NYC, TAJIRI, JAPAN, LONDON ANNOUNCEMENT AND MORE: TNA NEWS AND NOTES

For those who have asked, TNA has holds on September dates at the Manhattan Center in NYC but has not officially locked them in stone. The company is looking at different potential sites. They were really in love with the NYC and Bethlehem, PA venues of late.

TNA returns to action with live events on 7/11 in Jamestown, NY and 7/12 in Niles, Ohio with Eric Young vs. Bobby Lashley for the TNA title, Bully Ray vs. EC3, Angelina Love with Velvet Sky vs. Gail Kim for the Knockouts championship, Austin Aries vs. Sanada, and TNA Tag Team champions The Wolves Eddie Edwards & Davey Richards vs. BroMans Jessie Godderz & DJ Z.

This weekend will also be the big announcement at the at the London Film & Comic Con (LFCC) as part of a special TNA panel Q&A at 5 PM locally on Saturday 7/12 in Earls Court. We are told it's a new TV series for that market.

Several TNA stars worked for Wrestle-1 in Japan on 7/6. TNA Tag Team champions The Wolves defeated Minoru and Koji Kanemoto. Former WWE and ECW star Yoshihiro Tajiri & Yusude Kodama defeated Rockstar Spud & Ethan Carter III. The Great Muta defeated Seiya Sanada.

How awesome would it be if TNA used the Wrestle-1 connection to bring Tajiri in? How much cooler would it be if they brought in Mikey Whipwreck to team with Tajiri as part of a special attraction in NYC?

As Dave wrote a few days ago, Petey Williams announced his retirement. After working his final bout for XICW in Michigan against Chris Sabin, William tweeted, "Thank you to everybody who was ever a part of my pro wrestling journey. #CanadianDestroyer"
