WWC presented their event "La Hora de la Verdad" last night at the "Ydelfonso Solá Morales Stadium" in Caguas, PR.
During the main event of evening, Rey Mysterio defeated WWC's Universal Heavyweight champion "Mr. 450" Hammet. At the end of the match, Hammet missed his signature 450 splash, which gave Mysterio the opening to hitting the 619, followed but his over the top rope splash for the 3 count. After the match, Mysterio stated that since he had beat the champion, he wanted a match for the WWC Universal title. No mention of when the match would take place. However, WWC next big event is usually "Camino a la Gloria" (Path to Glory) which I believe will be scheduled for the last Saturday of March. The match could be taking place during that event.
Also, Hijo de Dos Caras (Alberto Del Rio's brother) with Konnan, defeated "Mr. Ray-tings" Ray Gonzalez in a flag match. The end came when there was a ref bump and Konnan hit a guitar shot over Gonzalez, which gave way to Hijo de Dos Caras placing the Mexican flag over him and getting the win. This feud does not look to be ending any time soon.
The show drew a really good crowd of a little over 3,700 fans.
