Although the initial plans were for him to work the Japan tour on 7/12, Chris Jericho is now advertised as doing a Highlight Reel segment at the Madison Square Garden house show that day on the MSG website. The advertising was changed this afternoon.

Jericho will also be going on next month's Australia tour.

Jericho discussed his return to the company on his latest podcast episode, noting that he and Triple H came to terms "in about five minutes" this past Friday 6/27, but the initial talk began a month ago when a WWE Creative Team member called about his interest in working with Bray Wyatt.

Jericho noted on the podcast that there was talk of him coming in to wrestle Daniel Bryan at Wrestlemania 30 but it didn't work out and at that point, he had expressed interest in working with Wyatt, but plans for Wyatt vs. John Cena had already been locked in.

Jericho noted that he flew into Boston and then drove to Hartford, CT. He waited until fans were let into the Arena to drive down to the Arena and was then hidden on a production bus for several hours. Jericho said Dean Malenko worked as the go-between between himself and Vince McMahon regarding ideas for the return and he met briefly with The Wyatt Family and The Miz before the segment.

Jericho noted that WWE is well aware of his commitments with his band Fozzy and that he made them aware of what dates he is unable to work. He also noted that Fozzy not getting on a summer tour they hoped to book opened the doors for him being able to do WWE work.
