way as last week. He cannot be left high and dry.

Jamie reminds Seth he told them to leave last week.

Seth says that he is aware of Jamie’s diverse skill set, but he did not know it meant he would argue with Seth.

Jamie tells Seth that if he would have listened to him last week, they wouldn’t be in this situation.

Seth says that he will fire Jamie Noble, but Jamie says you can’t fire him, he quits.

Seth tells Joey they don’t need him and Joey walks away.

It is time to hear what Brock Lesnar thinks about the situation with Roman Reigns.

Brock says he was put on this earth to seek and destroy people. Is that sadistic? Maybe to some people, but not to him. He enjoys it. It is what he does. It is why he is here. What does Wrestlemania mean to Brock Lesnar? It is a day he gets to show up, kick somebody’s ass and get paid to do it.

Undertaker did not stand a chance against him last year. What does he think about the people who were disappointed he beat the Undertaker? He does not care. Disappointment and surprise? He loves every minute of it.

Brock says there is one thing for sure about his contract. If he stays, he will be WWE Champion. If he goes, he will be WWE Champion. Roman Reigns will not stand in the way. As a rookie, he came in here against the Rock and sent him to Hollywood. He ended the Undertaker’s streak. He suplexed John Cena out of the main event of Wrestlemania. He doesn’t need to hunt, he needs to be in defense mode. If you were afraid of what he did in ‘hunt’ mode, wait until you see what he is like in ‘defense’ mode.

Brock says that Roman can think all he wants about beating him, but at Wrestlemania he will kick Roman’s ass. It will be unlike any ass kicking you get. There will be no fairy tale ending. At Wrestlemania, he is going to f*** up Roman Reigns. The end.

We go to commercial.

Match Number Four: Big Show versus Erick Rowan

Show attacks Rowan before the bell rings and he chokes him in the ropes. Show slams Rowan and kicks him in the back and chest. Show with a knock out punch to Rowan. Show goes to the turnbuckles and hits an elbow drop.

Show leaves the ring.

After mentioning the Andre the Giant is in the Hall of Fame, we find out that it is official. Larry Zbyszko will be in the WWE Hall of Fame.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Kane is in the ring and he tells Curtis to forget about Axelmania because there is only one person who will win the Andre the Giant Battle Royal and that is him. They are here for a demonstration of what is going to happen.

Mark Henry’s music plays and he says Wrestlemania is going to have its own March Madness in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. Mark says he is going to throw his hat in the ring because that is what he do.

We see Titus O’Neil, Adam Rose, Mark Henry, Zack Ryder, Jack Swagger, Fandango, Goldust, Darren Young, and Kane fighting as the numbers in the ring get smaller. We see Curtis Axel watching as Kane gets rid of Titus O’Neil.

Kane and Mark Henry are in the center of the ring and Kane punches Henry. Henry with a head butt and he picks up Kane and puts him on the apron. Axel knocks Kane off the apron and he tries to get rid of Henry but Henry throws Axel over the top rope.

We go to commercial.

We are back and we will see Tyson Kidd, Natalya, and Cesaro face Los Matadores and El Torito.

Paul Heyman is in the ring and he introduces himself and he reminds us who he is the advocate for. He says that Brock is the single most authentic and legitimate champion in WWE or Mixed Martial Arts, then . . . now . . . forever.

It is in that spirit that thirteen days away from Wrestlemania, his client views this whole concept of rules, regulations, and boundaries as something that was written by a pacifist. His client is not a pacifist. His client is a conqueror. His client is a beast. Brock is not coming to Wrestlemania to make love. He is coming to Wrestlemania to make war on Roman Reigns.

Here is something that nobody thought about. What happens when Brock decides to violate those parameters and boundaries that are imposed on him? Are they going to shut off the lights, cut off the feed of the pay per view? Are they going to give everyone their money back?

You are stuck with Brock Lesnar as your WWE Champion and . . .

Paul’s mic mysteriously gets turned off.

Paul says doing that to him is one thing, but what will you do when Brock does what he is not supposed to do? No one can stop Brock Lesnar, not even Roman Reigns. That is a shame because if there is one person who could live up to the hype was Roman Reigns. He was at the top in NXT, he won the Royal Rumble, he beat Daniel Bryan at Fastlane. What will happen when Brock gives him a prison beating at Wrestlemania.

Roman Reigns is not the next great Samoan AmeriCAN, he is the next great Samoan AmeriCAN’T. You cannot beat Brock Lesnar for the WWE Title at Wrestlemania.

Your father should have told you this a long time ago.

Roman Reigns makes his way to the ring while his music interrupts Paul's comments.

Roman tells Paul he has a lot of respect for him. You are possibly the best talker ever in the business. You are not talking trash about his family, you are giving everyone fair warning of where he comes from. His issue is not with Paul, but with his client.

Roman says if you were here right now, he would tell him face to face. We finally see eye to eye. He is not going into this because he does not expect a fairy tale. He is looking for a fight and hoping for a war. He expects to be carried out, but he will have help being carried out. When he is carried out, he will be carried out as the WWE Champion.

Right next to that championship is a huge chip on his shoulder. From the people who tell him he can't. He will beat Brock's ass at Wrestlemania. Not because he wants to and because he needs to. It is because he can, he will, and he believes that.

We recap everything that happened to Seth Rollins tonight.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Renee Young stops Paul Heyman in the back and she wants some comments. Paul says it is going to get interesting around here with all of that latent hostility waiting until Wrestlemania. Roman is a formidable opponent. Roman won't have to wait until Wrestlemania to get in Brock's face. He will give Roman that opportunity next week on Raw. Roman will have the opportunity to say whatever he wants to Brock's face. Paul says his toes are curling with anticipation because Brock can say or do anything he wants to Roman next week. Roman can think about it, but there is nothing that he can do about it.

Match Number Four: Dean Ambrose, Daniel Bryan, and Dolph Ziggler versus Stardust, Luke Harper, and Wade Barrett

Before the match can start, R Truth makes his way onto the stage and he does not appear to have the title belt with him.

Stardust with a shot to the eyes and then he punches Ambrose while we see Truth has the belt hanging from the back of his suit. Ambrose with a splash into the corner and a bulldog.

Ambrose with a suplex and he stands on the hand and he tags in Bryan. Bryan with a European uppercut or two and then he goes for a surfboard. Bryan with kicks to Stardust followed by a wrist lock and Ziggler tags himself in. Ziggler and Bryan have some words and Stardust goes after Ziggler but misses. Bryan clotheslines Stardust over the top rope to the floor and we go to commercial.

Bryan tags in and he drop kicks Stardust and Harper off the apron. Bryan with punches but Barrett with an Irish whip. Ziggler with a super kick to Harper. Barrett with Wasteland that sends Ziggler onto Harper and Stardust. Ambrose avoids a Bullhammer and hits the double underhook DDT for the three count.

Winners: Dean Ambrose, Daniel Bryan, and Dolph Ziggler

After the match, Harper attacks Ambrose from behind and sends him over the announce table. Harper points at Truth and Truth has a scared look on his face. Truth backs away from Harper but Ambrose hits Harper from behind. Stardust takes the title belt and goes into the crowd. Ambrose goes after Stardust and he takes the title belt.

The belt falls in front of Truth and he picks it up again. Truth backs up and turns around to Harper. Harper does the Mutombo and Truth throws the belt into the ring and it lands in front of Bryan. Ambrose hits Harper off the ringside barrier.

Ziggler grabs the belt while Bryan holds on to it. Bryan and Ziggler exchange punches. Stardust misses Beautiful Disaster on Ziggler and Ziggler with a super kick. Bryan with a flying knee to Harper. Barrett with a Bullhammer to Ziggler, Bryan, and Ambrose.

FINALLY . . . Wade Barrett has possession of the Intercontinental Title Belt.

Truth wants to talk to Barrett and Barrett says the games are over. Barrett with a Bullhammer to Truth and he is going to make it to the back with the belt.

Triple H and Stephanie are in the back and Seth Rollins enters. He wants to know if they can believe what is happening. Seth says he will be all alone in the ring with Randy tonight. He asks them how will they fix things.

Stephanie tells Seth he needs to behave and lie in the bed he made.

Seth says if she hadn’t sent Kane and Show home last week, they wouldn’t be in this situation.

Hunter wants to know who the hell Seth thinks he is.

Seth asks if Hunter is done playing hide and seek from Sting.

Stephanie tells Seth to take responsibility for his actions. She tells him to man up . . . if he can. Hunter tells Seth he should go before his situation goes from bad to worse.

We go to commercial.

We are back and we see what happened with the contract signing earlier tonight.

We now take a look at what happened last week on Raw when Bray Wyatt called out the Undertaker one more time. This time, Undertaker answered.

Bray appears in the back with a new urn. He says the memory is such a treasure. He remembers the first time he saw her sitting in that chair. She was so beautiful. Not just in her appearance, but in the things she said. She told him about the rotten lies that he was taught. He was taught about people like you Undertaker.

Last week, you tried to use that memory against him. You tried to use this symbol to burn fear into his heart. The only thing you succeeded in doing was turn a chair to dust.

Bray opens the urn and shows the ashes from his chair that was burnt.

What is going to happen to you? Will it be agony or fear? Last year we saw a broken streak and a broken, empty soul. Now you won’t show your face. At that moment the eyes of the world were opened and they were ashamed of their nakedness. Your destiny was taken.

This is all your fault and now you are out of time. Your fate is sealed. Wrestlemania will be your requiem. Your final resting place. It will be his coronation. She will be so proud to see him beat the mighty Undertaker. He will take his place amongst the gods. After Wrestlemania, no one will be safe. Behold the new face of fear.

We go to commercial.

Match Number Five: Seth Rollins versus Randy Orton

Before the match starts, Seth has something to say. He tells Randy it took you three weeks of scheming and conniving and cajoling to make every single member of the Authority look like fools.

Seth starts to laugh as if he is “PURE EVIL”, but it only took three hours to make a fool out of you.

Triple H’s music plays and the Authority is out and they are unified. Orton goes to the floor and he takes a chair because a steel chair can stop seven people.

The Authority surrounds the ring.

Rollins signals to everyone and as he gets on the apron, everyone else does.

They all get into the ring and the lights go out and a crow sounds.

The lights go back on and STING is in the ring with his bat. Orton hits people with the chair while Sting hits people with his bat.

Sting with a Vigilante Stinger Splash on Mercury and Noble. Sting with the Scorpion Death Drop to Noble.

Orton twists to the mat and he hits Mercury with an RKO.

After Raw went off the air, WWE Network broadcast the following.....

As Raw went off the air, we were told that Randy Orton and Sting would be interviewed.

Michael Cole is in the ring with Randy Orton and Sting.

Cole asks Randy to comment on being in the ring with Sting to fight off The Authority. Randy says you are not used to how things work around here Sting, but he is not the type of guy who needs someone to have his back. But, it was pretty damn cool.

Orton shakes Sting's hand.

Cole asks Sting to talk about this moment.

Sting says that he has been waiting fourteen years to get inside this ring. It feels smoking good by the way. Triple H, he meant what he said when he said that someone had to take you down. That is exactly what he is going to do at Wrestlemania.

2020 - WWE announced that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Wrestlemania 36 would be held in front of an empty WWE Performance Center without fans for the first (and hopefully last) time in Wrestlemania history.  That would lead to WWE expanding the event to being broadcast over two nights, which has remained tradition since.

2020 - WWE broadcast Monday Night Raw from an empty WWE Performance Center with an appearance from Steve Austin.  Richard Trionfo filed the following report:

We are in Orlando, Florida and your announcers are Tom Phillips, Jerry Lawler, and Byron Saxton.

Byron mentions that there is no training in the building and there is no audience, but the show will go on.   Jerry mentions that Steve Austin will be on Raw tonight.

We take a look back at what happened last week on Raw when AJ Styles called out the Undertaker.

Byron mentions that there will be a contract signing for the match between AJ Styles and Undertaker.

Tom Phillips mentions that Edge will be on Raw and . . .

Edge makes his way to the ring.

Edge says it has been a strange few months for him and his wife Beth.  We take a look at a video package.

Edge says it is a long time coming.  When your dad introduced you to me 21 years ago, everything from that moment was going to change.  Our paths would intertwine.  The Intercontinental Championship.  Rated RKO to destroy DX.  Exchanging stories talking about how we hated the same person.  We talked about how the same man motivated us to be what we are . . . Mick Foley.  There was one lesson that Edge says he took from Mick that you did not.  Grit.  The grit to stand up after all of the surgeries over the last nine years to come back to compete in the Royal Rumble.

We are alike but there is one difference.  You are an entitled brat.  You might be one of the best to do this, but you had it handed to you on a silver platter.  Your dad handed you all of this.  It kills you that I had to fight for everything I got.  I had a single mom who broke her back to make sure that I got what I have earned.

I came back after nine years and threw you out of the Royal Rumble.  You don't love me, you are jealous.  You can't do what I do and it tears you apart.

Two weeks ago, Beth comes back to give a medical update and what no one realizes is she was going to retire for me again.  Someone shouldn't be forced to retire from what they love to do not once, but twice.  You didn't let her finish.  We talked about all of those years I stopped you from making horrible decision after decision.  You pulled me out of a hole that you dug for me.  You kept me from making a terrible decision.  At Wrestlemania, if you've got the guts, it's Edge versus Orton in a Last Man Standing Match.

This is not a story that you dictate or write, I write it.  It is a redemptive story and at Wrestlemania, you won't stand back up.

We see Becky Lynch arriving at the Performance Center in her own semi truck.

We go to commercial.

We take a look back at the Men's 2020 Royal Rumble match.  You can check out the full match report in the Royal Rumble Report.

We have a video package for AJ Styles and Undertaker.

AJ is in the back with Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson.  AJ says he has the contract since he challenged Taker.  AJ says we are in the building where hundreds of prospects come to try to be the Undertaker.  AJ says Taker is on the Mount Rushmore for WWE.  You carried this company on your back but it is 2020 and you are in a world where people want to see you leave.  You don't see MIchael Jordan, Brett Favre, or Peyton Manning interject themselves into their championships.  Undertaker is interjecting himself into Wrestlemania.

It is because of Michelle McCool.

AJ tells Mark he is a shell of himself.  AJ tells Mark to let it go.  AJ says something should be telling him to take it easy on the old guy.  Twice you have stuck your nose in OC business.  You stole the trophy from him in Saudi Arabia.  Then you cost him a victory at Elimination Chamber.

You cannot hide when the lights go out and we know you cannot run.  AJ says he will pay for your assisted living costs.  AJ says he will be doing the favor when you rest in peace.

AJ signs the contract and then he asks Karl to take the contract and he has something else to do.  Luke also refuses.  Karl and Luke tell AJ to take the contract since it is his match.  AJ tells Luke and Karl to take the contract to the Undertaker.

Karl and Luke go to the ring with the contract and Karl puts it on the mat and backs away.

The lights go out and then they come back on and Taker is not in the ring but he is behind Karl and Luke.  Taker runs them into the apron and Taker punches Gallows.  Taker Irish whips Anderson into the ring steps.  Taker with punches to Gallows.  Taker sends Anderson into the ringside barrier and punches him.  Taker sends Gallows into the ringside barrier.

Taker signs the contract.

Becky tells Shayna this one is for you because you are watching.  Becky says her mere existence bothers Shayna.  You have been taught and trained to bully your way to the top.  You did it in NXT for two years.  Then on Raw, you see this ginger legend of an Irish woman and it makes you question the natural order of things.  As long as she is the champ, your existence is a lie.  Becky says she was tired of being hunted.  She is the prey that killed its predator.  Every tweet and promo is to make you think what you want about me.

You can cut through the rest of the division but Becky says she is different.  Becky tells Shayna to think of how it will feel when she beats her.  I saw you demolish the division at Elimination Chamber.  At Wrestlemania, I will prove that your life is a lie and it will hit you like a truck.
